Diablo 3 News Watch
The goal of this thread is to put the rapidly growing amount of news and rumors that are building up around Diablo 3 possibly being announced at the Blizzard Worldwide Invitational.
Re: Blizzard's Worldwide Invitational
Last year Blizzard announced Starcraft 2, this year many rumours are floating around that a Diablo 3 announcement is going to take place.
It would make sense to use this event to announce what millions of fans have been waiting for.
Also, i would like to point out that June 29th is the Diablo 2 release date anniversary. What a perfect day to announce the next Diablo.

More to come...
But one thing I heard in BlizzCast 2 that cheered me up is that Samwise Didier said that at Blizzard, they don't like to change the look of a villain or hero, and he said something like, "No one would change the appearance of Darth Vader, and we have the same feeling about that."
Those aren't his exact words, but I remember it was something along those lines. I think he was referring to Kerrigan
edit: Yeah, from what I remember, Diablo was more human like in the first one (Bipedal only) but in the second one he runs around more like an animal (Quadpedal?).
prolly but they will make a d3 no pay for bnet and a mmo of diablo just like they will make an mmo of starcraft
Same here.
Summer job?
The animator for the original Diablo was Ben Haas, who also created the 'hidden' movies, though he didn't work on Diablo II, which explains some of the difference.
