Oct 11, 2014Don't make the game any easier , please. You can get any build you want to work in 2 weeks, playing casually, isn't that enough? Of course it takes a while to make it perfect and you can be unlucky with an item, but that's what Kadala is for and she is buffed as hell. And you get more specific items than anything else, for example if you are a monk and gamble on helms you will get many spirit stones so what's the problem?Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
May 11, 2014I would want str, crit chance, crit dmg and 20% elem dmg on an amulet. Now if you don't have a better one than this, I would go for crit dmg instead of ias or all rez on a crus and on a barb, considering you have 2 weapons with emeralds, you can go for 20% elem dmg.Posted in: Barbarian: Bastion's Keep
Aug 2, 2013First of all soj gives fury which means more cc for hota. Second of all hota costs 20 fury and vs 1 unit, even if you always crit, you get 15fury back from battle rage. So without reduce cost by 5 fury from soj, you always lose 5 fury when hitting 1 unit with hota.Posted in: Barbarian: Bastion's Keep

Feb 2, 2015I have tested this, well I was not exactly curious about that second wave but I was curious about overall damage, single and aoePosted in: Monk: The Inner Sanctuary
Since t6 solo is not good for testing I used 4 players party where 3 players were in town, so I went to kill leoric and ghom, and clear maps until I reach them.
What I saw with cold WoL, it is tricky, you need to position yourself well so your second wave hits group, and what I could see all mobs got some gmd but I dont think it was equal, it might be spread, but trash fell quick. Then I killed leoric for 29 sec, and ghom for 22 sec. I used SoJ with 20% cold, 6%cc and socket, 20%cold bracers, 6% cc and amulet 19% cold, 2x crit + socket
After that, I put back lightning gear and spells, the same, lightning SoJ with cc + socket, lightning bracers and light + 2x crit + socket amulet
I killed ghom in 13 sec and leoiric in 17 sec
This also reflects to elites and trash and similar is with fire WoL
I guess it is no brainer

Amen to that.
We should stop trying to explain and make people see our point of view, because it's the internet and we would only waste our time.
Raekor change will :
1. Remove the broken mechanic of dragging the entire instance along with you
2. Offer you a bazzillion more single target dps
3. increase the burst damage, and will get you time to implement a different atack in the builds
I would say this is good...since the only downside is you won't be able to exploit the game mechanics , other than that it's a freaking ultra buff.

