Blizzcast 8 is out!
It is available for download here:

Discuss what you think about this new Blizzcast which is supposed to be almost exclusively about Diablo 3.
Here are the four new Diablo 3 images that were included with BlizzCast 8 which primarily showcase the inventory system:
I (mockery) particularly like the little details, such as the difference in the stitching around the borders depending on whether you have a bag or a burlap sack selected. The inventory system as a whole looks really sharp if you ask me. What do you think about it?
(Thanks to Lord Petrov.)
Color blind people?
Anyway I do think they should have kept uniques gold and if they had to make rares purple. Not gonna kill me though.
On one he's wearing leather boots, on the other metal boots (It looks like fur? on the gameplay screen)
On one pic he's wearing gloves and on the other no gloves at all...
What I'm saying is that from what i've seen thus far, there's nothing unique about it. Diablo 2 had the same class-specific default tier clothing and armor.
They'll get to showing us more.
Ah, yeah I see. Not a huge difference (at least the gloves) still a difference though. I know that they probably have lots more work to do in the items area anyhow, so I'm not complaining just stating my stance on it since it got mentioned by others.
No, but you are the only one noticing it just now. Even if you watched the gameplay demo that stuff was in there.
That's the skill rune tree I believe, isn't it?
What guy? The only thing Bashiok said was that Blizzcast 8 would be out by the end of the month (which obviously happened) and that it would be mostly about D3 (which it was). Where are these promises of ridiculous amounts of info coming from?
That my friend is what is NEEDED. That and slightly different skins and models for each group of monsters, but they already stated that they would remain the same.
One of the things I'm looking forward to really.
and on that note, did anyone notice they un-tiered the skills... or at least it looks that way. The skill pic's are awesome too; I find no complaints there. (fourth one down, second row from the left is creepy, or rather, creepily awesome!--and I LOVE the one right under Threatening Shout! that goblin(?) is so dead, hahaha)
and I love the new runes, but I wonder if Hydra Runes are just multi-strike-esque or if they just raise the level of a skill or... ? And a Viper Rune: Poison damage? something like that?
As far as info goes, it IS kind of lacking, but I have no complaints. Good Job Blizzard.
Monsters burning to death when hit with a fire sword. Mmmm
Anyone know what that could be? Perhaps a +1 Skill kind of thing?
Maybe equipment that the character wears will actually be for doing damage, and the runes will be for +skills. That way (comparing to D2) some char's won't have simply + skills things on them for the sake of having poor combat gear
(also the d1 and d2 music in the background during the q and a made me happy)
35 death animations isn't something i thought i wanted, but who knows :/
.. maybe they know better
also this issue with colorblind.. colorblind means you can't see green or red .. nothing to do with yellow..
i honestly have had gamma issues before where they appeared similar, but it's not "colorblindness"
i wish they'd keep the colors the same.. purple just doesn't do it for me
Not a fan of the rectangular runes. I know it's so they can fit in the slot under the active skills on the skill tree; still looks super poopy in this mockup.
Not really. It's modular like in Diablo II, so each class has its own unique look, and yet only have to create about three sets of armor for each class+gender combo to accomplish that.
Oh, I can tell you straight up what it does. It's a HYDRA rune, right? It "increases" skill quantity, right?
Adds more projectiles to your projectiles. Instead of shooting one magic missile, fire two. Maybe the highest quality will fire nine?
It has to be vague since runes affect different skills differently. Magic Missile and Zoomy Dash obviously work differently. When you hover it over specific skills on your skill tree, it'll tell you more specifically what the effect is.
