BlizzCon is well under way, and the moment that every Diablo fan has been waiting for since the game was announced barely three months ago has finally arrived: the announcement of the new class.
I dunno guys, WD and Wiz are really beautiful classes so far, the focus off the Barb has gone...who knows he might have some shit that'll make us salivate. I mean we haven't seen too many skills from this bad boy
I think the wizard is too much... she is pretty cool and will be fun to play but she just about can do anything in the world time arcane space fire lightning ice wind, she's not specialized enough in my opinion
just a tought cuz what made the character so cool in D2 was that they each were unique and specialized in their own domain..
I'd say they have listened a lot to the petition signers. Have you seen the wiz trailer? It's dark!
-coloured fog
+darkness and candle-/torchlight
And the wiz spells look amazing. Question is, who will roll any other class when every other skill we've seen so far is dwarfed by what the wiz showed off?
You actually can't say that it has to do with the petition as they have already stated that the game would be darker in other dungeons and would get darker in general as the game progressed.
I doubt the petition had anything to do with the darker graphics this time around, seriously. These are the ruins of Tristram -- it's meant to be dark. The previous location looked like someplace else. Obviously, there's gonna be some varied locations in the game for us to visit, and not all of them are gonna look dark and gloomy like Tristram.
I'm glad they did it justice. It felt like Diablo to me.
Where was the wizard class in D1 and D2? Oh wait...
I think some of you guys aren't taking in the fact that a spellcaster archtype was going to return. I think most people are angry because the name isn't some obscure complex name .

That's what I've been saying! The Elemental Evoker of Necromantic Conjuration just sounds retarded. Wizard covers everything.
Did you people not read the character page? The Wizard name was chosen very carefully apparently, there's a whole segment on how it's the uncouth magicians who use magic for they're own ends are not worthy to be called civilized sorcerers, instead they're branded Wizard.
Oh, and in the modestly cinematic class trailer... did anyone else notice the the skeleton king seemed almost exactly like King Leoric (you know, the giant skeleton king you killed) from Diablo 1?

Agree Completely... weak name, sweet character

I actually don't care what the color of the game is, I just don't like people giving credit to things that don't deserve it.

Great post.
I mean, she can fire her lazar! That is serious business.
