~BlizzCon of 2008~

Hey everyone. Hope you guys were able to catch the online blogging by Mockery and all the announcements on the front page by myself. With BlizzCon over and everyone having a smile on their face that attended...overall was a big success for Blizzard. Here is a recap for everything that has happened.

Shown here at 6am PST on the 10th of October, people already awaiting to get inside BlizzCon.

With gigantic posters and art work and banners that filled the hall, all people entering the convention felt amazed as they were now in their own world they all know too well.

Shown above, is a long time Diablo Fanatic Gary Jones, whom repetitively played the Diablo III Demo. "That game is bad ass!", Gary states as he cannot bare the arrival of the game to stores.

Looming over the Diablo III demo area, is the Diablo III sign hanging above so Diablo Fenatics know where to go.

With over 15,000 people attending, halls filled up quick and events held were jam-packed with eager Blizzard Fans.

Areas of discussion such as interactive 3d environment that is being included into Diablo III as well as discussing the comparison of Diablo I's darkness and Diablo II's gameplay being combined into Diablo III.

With everyone's expectation met and satisfied by the outcome of BlizzCon of 2008. We are ready and set for Blizzard to release more news and announcements for the game we all love in due time. This is a major step for us and the beginning for the arrival once again, the Diablo franchise.

Great stuff, that demon concept looks awesome hopefully it looks just like that in the game too. I also like the wizard concept.

No you just have bad eyes. 2 genders for each of the released class = 6 avatars showing.

In the demo they only had three classes, what you see (L 2 R):

    M = Male | F = Female

    M Wizard (Unplayable in demo)
    F Wizard
    F Barbarian
    M Barbarian
    M Witch Doctor
    F Witch Doctor

What kind of computers did you guys play on? What kind of graphics card? Specs? (I know you might not know, but would be nice to have some info if possible).
  • #10 Thasador
They did not release any specs on the computer. The only thing you can see is that it is an Alienware comp.

Already discussed, the Demo was locked to be active at all times, and in general a computer case says little about whats in it. Simply knowing what kind of cable was used to hook monitor to the computer could lead to a bit of reassoning though, but I am sure that Blizzard overshot the requirements by far to have the game run smooth and as stunning as possible.

Thas, I hate you. Not the I hate all about you kinda way, but the jealous way ^_^ I hope you're bringing me some goodies to make up for it ;)

The concept art of the female Wizard is awesome, but it looks better ingame still. Amazing to see how you can take concept art and make it look even better.

Now that the D3 site has been updated with the wizard movie and details. They also have the Caldeum page up there. Is it just me or were those two guys up the top not there before? It's all animated now. i don't remember it looking like that..

lol, na. I think those are just npcs that will be in caldeum, like guards of caldeum. It would be really sloppy of them to put some character up like that.
