Couldn't that model just be from the Legendary item that the one Blizzard employee was talking about earlier?
"There will also be some items that exist just because they are cool. For example The Cow King's Halberd is one that I made just because I wanted to make something that captured a really cool element from D2. It deal's lightning damage (and yes elemental damage types have effects associated with them now) because it's a nod to the Cow King himself and also has a chance to summon a herd of murderous cows to fight with you. That effect isn't really changing any gameplay... but cmon it's just awesome!"
That was exactly what I was about to type, lol

It is correct that Baal once watched over the Hellforge, according to the Diablo Wiki at least:
"Baal presided over the Realm of Destruction, at the heart of which lies the Hellforge. This realm was the site of some of the most impregnable and well-fortified fortresses of all the Burning Hells, as well as birthplace of the most fearsome weapons available to demonkind."
http://diablo.wikia.com/wiki/Baal
What struck me as odd was the in-game note said "controls." This sort of hints that he may still be around somewhere
I hope we see Baal and Meph again, at some point.

In the console version there is a small chance for a health globe to turn into a "Nephalem Globe" and provide you with a buff. When I first read about this I thought it would just be some 2 minute stat boost ala shrines.
What they really do is give you this buff:
Nephalem Glory- "You move faster and unleash terrible blasts of energy on your enemies. Health and power globes will magnify the intensity of this effect and extend the duration."
Now THATS a cool buff. It encourages you to stay in combat and kill things as fast as you can. I really like this and hope it makes it to the pc version.
On an unrelated note, the console version has a lot of new notes during the loading screens that the PC doesn't have. One of them said something like "Baal, The Lord of Destruction controls the Hellforge."
Control(s)? Teaser? Maybe... What do you guys think?

Here are mine:
1. New Followers and or followers in multiplayer. D2 had it (i know that's not a good reason lol). I like the extra banter that they bring. I like the idea of customizing them as you play. I don't like having to play alone to use them. They really aren't that game breaking that they wouldn't work in multiplayer.
2. PVP. If no new maps or game modes are possible, at least give brawling a little more incentive. Have players drop ears. Allow us to place bets. Have players drop a crafting reagent (nephalem essence)
3. Dark music to match the darker color scheme. Bring back Matt Uelmen. The ambient music he made in d1 and d2 hade a huge effect on the feel of the game.
Overall, I'm really excited for ROS. There are a lot of really cool changes coming.

Alas, I guess info about console pre-order items is better than nothing.
What do you guys think about Diablo's showing at E3? Excited? Disapointed?

It could still use a little bit of work to bring it in line with the other acts, however. Act 4 is difficult, more difficult than the other acts at least. In my experience it feels about 1 mp level higher than what you would expect. Because of this increased difficulty, the devs found it difficult to pack as many elites and monsters in as the other acts. It is still too difficult to get 5 stacks in this act and the act is too short for long farming runs.
Solution: Make small alterations to the existing content. Everyone has seen the "ghosts" in Silver Spire level 1 and 2 (ghost of Cain, Leah, Magda, etc.) They are often skipped, however, because they provide no benefit. Buff these encounters, encourage players to click on them, reward us with NV stacks. If these ghosts gave Nv stacks, players could more effectively farm the newly buffed KW.
A fast act 4 random key run sounds like great fun to me! Make these ghosts live up to their names and provide NV. With names like "Disciple of Mephisto" - shouldn't the fights be a little more interesting?
