In other words, if you run into this big fella, don't expect him to hold your hand for a nice romantic walk in the park. Blizzard has also put up another nice media update with new concept art and screenshots, both of which feature the unburied among other things. Take a look and click on any of the images below to see the full high-res versions!"Something is dreadfully wrong. Fear is in the air; I can feel it. I was but days out of Tristram when I saw a screaming ball of flame rip across the sky. Surely enough, soon after witnessing this harbinger of doom, I stumbled upon a badly mangled traveler. He was barely able to spit out the tale of the cursed monstrosity responsible for his broken body as his life drifted away. He called his killer "the unburied"." ... "Being born out of pits of human misery, these beings feed on human suffering. Wherever bodies are dumped together unceremoniously, the unburied may rise."

Alright, there's obviously plenty to digest today (and by the looks of the unburied, he's been digesting quite a bit as well). So what are your thoughts on all of the latest pieces of concept art, screenshots, and The Unburied? That one piece of concept art by Peter Lee is nothing short of amazing if you ask me. Also, judging by the concept art, I think I also want a Bone Reaver for a pet.

I think this bruiser looks fantastically freaky, and I can't wait to sink my blade into his flesh.

Hrm, well players can get blood splatter on them depending on life i think so I wonder if monsters can too.
I'm also not appreciating how they seem to be taking the 'waves of hulking enemies' approach in Diablo 3. While I understand it's a staple, I prefer the bigger enemies to have more of a pronounced role rather than just being corpse fodder. I'd prefer battles in Diablo 3 to be more like wading through the unrelenting swarms of the undead bastioned by hulking goliaths rather than to be something appearing in the same limited scope as Baldur's Gate or previous entries where tech limited the amount of enemies you could fight at one time.
Also: Needs alternative model features for variety. The same crap to infinity is sub-par.
I like it, but I find it odd how each one of those Unburied manage to randomly assemble themselves in the exact same way. I also find it odd how a piece of cloth manages to wrap itself around a festering beast made up of human bodies, and why no other pieces of clothing remained on those bodies.
Remember folks, bury your dead along with a nice big piece of cloth, just incase.
Yeah, most agree the loin cloth is silly. Whoever made this kind of monster wouldn't seem to care whether it's privates were exposed or not.
I really like the green orbs on it though. I'd like to think they're actually eyes of some kind that go along with that larger mouth on its side.
Oh hey, has the text on the front page changed? I really should have kept a copy of it to compare.
Yeah that text changed last year, it used to say:
I recorded it here.

Pretty sure it's just an axe viewed at an awkward angle. The shadow definitely looks like an axe to me.
I believe that is an axe. I thought it was a spear or somethin at first too, but looking closer there appears to be a shadow of an axe on the ground below the weap. Check it out.
