Sep 10, 2014Longtime shotgunner who recently switched to stampede. The CC and ranged potential from stampede makes it better in high GR. For T6 and lower GR its a toss up or maybe even shotgun coming out ahead. Just look a the non season leaderboard, stampede is at the top.Posted in: Crusader: The Church of Zakarum
Aug 14, 2014montanx posted a message on 1-2 hours and we have our FIRST world paragon 1000Guys, your missing the point. Its not about the feat itself, its about reaching a goal that he set his mind to accomplishing. Im sure Gabynator is not going around claiming he is the worlds greatest diablo player. He knows the feat itself is not some huge testament to skill. But he set a goal for himself and stuck to it and accomplished it, no matter how trivial the task, thats impressive. How many books or video games or tasks have you started just to abandon them halfway? Iv had tons, im bad at setting goals and meeting them. But this guy just decided one day, hey you know what, im gonna do this. It took tons of time and game effort to do this. Its an impressive feat in gaming when you do anything that a korean kid didnt do first.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
So again guys, it is impressive. Not because of the feat itself, but because of the resolve and fortitude it took to set a goal like this and stick to it til the end.
Jul 7, 2014Even if furnace did 1% dmg it would still eventually be the only viable weapon since that would be higher dmg than any other weap. The answer is simply to redo and get rid of the %, it just doesnt work when hp keeps scaling like it does.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion

Jun 27, 2014I played ptr just to try out the greater rifts. Now that iv done that im done with the ptr. Ill let the forums tell me about the new builds and items, Id rather grind keywardens to make my hellfire ammys in live and get Plvls.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion

I dont know that. I think firestarter is ok and the darklight build lacks survivability so its not unfair. But it def could get nerfed, its rather strong.Quote from heerobyaI agree with Kapsu completely.
I finally got my 5th piece of Akkhan's - and it's fun to melt face, but it is kind of boring - especially since we all know Firestarter will get nerfed...
Jun 13, 2014montanx posted a message on My 1st Gyrfalcon's Foote enchant for Blessed Shield BuildDrop cdr for socket, you dont need perma AC for BS build, you need as much dmg as you can get, use cain, augh and blackthorn sets. Its a shame the 6 isnt higher, thats a great avg dmg roll and this would be insane with a 10% roll. Still good tho.Posted in: Crusader: The Church of Zakarum
Jun 13, 2014Holy is the way to go.Posted in: Crusader: The Church of Zakarum
I have done extensive Blessed shield testing with both combust and shattering. I used combust with all the best fire gear for a good while. That means magefist, cinder, andys, fire ammy, bracer and soj. I liked it alot, it felt very strong and I started comparing it vs shattering. In the end, I decided shattering was the way to go despite the increased fire dmg on gear. The reason for this is the distance the shatter bounces travel, the rate at wich they proc firestarter because of this and the increased single target dmg due to bounces off surrounding mobs hitting the initial target. Combust bounces can only hit one target each. Trust when I say this was a hard decision as I loved my combust build.
Another thing I want to say is that the akahn set is not optimal for the BS build. Aughild, cain and blackthorn sets are the way to go, with AC firestarter also being used but as an elite/boss helper when available. The set bonuses with AC sometimes, beats having no bonuses with AC up ALL the time. I know its tempting to use akahn set, but the sacrifices you make to get the cooldown on AC are not worth it with the shields wich require as much optimization as possible to get the dmg to where it needs to be. You cant waste valuable atk speed and set bonuses for the cdr required, trust me on this. Holy and BS dmg with trifecta everything and the 3 sets are the way to go.
I love BS but ill be the first to say its optimal through T4 and starts to be less impactful in T5 groups. Still a ton of fun in T4 and is the best build you can make while collecting akahn pieces with good rolls for darklight or shotgun builds.

Gear- Roll helmets from kadala til u get mask of jeram, this is the most important piece. Your next goal is tasker and theo but don't hold your breath, they are super rare, but try anyway when you can. Apart from that just use aughikd/blackthorns set like a wizard would And your best stuff everywhere else. A Thing of the deep ( the weird frog mojo) is good cuz the pickup radius helps your injustice passive. Better yet, join a witch doctor community in game and inspect profiles of the people you see in chat. Once you have the mask you can do T3 and T4 once u have decent everywhere else. Stack phys elemental Dmg on ammy/bracer/soj.Quote from Ownz0r
Skills- go to diablo forums and inspect people. But for simplicity sake you want Toads/pirahnado/dogs/gargantuan/bigbadvoodoo/spirit walk. Passives are pierce veil/grave injustice/fetish sycophants/anything you want.
playing- toads produces fetishes the fastest. Spam it til u get an army, summon dogs etc. cast big voodoo on elites, pirahnado on groups for cc. That's pretty much it.
thats really it in a nutshell. What are you waiting for? Go rift it forward to get keys to spam for that mask of jeram! (Not the strange green one, the regular one.)
May 26, 2014montanx posted a message on 1500 Free Blood Shards/Hr - RIF Community Optimization (Video)Lots of fail in this thread, I'm not sure everyone understands the point of the rift it forward community. The point isn't getting shards while paying no keys for it as if you have come up or scammed the system. The point is simply to get a fast boss kill and shards, that's it, you go in ASSUMING you will have to pay and if you do it's no big deal. There's no "strategy" like only joining low or mid or high, if I get in a game and get my kill and shards, pay or not it's a success. Rift keys are not some rare commodity athat are prized and valuable, you can get tons of keys in an hour of split bounty farming. So these vids showing ways to "optimize" rift it forward are really not optimizing anything since the goal isn't to get free shards, it's just to get fast shards. I simply send a request to every game that pops up, I don't care if I have to open or not, most of the time I dont open but sometimes I do and I could really care less.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
Lol the funniest are the people who say a 3 man group posting "last one in pays" is some kind of scam. It's completely not and it's the EXACT same thing as saying "1 spot, you open.". Either way your group gets a rift opened for them and the joiner gets a kill and shards fast, win win. its not like people avoid "you open" games, they fill in 1 second just as fast as any other. There's no trickery or clever manipulation. Pay or not, you simply get a boss kill and shards quickly, that's it, period, end of story.
Thisis nothing against the OP, he can play how he wants. It's more for certain replays in the thread. if saving his precious rift keys are the goal, have a ball, no one will care or feel cheated as long as SOMEONE opens the rift.
May 24, 2014There's just not going to be pvp in this game. Look, we all saw the cool arena style plan they had a few years ago in beta, the YouTube vids are still there. We all saw what could have been. They just knew that arpgs aren't fit for pvp and never have been. The reason you think D2 had good pvp is cuz the world of ganking was fresh and exhilirating. There were no pvp systems in that game, just griefing and killing. Yes it was a rush, but there was no balanced system in place like delusional people pretend there was. You can't balance this game for pvp and that's just that. Now, do I think they could have finished their arena style like in the vids and released it despite being a crap show? Yes, sure, that would have been cool, but make no mistake there would be twice the whining and crying over that as there is from no pvp at all (besides brawling).Posted in: PvP Discussion
