Bestiary Update: The Unburied! Plus, New Concept Art & Screenshots.

All kinds of new Diablo 3 goodies for you today! First and foremost, Blizzard has updated the Bestiary with a new creature: The Unburied! This nasty behemoth is apparently compromised of rotting corpse parts, disfigured heads, horns, sugar and spice. Ok, well maybe not those last two. See for yourself...

"Something is dreadfully wrong. Fear is in the air; I can feel it. I was but days out of Tristram when I saw a screaming ball of flame rip across the sky. Surely enough, soon after witnessing this harbinger of doom, I stumbled upon a badly mangled traveler. He was barely able to spit out the tale of the cursed monstrosity responsible for his broken body as his life drifted away. He called his killer "the unburied"." ... "Being born out of pits of human misery, these beings feed on human suffering. Wherever bodies are dumped together unceremoniously, the unburied may rise."

In other words, if you run into this big fella, don't expect him to hold your hand for a nice romantic walk in the park. Blizzard has also put up another nice media update with new concept art and screenshots, both of which feature the unburied among other things. Alright, there's obviously plenty to digest today (and by the looks of the unburied, he's been digesting quite a bit as well). So what are your thoughts on all of the latest pieces of concept art, screenshots, and The Unburied? That one piece of concept art by Peter Lee is nothing short of amazing if you ask me. Also, judging by the concept art, I think I also want a Bone Reaver for a pet.

Looks to me in the trailer like that meteor was splitting up; maybe it hit multiple places, eh? Then it could have hit the cathedral in old trist and then this new building in new trist...everyone is happy then. Look at my other post; I mean you can even see the points of the cathedral in old trist...this new building has to be something different.

i was thinking that the big romanesque building in the background is the rogue monastery as it is in what looks like a mountain pass. i know it wouldn't be that close to tristram but it's just a theory. the church in the middle ground with the tower could be the cathedral of old tristram and everything else is new tristram (also just a guess, though i like the evidence put forward from your argument). maybe it's not even tristram at all. it could be Bramwell or another town in the same region.
