Thank you, the mempo helped me finally reach the 88% mitigation I have been striving for (at 88.25% atm), which is just enough to feel pretty comfortable in MP10.Quote from Tensor
Ofc you've seen me on Mumble. I do hop in from time to time. Although I don't make a sound.
And gratz on winning the Mempo. I hear you won the contest.

imo, nat helm + ring is only worth it if you have the following:Posted in: Wizard: The Ancient Repositories
Nice Int trifecta ammy with LoH OR AR
Zuni boots with 70+AR and armor or double vit and tri-pox.
You also need an apoc source for a nat's helm, and those are expensive. You will also need ias on bracers to reach 2.73, so you are stuck with lacuni's.
Nat's helm is the hardest to gear to work correctly, and to make it competitive with mempo, maybe even more expensive. Storm crow is the easiest/cheapest, and you can find nicer EHP chant forces for the price compared to apoc forces.
I still think for chant users, mempo with apoc source is the ideal way to go, along with a nat's boot + ring combo. It's probably the easiest way to reach 89% mitigation, and the reduced damage from melee from nat's boots is very nice. It's also easier for me to maintain 2.73 since the helm has ias on it. That way I don't necessarily need IAS in the bracer or ammy slot.
I still choose to use lacuni's atm because I have no usuable trifecta ammy (just a couple of trash ones I crafted), and having 24% movespeed is nice.
EDIT: However, that being said about the Mempo, I truly believe that storm crow is the true endgame helm for CM wiz, because then you can use lifesteal swords or daggers and still get enough apoc with the source and crow helm. Going the 300k dps dagger/sword route also lets you relax on defenses a little bit (still need 87-88%) and stack HP instead.

You won't be able to hit MP10 with only 100M of upgrades. Your all resist is too low, your armor is too low. You need at least 800AR and 4000 armor to deal with MP10. To be honest, your mitigation isn't even MP9 capable. Your DPS is fine for MP9, but there are probably lots of things that 1 shot you right now. You need more life on hit, you only have around 570 loh atm, 800 is pretty much the minimum required. I would switch your depth diggers with some BT pants with allres and armor. You also need allres on your WH, 70+ on the tal's chest with either double vit or armor.Posted in: Wizard: The Ancient Repositories
Looking at a d3up of your profile: http://d3up.com/b/1087634
You only have 82.8% mitigation and 200k ehp. That is some of the lowest I have ever seen. To be comfortable in MP9, you should be closer to 87% minimum.
Being honest, reaching MP10 with proper mitigation will cost you 1-2 billion minimum, with most of your gear needing to be replaced. The only thing on your character I would keep for MP10 is the storm crow, since it's decent enough.

Congrats man. I'm also working my way towards paragon 100. I think I might've seen you in mumble a couple times, but haven't had the pleasure of running with you yet.Posted in: Wizard: The Ancient Repositories

Nat ring + boots is the best combo, imo. Crit chance is king on CM, and nothing will get you more then the nat boots + ring combo.Posted in: Wizard: The Ancient Repositories

Hi Guys,Posted in: Wizard: The Ancient Repositories
I am pretty new to D3, just started playing a couple months ago. I just recently reached level 60 and inferno mode. I did a little bit of research about what gear was good, and the stats, then bought within my budget. I wanted to do a CMWW build, but I think I am too poor for that atm.
Here is my character at the moment.
I would like some suggestions of a viable build that I can run with my current gear doing MP1 or MP2 in inferno, and beating the game while killing packs quickly most of the time.
Also, I would like some tips on what to upgrade first in order to reach good stats for a typical CMWW build. Also, is there an estimate of how much gold I would need in order to buy this stuff?
Thanks in advance!

Thanks, this guide is pretty helpful. I just geared my new 60 wizard with gear that I could afford with the little gold I had.Posted in: Wizard: The Ancient Repositories
