Blizzard Confirms New Product Next Month!
"It took a good day of calls and emails, but Blizzard just got back to us about the rumor floating around that Starcraft 2 will be announced next month during their World Wide Invitation in Seoul, South Korea.
According to a Korean website, StarCraft 2 is being developed in 3D with a new race and lots of changes for existing units. The site went on to say that additional details would be revealed during Blizzard's WWI on May 19th in Seoul.
When reached for comment today this was Blizzard's official response:
We do intend to announce a new product at the Worldwide Invitational next month in Korea, and we appreciate the enthusiasm and interest in getting an advance look at what that will be, but players will have to wait until May 19th to find out more. Also, we have a very strong connection with the characters and settings of StarCraft, and we do plan to revisit that universe at some point in the future, but we don't have anything new to announce in that regard at present.
So that's a yes on a StarCraft 2, eventually, and a yes to a product announcement next month. The only question now is are they one in the same. " -Brian Crecente, from Kotaku.
So what do you guys think? A lot of people still believe it's gonna be Starcraft (which would be fine too because, honestly, who wouldn't love to see that game revisited just as much as Diablo?) but after a statement like that, I'm thinking it's gonna either be an announcement for Diablo 3 or a completely new Blizzard title. If it's not a Diablo or Starcraft game, I'm putting my money on TacoCraft.
Alright, let the speculation begin! May 19th simply cannot come soon enough.

Depending on the original post, I'd have to say it's not Starcraft 2 (I don't care much about Starcraft or #2, if it comes out, great! If it doesn't, oh well)
I hope for Diablo III, but, depending on the circumstances, I'd think it'd be something with WoW or a new Blizzard product. Even though I would LOVE for it to be Diablo III and if asked would scream "GOD YES!" It just doesn't seem plausible. I think if it will be announced, it would be at Blizzcon, even though I would want it announced NOW and if it is being announced now then HALLEULJAH!
Announcement early May 19 or Late May 20?
Thanks
and another thing.. on the Blizzard site was the "?" Lit up yesterday, I didn't pay any attention to it, I don't remember
yes it was.
lmao

That would be so stupid...
Put it this way, why would blizzard chose Korea to announce Diablo 3?
To peace off angry Koreans? LOL
I want it to be diablo3 so much, but it will be SC2 for sure.
It's an internationally renowned game. It really wouldn't matter where they announced it.
yeah I was thinking about that
yeah
they wasted all the time on that stupid WoW
thinking that i've been playing WoW almost nonstop since April 2005 i dont think its a waste of time. Also Blizzard had alot income too. And time without people asking them too many questions about Diablo and Starcraft
I'm playing wow myself, but wow is starting to become really boring now
I just can't play it anymore
So i wish they will make a new RPG, diablo would be just great!
Of course they didn't waste time, they got a lot of money for their future products and that is good. But I wish they stop spend too much time on WoW now. Because its just becoming old
All Facts lead up to Starcraft Ghost.
Some facts lead up to Diablo 3, but the interview with Richard Knaak took place a bit ago when they were working on the development.
Blizzard was tired of teasing the community as well as the community being teased..
Hense the term, indefinitely be postponed.
Not indefinitely canceled.

I have hunter at 68 right now and I just can't play its so boring now.
I know its only 2 more levels to go till end-game, but it is so boring doing all these quests again and again...
I just want a new game from blizz, I'm sick of WoW.
I'm not saying that it sux thou, I have a special place in my heart for it, and as for all blizzard games btw.
Its all a matter of what grabs your interest. I have 4 lvl 70's and have ventured as far as stage events in Kara.
WoW is probably the most advanced game out there, but it just does not grab my true sense of style.
Its a fun game, just looking for something not so cartoonie. Something a little more evil!
That and when you gank someone in WoW, its just annoying, there is no true gain. No rewards or penalties for such acts, just makes for random slaying.
Not sure if any of you played Shadowbane but that game rocked.. Too bad it was extremely buggy. If that was remade on a better engine, I would have quit work and become a Shadowbane junkie..
sure i respect it, but i found the Outland regions extremely refreshing. And the level 70 instances (not to mention the heroics) are way better than those in the old world. I do hope we'll get a new Diablo soon too (thats why i'm here in the first place) but so far Warcraft helped me get over Diablo 2
now to NoExplanation:
about pvp i agree with you partially. If you're close to the enemy level you gain from killing him. Ganking is mostly the case in PvP servers, i'm playing on a PvE since i'm not interested in ganking or getting ganked, so i can be relaxed while leveling. The guild i'm in atm is done with Karazhan (2 instance groups/week), Gruul's Lair and Magtheridon. We started making progress in Serpentshine Cavern now (killed our first boss in there tonight) and will move on to Tempest Keep soon.
From my experience in there its the end-game that keeps the game alive. The quests, no matter how interesting stories they may tell are all or almost all made the same way.
nah, they're both "art" but made in completely different ways. And i sure want it to stay so!
*30 minute blizzard cutscene*
Hero: "Hello good sir, would you please stop torturing the local townsfolk so that we may live in peace."
Villian: "Why yes, since you asked so nicely I will do so."
*Hero and Villian hug*

Hell... I know some people who would still buy it. Blizzard cutscenes are awesome!
