Yeah, I see what you mean. We usually play at MP 7 or MP 8, either farming keys or doing überbosses, so getting the hits in isn't really a problem. Might meteor then be considered a good spell because I can cast it at range and have it proc Conflagration? Pity about the delay before it hits, though...Posted in: Wizard: The Ancient Repositories

Posted in: Wizard: The Ancient RepositoriesQuote from BagstoneWell I think 20% for you compared to 10% for the team is not that bad, if you're not playing in a full group but only with one mate who has similar DPS to yours you might as well take Cold Blooded. Keep in mind that Conflagration requires you to hit the mob, let it get the debuff, and then within the next 3 seconds your mates need to kill it. Sure, everything's happening quite fast in D3 so the 3 seconds might not be an issue, but are you sure that your DPS is always equally split in your group among all group members and you're the first to hit a mob?
The idea is to more or less hit with Spectral Blades all the time, except to throw the odd Meteor in the mix. Wouldn't that keep Conflagration up indefinitely? (I usually play in a group with three friends, btw.) And I guess that you're right about 20% being quite nice, I'm just wondering if there is another passive that might benefit the group more.

So, using Spectral Blades would proc both Cold Blooded and Conflagration, with a Cold Tal Rasha's Amulet and a Triumvirate? The only use I'd get from Cold Blooded would be more damage from myself, while Conflagration would add to teammates' damage as well. Then it would seem like Cold Blooded isn't as useful? How long does the chilling effect from Spectral Blades last? Could I count on it to add to other spells I'd use (like Meteor) as well?Posted in: Wizard: The Ancient Repositories
As I understand it now, in terms of adding DPS to teammates, all I'd want to do would be to keep Time Stop, Frost Nova and Conflagration up as much as possible, correct? The rest would be to add to my own damage/survivability? I'm thinking if there's another spell, other than Meteor, that could do it (like Blizzard, maybe?) Or maybe just go for Familiar/Magic Weapon instead an just rely on Spectral Blades?

I tried some searching on these forums, but the answers seem a bit different and mutually exclusive... So I thought I'd ask for some clarification, if possible!Posted in: Wizard: The Ancient Repositories
I've recently started playing with a support build for my wizard (http://eu.battle.net/d3/en/profile/Sajber-1354/hero/2895977), which is quite fun! I'm trying to understand exactly how Cold Blooded and Conflagration works...
As far as I understand it, Cold Blooded + Cold Damage (as from my Tal Rasha's Amulet) means that any monster I hit with any of my attacks (be it Spectral Blades, Magic Missile or whatever) becomes chilled and thus takes 20% more damage. This would only apply to damage I do myself, and not any other allies hitting that target. Am I correct in this? As far as Conflagration goes, any fire damage at all would do the trick, right? From, say, a Triumvirate? So the same principle as above would apply?
I get a bit confused when I read the other topics regarding this issue, as some seemed to say that most skills add the +X % as physical, and not as the elemental type listed, with Spectral Blades as the only exception. Which one is it? Or am I completely off, totally?
Thanks in advance,

Okay, thanks! I'm definitely thinking of getting an LS Skorn and a Cold damage SoJ now and replace Bloodthirst with Brawler. I read in http://eu.battle.net/d3/en/forum/topic/7391099311 that Brawler seems to have some kind of delay, though, and that it might not be as useful as one would like. What are you guys' experiences with Brawler? Is there another passive I might benefit from taking instead of Brawler?Posted in: Barbarian: Bastion's Keep

Been lurking these forums for a while now, reading and learning all kinds of different things, and it's been quite fun! I used to main my Monk, but after having geared up my Barbarian a bit more it's been so much more fun. I'm currently a big fan of the WW/Rend build, as I feel I've got very good DPS at the same time as very good survivability. I haven't really given WW/HotA or Rend/HotA much chance yet, but I intend to. At the moment, though, I'm looking for an upgrade, and I'm wondering what would be best for me at my current gear and with the build I'm using.Posted in: Barbarian: Bastion's Keep
I've got a good IK belt lying around, but with Bloodthirst I haven't really needed it. I can do MP7 quite comfortably, with the occassional death due to nasty affix combinations. I've thought about maybe getting a new Skorn, but with LS, so I can drop Bloodthirst and get Brawler instead. Thoughts? I also want to craft better Bracers and an Amulet, but I haven't gotten around to it quite yet. I've also thought about getting a Witching Hour.
Well, as you can see I'm not quite sure what I should aim for. Do you guys have some tips? Thanks in advance!
