Diablo Tunes

Merely a day goes by without some news on DiabloIII from Blizzard, and it seems that not just the gaming industry is giving us treats - we have two new tunes pertaining to the francise to keep us busy while we wait for DiabloIII to be released.

The first one will be familiar to almost all of us, the new interpreted Tristram theme from The One Ups. Some of you may know them already from other works they have made, all focusing on different game's melodies, take a gander on their site to listen to their songs. Those who can't get enough can even download the "Tristram Live" straight from their MySpace as long as you have an account of said site.

The other song should also be familiar to anyone who has paid interest to Blizzard lately. The iTunes store has the "Diablo III Overture" in its selection now, which can also be heard on the gameplay trailer of the game. This is also a free download, to get it all you must have is a US iTunes Store account to download this.

Fans will definantley appreciate these pieces of art, so don't miss out on it, go check it out now!

    EDIT:

The song is certainly great, but aren't you afraid that it's too humm.. how to say it, "flashy"? That you will get quickly sick of it when you hear it thousand of times? What do you think about it?

I'm guessing by "flashy", you mean more epic (like so many other games use), and that it won't stand out as much compared to the music in the previous games? If that's the case, then I agree to some extent.
On the other hand, while I love Matt Uelmen's work, I think the more epic music in Diablo III suits the game. The original Diablo wasn't exactly epic, and had an intimate music score suitable to the game. Diablo II was a little more epic, and so was the music. And now, Diablo III is meant to be the conclusion of the story arch, and is more epic than the previous games. It's only logical that the music should follow the same pattern to the end. :]

Humm, no no, i meant sth different :) But what you wrote is right i suppose.

By "Flashy", i meant that your ears will hurt after listening to it too long ;) I will compare it to food. If you eat sth spicy or generally some intensive food, even if it was the greatest food in the world, you will hate to even look at it if you eat it everyday for some period of time ;)
But if the food has no intensive taste, like for example bread, or potatoes, then you can eat it almost everyday til you die ;) The same was with Matt's music. It wasn't too much intensive i would say. It was toned down. You could have listened to it for a long time and your ears didn't damage ;) And about this new music, i'm worried that it's going to happen the same as about the food i described... I hope not.

    cheerio
PS: i love Matt as well ;) Old Tristram was a masterpiece.

I like it but I hope some of the other music is a bit more reserved. Having that kind of epic orchestral sound for the whole game could get annoying.

Thanks for uploading this as it was not available if you lived outside the USA - unless you wanted to pay for it that is. Good work.
