Diablofans Launches New Community Driven Wiki.
So where do you come in with all of this? I'm glad you asked! Up until now, we've done our best to bring you the latest Diablo-related news stories over the years and provide you with an open forum to discuss them in. We've been extremely happy with how quickly this community has grown and wanted to give you all the opportunity to build this site together. Our new Diablofans Wiki is the first of many new ways we're going to enable every single one of you to have a larger role in the future of this site.
As of this moment, you are all highly encouraged to register for a wiki account. Your Diablofans.com user accounts will not transfer over, so if you wish to have a user name associated with your contributions to the new wiki, you'll need to register on the wiki page for an account. Please note, if you do register a wiki account, you are not required to pick the same user name that you have here on the main site, but we strongly recommend that you do to avoid confusion.
We currently have a number of articles in there alreaedy. We have lore up for the total Diablo franchise and several articles on game specific characters, items, and creatures. If you find anything you can add, whether it's additional information or simply some missing images, please do so. Posted under our Diablo 3 section of the wiki, we have currently known classes listed. We also have a list of the Great Evils. As you can see, we're off to a nice start, but there's still much to be done... and that's where you come in! We invite you to join our new wiki community, join in on discussions on some of the page topics, and help post exciting new content so our collective knowledge base grows each day. Your contributions to the Diablofans wiki may even translate into forum rewards in the future among other things, though nothing is set in stone as of now. At the very least, we'll be keeping people abreast of the latest updates to the wiki on the Diablofans.com homepage and crediting the authors of them appropriately.
And speaking of giving credit where credit is due, we would also like to thank the staff over at diablo.wikia.com for helping us to set up our own wiki and getting things started off on the right foot. They've been extremely willing to help us out and it's truly appreciated, so be sure to show them your support.
Alright, that about wraps it up for now, so stretch out your fingers, register a wiki account, and start posting your contributions to our new community-driven Diablofans Wiki! If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to post them in this thread, or ask our public wiki managers PhrozenDragon, Zoltrix, and DoranM. We'll do our best to answer them quickly.
I know I speak on behalf of the entire staff when I say that we're really looking forward to seeing where we as a community can take the Diablofans Wiki! I'm sure it's going to prove to be a great resource in the long run. We also have some other great planned additions to the site right around the corner, so stay tuned for those as well.
Thanks again to all of you for your continued support of Diablofans.com!
Any chance we could get some hints on this little nugget or is it all hush-hush?
Considering this group's main focus is a forum, and there are multiple groups who's main focus is there wiki, I'd say that we would have a mighty handicap in that ambition. Not saying it's a good ambition to work towards though.
As I said, I believe our wiki is less for information and more to bring everyone together. It will not however be let known if that is true however as that would ruin the entire point, thus it only makes sense that moderators, administrators, and Umero/Mockery himself would state that it is for information. (That what I see from this all at least.)
That's the spirit. I think this if fun; I just did a bunch of Wizard spells. Gives me something to do when I'm bored. Maybe I'll start doing the other classes now. I see LinkX's point though; this is mainly a group of forum goers it seems like. I can only speak for myself; but I enjoy giving something back to this awesome community. We all share the same passion, Diablo, so why not?
However, since we do not have any other info to say otherwise atm, I think you can include the damage for now. If it does change, then we'll just change the article. The beauty if a wiki, it's so adaptable.

Honestly, do you think anyone of us could ever muster the energy needed to run a project like this if everything we did and every ounce of work we put into it would be nothing more than an empty charade to keep up appearances and make people think we worked? I know I couldn't.
I think you're way too cynical. However you could probably call us too optimistic instead and change your idea of us from scheming manipulators to ihopeful moderators
No, not one of you could muster the energy to do this, but combined efforts could make it possible as well as plausible.
(And this is my optimistic side, my pessimistic side or cynical side would make everyone weep. :D)
