Players have wished to see more than just five buffs at a time for some time now. Vaeflare hits the forums saying this is something they want to do, but in a way that works for Diablo

Ideally, we’d like to avoid situations where a portion of your screen is overwhelmed by buff icons (for example, just having your buffs stack across the bottom of your bar) and we’re experimenting with different ways to present that information in a format that works well for Diablo III.
No Nerf to Sever
Sever appeared on the "Known issues List" for Patch 1.0.5 which worried some players. However it seems it will not be changed.

Feedback and Bug Reports
It's not unusual for multiple threads about a given topic to all be active at the same time. In those situations, we will often reply to one thread and track it, and sometimes we'll follow-up in other threads with a link to our response. If we don't happen to reply to your thread (and instead reply to another thread that's very similar to yours), don't swear it. It's not a slight or anything like that; it's just not feasible for us to respond to every single thread that exists about a specific topic, so we try to consolidate whenever we can.
Also, just as a sort of general FYI, any posts that we track will appear in the "Latest Blizzard Posts" section in the main forum menu. Normally, we only try to track posts that address game-related questions or concerns, or ones that provide important new information. So, if there's a specific topic you're interested in, definitely take a look at our BlizzTracker, as we may have already responded to that topic in another thread.
That said, as many players have pointed out, your posts about buff icons were in the Bug Report forum, which is monitored and moderated by our Quality Assurance department. While we've done it in the past, it's extremely rare for us community managers to respond to posts in that forum. Usually, we'll address feedback about the game in one of our discussion forums (like General), since those are the forums under our purview.
In general, if you have feedback about the way something in Diablo III is designed, drop it one of our discussion forums. This can include everything from talking about why you don't like a certain feature, to how you'd like to see a mechanic improved, to suggesting new things to add to the game.
On the flip side, if you believe that feature or mechanic isn't behaving correctly according to how it was designed, then definitely place that in our Bug Report forum. Our QA reps may not always respond to every post, but they do catalog your reports and pass them on to our development team. (Blue Tracker / Official Forums)

I can see what you see not. Vision milky, then eyes rot.
When you turn, they will be gone. Whispering their hidden song.
Then you see what cannot be. Shadows move where light should be.
Out of darkness, out of mind. Cast down into the Halls of the Blind

When a monster is about to die from your last hit, the "Slain enemies rest in piece" affix makes that last hit a HUGE critical hit. When combined with a bit of lifesteal, killing one mob heals you to full.
It's a cool affix, but they shouldn't let lifesteal benefit from it.

Then what would it do? Other than show huge numbers on the screen, the affix would do absolutely nothing.

It would let the "slain enemies rest in piece". Afaik only useful for shamans that ressurect those little guys.
Let's be honest, most of the new procs on the high end items are purely cosmetical and don't really do anything significant. The proc of Sever combined with lifesteal is much more powerful then any of the other procs.
As it is now without MP, it's OP. I would assume with higher MP you would need better dps/survivability stats on your weapon to even stand a chance. If you can kill a trash mob on MP 10 and survive, chances are you do not really need Sever to fill your lifebulb.
Not nerfing Sever basically goes against a lot of things Blizzard usually says and does, as in 1 particular item/skill being much more effective then other similar items/skills.

I really love mine, and I'm happy it's not modified. It's a powerful weapon/effect, but I don't think it was deserving a nerf, as it's situational.

What does the 'Slain enemies rest in peace' affix do?
[/quote]
Probably prevents them from being resurrected.

As said above your comment, it's far more than this

Sever doesn't particularly have amazing stats compared to some other one-handed legendaries, it would be disappointing if the one thing it did (which it won't even do if you don't have lifesteal on that weapon or on another weapon in the other hand or for a barb with a lifesteal belt or killing blow with a particular skill?) got taken away.
