"Obviously it's just too early to say the wizard does or does not have mana issues, that all comes down to balancing and fine tuning, and ideally of course the goal is that each class is very playable and not frustrating. Especially at early levels.
Mana orbs are actually the product of a passive skill in the wizard's arcane tree. Since we can't guarantee people will get that skill I don't think it can ever really become the deciding factor in mana regen. It is an early skill in that tree though, easy to pick up, and sure to be helpful."
I'm not worried, though.
yea, its great to see those kinds of skills, but I would like more than 1 skill to spam. It is annoying to use 1 big spell, then spectral blade x15.
BTW how much mana does teleport take, and how will they prevent it from being used to get across maps?
Im pretty sure were not going to know this till its close to release
That's the whole point of it...
Mana was never an issue in Diablo II unless you were a low level. After you get up there, unless you have a high FCR and are constantly Teleporting or something with a low skill level, you pretty much had unlimited mana. They need to find a way of balancing it, but not to much in favor of caster-haters so that you have to always be partied and picking up all manner of potions and orbs to cast, and not too much to allow an infinite casting spree.
in D3 without pots it should be fairly fast regeneration
like enough to regen while not fighting in like 4 seconds or so
but if you rapidly casted it shouldnt just regen right away only if you stop or run for a bit lol
basically the system that Scarlet Weather Rhapsody uses
when you use abilities it uses your energy meter but takes about 2 seconds before it starts filling back up
but when it does it fills up fairly fast
then blizz could maybe make some awesome equipment that regens even if your rapidly casting
but i wouldnt support such a equipment
even in high lvls there should be a limit to casting that shouldnt be improvable
just more leniant for the wizard than any other class since they rely on purely magic spells that only last as long as they hit
unlike the witch doctor who summons pets and doesnt exactly mainly rely on these kind of spells
but even so the witch doctor and the wizard should have the most out of the classes so far lol
"slap with language stick "
swear pee ppl off x3 bad boy XD
there wasnt a problem so to say but it did slow the gameplay down and there wont be mana pots anymore =3
lol couldn't have said it better myself, especially if you were making a max energy shield sorc with at least 4k+ mana and crazy mana regeneration.
I think people are forgetting insight aswell, one of the cheapest runewords ever and it basically gave you unlimited mana.
Anyways regarding diablo3 and mana im certain blizz know what theyre doing, still it just annoys me how ppl (not on this forum :)) complain about minor issues that in the end come down to them being crap at the game. The last thing i want is d3 ending up too easy.
