After a couple months of wondering what happened with Blizzcon, Blizzard has finally announced the second Blizzard Convention!

BlizzCon is a celebration of the Warcraft, StarCraft, and Diablo franchises and the players who have helped make them so popular around the world. This year's event will take place at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, California on August 3 and 4, and will feature various activities for attendees to take part in.

This would be the perfect chance to finally announce their next game, which hopefully is Diablo 3.

haha imagine if they werent aware anyone wanted diablo, so they didnt release it, and kept it all for themselves

I thought Blizzard never used Blizzcon for anouncing new games... It's just a big party, with an expensive entrance.... And I also Thought the next game was going to be another MMORPG (not sure, but I've seen this written somewhere...), so, no Diablo 3, perhaps a World of Diablo, :P

To be completely honest, Diablo III and StarCraft II probably share the same amount of rumors, but StarCraft II rumors seem more legitimate and official.

dont hope too much. Theres not much of a chance for it. And if you believe it too much you might get dissappointed and angry. We wouldnt want that, would we? ^^

there's prolly going to be no announcement or a WoW expansion this time. I'd expect Diablo 3 next year. I hope i'm wrong but i dont believe it.

If you truly believe :D

Only even been one Blizzcon, and The Burning Crusade was announced there. Blizzard wants to shoot out one expansion very year. TBC was 2007, and Blizzcon is coming up. I think it's a fair bet to say that WoW's 2nd expansion is coming here.

Nope, there wer threee unannounced projects. Doesn't mean they'll all be announced in 07, only that they ar being worked on. Whether they are announced this year or not won't affect the development duration anyway, so the only thing an announcement would do is tell us when it comes out, not dictate when it is actually released.

well they did give us a major product announcement in 2007, if only they would make it even more major :)

well,...my guess is that they will announce someting at blizzcon. i think it might be another wow expansion, or diablo III. if this isnt the case,......it would probably be announced next year.
