This is a translation from german submited by Calyx and ov3erlord:
Their new article offers what can be interpreted as hints: One is a link to a YouTube video showing a real life soccer game. The YouTube video is titled: Ring of Fire. The second clue is an image of Wolfgang Petry (a German singer). To non-German folks this means really ... NADA (nothing).PC Action: For long time the rumor kitchen has simmered. There have been indications again and again, that in the next weeks or months, the successor to the brillant diablo 2 should be announced. Several Internet portals, such as Diablofans.com and n4g.com, report over alleged references to a Diablo 3-announcement at a Gaming site by the name of pcactio..., oh, f*ck! Those are we!
But something is missing here...
So they say, that the 11x11 Pixel Picture from yesterday would be an impression from the Diablo-Follow-Up. The Problem : We are not allowed to say something about it. Not deny, nor say that the rumors are true, or even say anything. Hmm, how many more days are there to our next issue?
What do you think? what can it be? -- View the Source.
Our DiabloFans.com folks however started connecting the puzzle pieces -- that is kinda a stretch about a stretch, but here we go:
According to niceguyeddie the soccer game video titled Ring of Fire, might refer to Diablo's ring of fire when you fight him. (Watch the YouTube video referenced by PC Action)
According to Gromir, on the other hand, the Wolfgang Petry image refers to a karaoke song which lyrics say: ""Wahn - sinn. Warum schickst du mich in die ..." The second part to the lyric which is not included in the image is: " HÖLLE HÖLLE HÖLLE!"
In English: "Insa - nity. Why do you sent me to... HELL, HELL, HELL!"

As reported this morning on the previous news, PC Action replied my email:
The bad news? The next PC Action issue comes out on June 19 (according to Gromir). It is hard to think they would talk about Diablo 3, before the Blizzard Worldwide Invitationals (June 29) ... and that is IF there is going to really be a game announcement ... and IF it is a Diablo game.PC Action: Unfortunately we are not allowed to talk about any details at the moment concerning this game
-- Lukasz Ciszewski
Ahh ... don't we hate and love and HATE teasers? Damn you, PC Action!
Note: Take in mind, PC Action might be teasing and messing (kidding) with Diablo fans, and that the game they refer to might be something entirely different from another company. Just a possibility.
UPDATE June 6: PC Action added a new small image showing fire. The image file is titled pic_d3_2.jpg --- These guys really want the teasing ball rolling. Either this game is Doom 4, Diablo 3, or a Hellgate: London expansion. There are other games recently announced such as Duke Nukem Forever (PC Action is currently showing screenshots of that game on another article today).
Discuss this post here
for years Blizzard has been posting for jobs and they all say
Blizzard Entertainment, the developer of Diablo and Diablo II, is looking for a lead 3D environment (notice for the makers of D1 and D2 not the Amazingly award winning WoW)
also for quite some time maby 6 months or more they have had under development an "unnamed MMO" labled top secret. so at WWI there will prob be a new MMO announced, to say its Diablo related would be a very good speculation since they keep looking for jobs for Blizz north(i think thats the one that made diablo) even if it does not get announced at WWI a diablo related game is some time gonna eb on its way.
also there always stating that they cannot make a 3rd diablo because the game basically ended in the expansion right.....if they make an MMO then they can make it like WoW because wow takes place through all of the warcraft its not a totally new story
also sorry for badd grammar and spelling ...im tired
EDIT: Also i remember reading a while back when Lich King was announced that they had Certain ammount of people working with WoW Stuff, another amount on Starcraft 2 stuff and another amount on UNamed top secret game(i forget the numbers)
"Everyone else, check your local stores on Tuesday, June 24, and look for this handsome devil staring back at you from the newsstand."

So a devil is going to be on the cover? It might not be Diablo, but with so many references to "hell," it's pretty obvious it is a game based in Hell.
look at the cover....thats whos staring back at you
40- Starcraft 2
200- WOW
40 -Team 3
Fixed.
Also, I don't think they have released how many people are on their next gen mmo team just yet... but who knows
Wow (no pun intended) they have 200 people working on World of Lamecraft? That's altogether right, not just Lich King.
Wouldn't it suck if its that dude that plays the Devil on that CW show "Reaper"
what do we all think to that?
I believe 200 total
Well...
Mats Nylund appears to be one of the writers/editors for http://community.superplay.se
It appears this is a convo with an unarmed Blizzard rep whom Mats used a bit of social engineering on to spill the beans...
I think for the time being this can be categorized as hearsay and is not refutable until investigated further perhaps by MD. Also, I cannot determine when this convo took place although it is dated May 5th 2008. Perhaps Mats himself can shed a little more light on this...
Yep. It was in Korea
Blizzcon: California. USA.
1. Pc Gamer claimed that it's going to be a game from a legendary developer.
Let's have a look at legendary game developers.
- Blizzard
- 3D Realms
- Valve
- Bioware
- Interplay Entertainment
- Id Software
2. The Pc Gamer Staff wanted to 'dance the pee-pee' dance. You don't have this kind of feeling unless something really exciting is coming up. IMO, it will be either be a continuation of a game that has left a mark on you even a few years later after playing it. One game comes to mind - Diablo 2 or some new game that will revolutionise the Pc Gaming industry and slap all competing game developers in the face.
3. Why would magazines such as PC Gamer / Pc Action claim :" We don't have the right to discuss it or deny it" ? Magazines generally do not have to ask permission from a game developer to publish news on an upcoming game.
Most probably they have been in contact with the game developer who has restricted them to publish any news.
4. It cannot be the next-gen MMO since Blizzard has already announced it publicly. You cannot restrict what has been already known by people.
5. The copyrighting actions of Blizzard to buy diablo3.com...
Were they asleep or something before 2008 ?
My predictions:
Diablo 3
Baldur's Gate 3
Doom 4
Could it be that Blizzard will be developing Baldur's Gate III ?
