Then unless I'm missing something, it seems like there's no way to quickly see what news posts have been updated with new comments. I used to use the News & Announcements forum for that.
Anyway, thanks for the answers.

sorry but where more teasing? What i see is typical blizz "will be done, when we will be ready" no eta, no promises of anything.
But hang in there, because the weeks and months ahead are going to be awesome.
Implies some big announcements/reveals sometime between now and 2.0.
Well, ya. Because they haven't announced it yet.

Realistically, though, RoS would have been the perfect time to reintroduce the class. I just don't see it happening now. Would love to be proven wrong.Posted in: News

So to be sure, you are ok with barbarians materializing hundred of pounds of matter above the ground? (Y/N)Quote from knightofthorns
And I think you fail to understand that the characters in Diablo 3 are not ordinary humans. They are nephalem, a race more powerful than the angels and demons; and we don't know the limits of their power. So you can't argue what the barbarian in Diablo 3 can't do, because you have no basis for that argument.
Does the concept of classe archetypes ring any bells?
Am I actually arguing with actual people about this? This is surreal.
If you are arguing that the skill just doesn't feel "barbarian-ish" enough, then we can't really argue since that's an entirely subjective viewpoint. You could say the same thing for Ancient Spear since it's a ranged attack, or Call of the Ancients since a it's a summoning skill. IMO, the barbarian has a heavy, earthy feel to him, so it's not entirely out of the scope of his skillset. No, it doesn't make it any logical sense that the projectiles are materializing from nowhere. Half of the skills in this game, or more, don't make any logical sense.
We're not talking logical, b/c that's pointless. We're talking aesthetically, and I have to agree, Avalanche seems too much like a wizard spell. Spear and Weapon Throw, while "magical" still invoke a martial, melee weapon wielding aesthetic. It still "feels" barbaric. Summoning Ancients is borderline, but still, the Ancients do mostly melee damage, or throw martial weapons. Avalanche is different. It's pure elemental spellcasting. It's the perfect Druid spell (and yeah, Druids and Barbs are related, but there was that schism for a reason).
But again, even if you're talking purely aesthetics, then it's entirely subjective. It's one thing to say that you don't like something. It's another thing to express disbelief that some people don't agree with your completely subjective opinion, as brx did.
And I agree that Avalanche would be better as a druid spell than a barbarian. Too bad this game doesn't have a druid. -

You know, that situation where clearly the game is going downhill and nothing Blizzard does will ever be good enough and anyone who defends them or their decisions or even so much as says that they kind of sort of like the game is just an ignorant fanboy and doesn't understand why everything Blizzard has done since this game was announced is completely moronic.
That situation. -

Thanks. Sorry to bother you again, but there's only one matter left: matter of sigils and/or patterns, which are rewarded for many difficulty-related achievements. Will these be still obtainable? If not, then players who have them, should lose them upon installing "Reaper of Souls" for this thing to be fair among the rest of players (who also upgraded D3 to RoS level).
I would send you a private message to stop whining in this topic, but I can't with only 4 posts :/
That's a good point, and I honestly have no idea. Might be a good question for the official forums. -

Here's a list though:

Thanks for fast response. So does it mean that I would lose my achievement points from acquiring the old difficulty-related achievements? :/ It seems quite unfair and pointless. Also I hope that the rest of achievements will remain intact, right?
Umm... sorry for being so uninformed but... what are the feats of strength exactly?
Feats of Strength are achievements that are unfair or impossible to get, either because of luck, timing issues, or in this case because the part of the game involved no longer exists. They do not count toward your achievement points, so yes you will lose the points. However, the maximum points will also go down accordingly, and it's not like achievement points actually do anything for you.
As far as I'm aware, the difficulties are the only achievement-related feature that are being removed, so I don't think any other achievements will be going away. -

Wait.... whaaaat?
OK, so I'm already playing "Starter Edition" only. Let's assume that I'll buy "Diablo III" and "Reaper of Souls" at the same time. Then upgrade the game to the full version. Then upgrade the game to "Reaper of Souls" level. OK, so how I'm supposed to get all the Nightmare, Hell and Inferno related achievements, if classic difficulties are gone?!
Achievements related specifically to the current difficulty modes will become feats of strength. They won't be in the standard list and won't count toward your achievement total anymore.
Also, nice avatar -

Basically, until 25th, your time is best spent farming gold and paragon xp or leveling alts.
