Gamasutra reports that Frank Pearce of Blizzard Entertainment has just confirmed that the company is working hard on another new title... and it's not World of Warcraft or Starcraft II. 40 people are working on Starcraft II and 40 people are working on this secret Team 3 project, so it's definitely another big one. According to Pearce, "Team 3 is working on something really awesome. I can’t give you any hints, but it’s totally awesome."

With Blizzcon '07 coming up this August 3-4, people have high hopes that this mystery game will be unveiled.

I just wonder if it could be just another new World of Warcraft expansion. Or maybe even Starcraft:Ghost reimbursted. After all a CM on the blizzard forums stated "When our awesome new World War II first person shooter ships, you'll all be saying "aw why didn't I see that coming!"

Maybe that's a hint to a FPS game? Maybe that's a hint to Starcraft:Ghost?

I agree, if blizzard was smart, then there definitly will D3. Stacraft Ghost will be waved off till like 2010ish. WoW expansion of course, and Starcraft updates.
But trust me, I know how stupid Blizzard can be... I wouldn't be surprised if D3 didn't show.

It's possibly diablo 3 but I don't think it is guaranteed. Blizzard have referred to a new franchise in the works a number of times. If that's it then probably not Diablo 3 (maybe some Diablo MMO tho).

Well my only thoughts are to ask if it's not about Diablo [B]3[/B] then why would the group be called Team [B]3[/B]. Since he only talked about two groups working why use the number 3?

No quester, it will not happen WoW is already out... I highly doubt there will ever be a WC4 -.-

Think you ninnymuggens, the first team is on WoW, second is sc2, making third team and diablo three a coincidence. The options are starcraft 3 (utterly bogus). Warcraft 4 (utterly bogus, considering that would be two RTS's at the same time). Another WoW expansion (mostly bogus the article said in the clearest of terms it will not be another expansion). Diablo 3, (probable, not ALL of blizz north left to make flagship, some stayed at blizz.) New Franchise, (potential, though I wouldn't say likely considering the golden days of new game series for blizz ended with starcraft.)

The most likely choice is WoW 2, despite the comment in another article saying new game will not be about WoW. I can gaurentee it won't be World of Starcraft or Diablo. Blizzard isn't an idiot.

Why would they be doing WoW 2 now? WoW practically only just came out.  Its either Diablo or a completely new thing.  And if that guy says its awesome, and considering its coming from Blizzard we know it will be awesome, so don't worry. Whatever it is, it will be a great new thing to look forward to.

Yeh, Atru is right, WoW just game out why a number 2? I doubt there will ever be a number 2. They'll just keep updating WoW with expansions. Yep, Diablo or something new. "Next Gen-MMO" was also heard so... I'm guessing it's something new. Because they would probably make a Diablo 3 before a Diablo MMO, because we just loved the type of game Diablo 2 and 1 were.

Please, no one post anything about Warcraft for this (well, of course there will be talk about the expansion at Blizzcon but that isn't really the point right now.) We'll have to wait unitl Blizzcon to know... or even later.

This is awesome. I think that its diablo 3, i mean they ARE actually posting jobs of texture editors on the blizzard website behind diablo 1 and 2, and they said its not going to be another world of warcraft or starcraft... it might just be one of those lousy tricks to keep diablo fans waiting for the ultimate blow and then they release a brand new franchise... i sure hope it will be Diablo 3, its very likely, for once blizzard is actually working HARD!!! But lets not get too excited. :D TACOCRAFT, or perhaps a new Lost Vikings title for the Wii or something haha. ( doh' )
