Couldn't that model just be from the Legendary item that the one Blizzard employee was talking about earlier?
"There will also be some items that exist just because they are cool. For example The Cow King's Halberd is one that I made just because I wanted to make something that captured a really cool element from D2. It deal's lightning damage (and yes elemental damage types have effects associated with them now) because it's a nod to the Cow King himself and also has a chance to summon a herd of murderous cows to fight with you. That effect isn't really changing any gameplay... but cmon it's just awesome!"
That was exactly what I was about to type, lol

"Some scholars believe that this foul blade of twisted bone was created upon the Hellforge by The Lord of Hatred himself, using his own bones to create the hilt. The hilt is said to absorb the blood of its victims and grant the wielder eternal life." Every time you kill or assist in killing an elite you gain a charge.
When you use a health potion the charges are released. This effect of these charges is increased by your health potion bonus healing.
Passive effect:
1 Charge 200 life per second
2 Charges 400 life per second
3 Charges 600 life per second
4 Charges 800 Life per second
5 Charges 1000 life per second
Active:
The charges are released, seeking out 5 nearby enemies and draining their health. The charges deal 150% weapon damage and return 10% of the total damage dealt as health. edit: Spelling, added link

I do, very much so. I've played since the first game and have high hopes for ROS.

The legendary drop rate is buffed significantly to make up for the lack of an AH. I'm fairly certain that loot 2.0 will follow this trend. Additionally, you get a guaranteed legendary drop the first time you kill a boss.
