    2) Make a kind of rift like a defense where you and your friends need to defend something (random examples: Cain's Soul from reapers , a gate from monsters , an angel from demons etc), monsters that come in either endless waves , or during a specific time (30 mins , 1h , 2h ) , rewards varying from a spot on a ladder (ex: Clan x - 1st place - time survived 45 mins ) , to completing those 30 mins , 1h ,2h rifts with loot.
Great idea tbh, kind of dungeon defender. Diablo needs similar systems.
no it doesnt , it needs to be better than what it is now , that system has no place in diablo. i wanna play diablo where is kill hordes on monsters and get some badass gear , not dungeon defenders 2.0 or w/e
No one here said that it should be instead what is now. Just another mode, if you don't like, you don't play it.

    Yep , that's the plan. A versatile game :)

Hi, i've seen this article and thought that it would be interesting to share some of my thoughts :)
First of all i agree with dimming the legendary drops as the game becomes terribly boring after a week (even for the viewers) , not to mention to actual players , after they have grinded all the gear they need in such a short amount of time.
Second, for end game i suggest things like:

    1) daily/weekly/monthly/yearly rifts ( i know it's like POE , but why not use it if it works? ), and here i agree with previous posters , make the rift endless and make the monsters scale in damage and hp as the players go further and further (this is where a ladder could be implemented). Pro players would love it , and casuals could still participate in the shorter versions of the rifts.

    3) This 3rd idea is stolen from Blizzards latest title, Hearthstone, for Hardcore mode . Now here i have 2 separate ideas:

    a) Pick a newly created character , before you start fighting you get to choose from pieces of gear for every slot. The pieces are unidentified and you get to choose from 3 of every slot ( just like cards in arena in Hearthstone). After you finished your draft , you pick up the gear , identify it and start the rift. In the rift itself you will not get loot upgrades(this is the plan , survive with what you've got). The run is over when you die ( you get no second chance in hardcore mode).
-> Rewards are gold , and crafting materials for hardcore characters.
b ) You pick a newly created character , enter the rift , and you are granted just the bare minimum to begin , weapon, shield/source/mojo and a few healing pots , and start clearing the rift. You can get upgrades in this type of rift and it's much more fun. As before , the rift is over when you're dead.

These are some ideas that i would love to see implemented in my favorite hack and slash game :)
Hope someone from "above" reads this and give it a thought . :)
