Freakin' amazing how you guys can remember your dreams in such detail. I can only remember like split second images from the whole scene. But anyways, i do still remember that ugly dream i used to have when i was a kid. Being chased by a 100-foot bipedal robotic bull on an endless terrain of wastelands. It went on just like that until i woke up. Just like counting sheep you know, with the only exception that it happened after i fell asleep. And I've posted this before too.

Otherwise i have frequent dreams of going to random places with random pals of mine all the time. I recently had a dream where i drove a giant SUV in reverse, over 200 km/h i guess, across a stretch of buildings and into a wall. And a few seconds later a friend of mine did the same but with my already rubbled SUV switching roles with the the wall this time. Never quite got the point of it. And I can never recognize the places either. But whats the point of sleeping if you have to focus so much even then, eh?

Actually if you damage your muscles you will get muscle damage and your muscles will NOT grow.

What you want is to rip tendons but that's different, and that causes regrowth.

But if you over-exercise you will just damage them.

Well, i was not talking about over exercise and also from what i know, when muscle cells get damaged during exercise they release these 'growth factors' (i don't remember particular names) that go about and make the surrounding myoblasts increase in number and fuse with the now damaged muscle cells. These myoblasts then donate their nuclei to the muscle cells or maybe they themselves become muscle cells. Whatever, the thing needed is more nuclei for the increased production of actin and myosin (proteins). But i am pretty sure this applies to the whole of the skeletal musculature. Over exercising will definitely harm the muscles though, damaged beyond repair.

I've never heard of such a thing. It might be possible though. I always thought you could only place and remove random items from the inventory but I've never heard of modifying the item specs.

Edit: And why change the item requirements? Just uber-up your player.

Simply put, hypertrophy refers to the increase in the size of a cell and not in its number. When the muscles are damaged during weightlifting, the body not only compensates for the loss but also gives some extra tissue material to the cell and hence it grows in size. Hence, repairing = building.

And for as much as i know whey proteins are absorbed relatively very easily by the body. So the bioavailability factor might actually back up the shakes.

yeah i remember green poop in my old times xD

I remember my sweat smelling like shit. I'm pretty sure it was because of the shakes. It doesn't happen anymore though. I guess its just necessary to work out according to your protein intake. Taking high amounts of protein with light weight lifts and less reps might not work as you imagine.

But whatever, haven't we all been through the same? :xD:

Yes. Over intake of protein is highly dangerous, that's true. And no person undertaking muscle building is ever advised to replace any part of his/her daily diet with protein shakes. They are just meant to be a source of the extra protein that is sometimes needed to get you over the boundary line between an average and a high build. But as protein shakes contain fewer calories, it would be convenient for people who are looking for weight loss as well to replace the protein part of their daily diet with these shakes for a set period of time.

Overall, protein shakes are a matter of choice. There is not actually as much to them as they claim on the pack. Without the right diet and the right routines, you would be advised to actually reduce the intake of protein shakes. And then a high water intake is also compulsory for people taking high amount of proteins as it helps in absorbing the extra protein content.

There can be contradictions. Like your daily diet program might not meet the exact requirement of protein your body needs for muscle building. Or sometimes diets high in proteins might also be high in fat content. People might take to shakes for those reasons as they help both in muscle building and toning.
