I'm trying to make something cool for my brother for xmas, and I thought I could. It turns out I'm actually terrible with art.
What I'm trying to do is take a picture of Deckard Cain from D2 (in-game model), make it larger (and clean it up if necessary so that it would look good as, say, the size of a food plate), and remove any background colors that might have come along with it so it would just be like a decal.
I'd also want some text along with it, I guess as separate images (without background again preferably).

These are what e.g. I have so far. I'd like to make them separate images (5 total?) with no background, but with the background is OK if that would be too much work. They need to be large (e.g. 1000x1000 pixels) and appear non-pixelated in the bad way. (But in the sense that D2 is an old game with pixelated graphics, that's OK! I just want it "blown up" to a larger size without losing anything).
Is this too much to ask? Let me know if there is anything else I can provide to try to do this...
