NerdyShirts Diablo 3 Rainbow T-Shirt Is No More.

I'm sure most of you remember when I made a post last month about how NerdyShirts produced their own Diablo 3 rainbow t-shirt. While I would kill to own one of the original spoof shirts produced by Blizzard's employees (and judging by the poll we held, many of you would too), this new one released by NerdyShirts just wasn't nearly good enough. It was lacking big-time by comparison both in colors and detail, and I suspected it wasn't a licensed t-shirt.

When I spoke with Blizzard reps a few weeks ago about the shirt NerdyShirts was selling and whether it was licensed or not, they had no comment at the time. However, if you go to the old URL where the shirt was being sold, you'll see that it no longer exists and now redirects you to the NerdyShirts homepage. I contacted a NerdyShirts rep to see what happened to the Diablo 3 rainbow shirt and here's all he had to say:

"We are not allowed to sell that shirt anymore "

Looks like it wasn't a licensed shirt after all and I'm guessing Blizzard's legal team put the kibosh on it. I hope all of you took my advice to hold out for an officially licensed t-shirt from Blizzard rather than buying that cheap one. And Blizzard, if you're reading this... please hurry up with our official rainbow shirts!

Interesting. Now the shirt page is back online, and the shirts are now only $5.00, but every shirt is listed as "sold out"

I didn't mind the T shirt so much, I'd still buy if they have the original looking one, but if they don't, then I can say I have one of the banned ones. xD

I'm actually very surprised you found that! Did the dfans news post by mockery influence this craze, or was it more known to the public?

The one at cafepress is tempting, but I want to be to be sure it's officially licensed before I buy. And if I'm buying my wife a Diablo 3 thong, I want it to be the partner to this shirt.