If every 10 seconds you can cast your own bombardment while also having only 1 second of downtime from the belt, the real question remains; Just what Proof07 (OP) is asking, Can you cast your own bomb while the belt bomb is up? Do they all stack if they hit the same target or do they automatically target different mobs? What if there is only 1 mob? Do you get 20 bombs on 1 mob in 5 seconds? If that's the case then i would seriously reconsider your claims, with all due respect
I mean, theoritically this could get up to 11400% weapon dmg in total of 6 seconds or 1900% weapon dmg every second for 6 seconds when your bomb and the belt bomb overlap but only if it's just one mob like a non summoning RG or a tightly packed elite pack controled by a WD because 12 yards is not that much. It's a decent radius but still, not much.
What really sounds awesome to me in theory is the 100% crit chance. Let's say you have 400% chd which is not uncommon - Even 500% with critical law is possible... The damage numbers you will get in that 5 sec overlap could be crazy.
Obviously in practice there could be many things that will keep this build from succeeding but just imagine using the final witness which pretty much allows you to lockdown almost everything and giving you the damage boost from divine verdict. All that is left for you to do is avoid some elite affixes and recast bombardment + law + iron skin or whatever.
Something like this http://us.battle.net/d3/en/calculator/crusader#YXRfQO!afdg!aZbbaZ with a HF amulet so you can also get towering shield / finery. Obviously akkarat with prophet and instead of judgement just steed or whatever. (running around with full wrath...yay...)
Nov 30, 2014The belt will most likely use your selected rune and will most likely be affected by the Mortal drama.Posted in: Crusader: The Church of Zakarum
I've had some discussion about this with some friends a while ago and i reached a conclusion that the best rune to use would probably be the "Annihilate" rune which gives your bombardment 100% crit chance. It would then allow you to totally give up on crit chance on gear, go for full cdr and extra toughness.
Jsut as a rough calculation, using the cdr calc tool, you can basically get to 9.37 seconds of downtime (after the duration of 5 sec) on bombardment with perfect cdr on all gear slots + lord commander passive + paragon.
Without using Mortal drama:
2850% weapon damage in 5 seconds (570% every sec) with 100% chance to crit. Add in critical law for 100% crit dmg. Should be decent damage. I could even see this working in high GR groups if the damage will be high enough because your cdr and possibly toughness will be already very high and there's no absolute shield requirement so you can go for the Final witness. Could finally be some sort of a hybrid support + dps crusader for GR (probably not )
Other options (probably not in GR) are obviously Hellskull for more damage or just go for a hybrid of condemn with vacuum + bombardment for T6 with the s1 shield.
Mortal drama makes it so every second two bombs come down instead of one, effectively doubling your damage. This means you will be dealing 5700% weapon damage in 5 seconds (1140% dmg every sec) with 100% crit chance.
On the other hand, since the donwtime on bombardment with a perfect 6 sec belt is just 1 second, you could totally give up on cdr and just focus on other stats. Just have that bomb + rune on your skill bar for the belt to use, like leapquake with cold or something. So it means that you are dealing 5700% damage over a course of 6 seconds which is 950% weapon damage every second with 100% crit chance.
**Note that this is speculation without any testing since i can't get in game atm.
**Sorry for editing 100 times, i was re thinking this as i posted and made many mistakes along the way.
Nov 29, 2014not finding the belt you are referencing. Link?Posted in: Crusader: The Church of Zakarum
Edit: Found it.
"Belt of the Trove
- New Legendary Belt
- Every 6-8 seconds, Bombardment is cast on a random nearby enemy"
Nov 14, 2014Hi everyone, today I want to give you guys my thoughts on why (a game like) Diablo 3 becomes boring. As someone who's played video games for over 20 years now, I've been noticing a trend for replay value. A game must excel at either competition or consistent progression and must continuously bring at least some money to the company in order for proper development team allocation.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
In this video I discuss both of these concepts including some outlier examples like League of Legends, Counter-Strike, and WoW, where D3 is lacking, and some fixes now that it finally has a good core - micro transactions, PvPvM team racing, standardized grifting, and seasons worth playing. Enjoy!
Oct 15, 2014CHD and CC is 'must have' on amulet.Posted in: Monk: The Inner Sanctuary
I like Blackthorne set. Put boots and amulet which gives me +250 vit and +/-10% vs elites and becouse that extra +250 vit i rolled vitality on gloves into chd/cc/as. Also u may want +7% dmg recuction from melee attacks on your amulet and + 160 restistance.
Check my profile if u want.
Oct 15, 2014You want CHD on an amulet. Always. Never is an amulet acceptable without CHD, not even for a level 50 Taeguk.Posted in: Monk: The Inner Sanctuary
Amulet stat priority for damage is always 1) CHD and on a tied 2) socket, CHC, elemental damage, followed by main stat as 5). The reason why I say "tied 2nd place" is because it depends a bit on the other stats on your character which stat is best - use Diabloprogress or any spreadsheet to figure it out for your own character. Note that dexterity is only the fifth best stat - for almost any class and spec - but is usually still found on most amulets because 1) it also provides survivability and 2) it is a default roll on most amulets, making it almost impossible to get a perfect one without dexterity. For a SWK monk you don't want one without dexterity because of the survivability, but for example for DHs the best amulet is CHD, CHC, elemental damage, socket.
Note one particular thing about the Taeguk for monks: Third gem is optional anyways as Taeguk is an awesome gem on paper, but incredibly difficult to keep up (bad density/bad affixes that require a ~3s break and it's gone). But if you're hunting for very high GRs you need luck with density and affixes anyways, so if you want to go full RNG then go Taeguk for all means, but it means that there will be a lot of rifts where you would be better off with a different stat or gem.
@Topic: My best results so far were with full BT set bonus (amulet, boots, pants) and SWK helmet. Probably not "optimal" but just best for me so far. But still experimenting.
