Nice, I wonder why they didn't add it before with the othes until now?
Probably a marketing strategy I suppose.

They probably had a deal with vendors who stocked up on the physical version. Or maybe they were trying to save on hosting costs while the game was hot.

I wonder if they will offer D3 for download at the release date. Maybe this is a trial to see if it would be a plausible idea.

Just wondering how does the download look like. Does it work the way you can download WOW, using that uber slow torrent-like thingy, or does it look differently? Anyone?

What site did you see that great picture on?

I don't get why this is recent news? I was able to buy and download D2 ever since blizzard store opened.

What's the deal ? The battle chest used to only cost 19.99 some years ago. Diablo 2 and the expansion separate were much cheaper than 19.99 each. I've never seen games released so many years later so expensive for their time released. Blizzard makes Millions off of wow, with a capital M, I don't see why they would be charging so much. The earnings off of additional sales is pocket change to them. Coins in the candy machine.

For those who like the picture. Just so you know, it was edited from this picture:

It never used to cost $19.99, you made that up. $39.99 or $29.99 on a discount at BestBuy/Target etc.

On polish ebay-like page you can buy new-sealed diablo II with lod for 20bucks...

/EDIT my bad... in the past it used to cost 20 american dollars for the game itself, no you can get, as the auction suggest, "never used cd keys" which include both diablo 2 and diablo 2 lod for 9 bucks, you can register them on the blizzard's page and download the game... it sounds like hell of a deal.

Anyone feel like starting up some characters? It would be nice to get a little group so we can play the game for what its worth rather than being forced into rushes / enchant...

I thought this was old news? Or was it only Diablo I that was available for purchase as a digital download before now?
