posted a message on Quick question about Boulder Toss.
I use a build where I stack +fire dmg to get the most out of Avalanche and Earthquake, plus the rest of my skills except one: Boulder Toss. I tried using Seismic in place of Boulder, but its not as fun.

My question is this: If I use weapons that deal fire damage, will Boulder Toss benefit from the full affect of the +fire dmg gear?

Yeah, I figured that +Physical/Ancient Spear damage and Crit Hit Chance/Damage would be the best way to squeeze out as much from Boulders.

Has anyone done any testing to see if Resource Reduction does anything for Boulder Toss? My initial thought would be that its useless, but my speculation comes from the thought that maybe you would have a little extra Fury leftover after each toss. I'd try it out but I'm at work. Anyone tried this?

posted a message on Idea! Summoning Circle
People wish they could work towards a certain legendary to make a certain build. This is my idea to help make that possible.

    The Summoning Circle

In the ubers house, there could be a circle that summoned 6-10 elites packs after , each pack scaling through the difficulty multipliers (Normal - T6) and must be killed within a certain time period. If you kill the elite pack before you reach 50% time, you gain a shrine buff. The packs would have a better chance to drop more loot the farther you can get and would make farming pretty fast.

IDK, the way this sounds right now it would be way too efficient but just wanted to toss this out to the community. Cheers!

posted a message on Mountain Man Build
Since the elemental skill additions, I've been trying to develop a cold damage build.

    Here's it is: http://us.battle.net/d3/en/calculator/barbarian#WZTYek!ZWS!bbZacc

At level 70, my thought is to exchange War Cry for Avalanche - Snow-Capped Mountain/Glacier and add on the Earthen Might passive for more Fury gen. It's pretty fun, especially when paired with an Azurewrath.

Vanguard is used because everything is slowed from cold damage and you run just a little bit faster. This kinda equals out to always having sprint turned on. Very noticeable once you have 2 pieces of gear with +movement speed!
HotA for da Hulk Smash. Devil's Anvil can be used to gain breathing room by placing the snare nodes between you and the mobs.
Earthquake forces most rares and elites to eat the entire AoE due to the freeze.
Ground Stomp - Deafening Crash does it job in the form of fury gen and applying that snare after the stun falls off.
Seismic Slam - Permafrost is great for slowing those pesky runners/treasure gobs. And of course, great AoE on clusters when Earthquake is on CD.
War Cry is just a place holder for now. To go with the theme of one that conquers mountains, they have a high resistance against the elements.

Please, try it out, leave some feedback.
I've been trying to show this build around, but the official forums are a cesspit.

posted a message on Is this Diablo anymore?
Personally, I see skill trees as a nuisance. They are just extra work to get you to the spot you want you're character to be in. The current skill system with 5 different flavors of runes for each skill is straight-forward enough. I've played enough games with distributing points in them and people act like it provides SOOOOO much customization. It provides a feeling of deeper customization. But in reality, there is nothing more deep about a skill tree than there is about the current skill system. This same general point that I'm trying to make can also be applied to the itemization in D3. You think it's dumbed-down, I say it's to-the-point.

    Quote from inzynier_osamix

Didn't get the beta, so I have few questions about transmog:
    1) can i transmog an item to look like a normal one? change a legendary or high tier item to look like an tier 1 item?
    2) can i transmog, lets say a WD knife to look like some sword or a normal helm to look like a voodoo mask? (probably not, but how fun would it be to watch a barb with a voodoo mask on :D)
    3) hom much does transmog cost and does the price change depending on item lvl or something?
    From what I've seen:

    1) Yeah, you can change to low tier gear too. This was confirmed by a blue.

    2) What they've been saying is that as long as the weapons have the same attack animation, you can transmog it. So no, WD knives can't look like swords. Just like my 1H axes can't look like 2H axes, ala Titan's Grip style.

    3) Transmog only costs like 5k now I think right?

I know transmog is RoS content. Just hope that every thing carries over to it.

Do the legendary transmogs we find before RoS release carry over? I could find it anywhere...

I don't understand the logic that "It's okay to powerlevel, this is a Diablo game."
What kind of uproar would there be if this was any other game with this kind of exploit.

If you want to be 60, just play the freakin' game the way it's supposed to be played.

There's something about PoE that just doesn't meld with me.
It's very niche I think. Good game, I'm sure. D3 is just more to my liking.
Better combat, better graphics, more fleshed out and role-fulfilling classes.

That's probably why I started having troubles, actually. I was only using items that dropped. I completely forgot that crafting can actually be worth it now! lol

Started a new Barb in the PTR and once I started getting close to level 20, damage from rares and elites started to just melt me on Master, so I turned it down to hard until I got those first 2 legendaries/good rares. Then I turned it up to Expert again and it seems good so far. That's just my experience so far though.

Edit: Oh yeah, the main reason that it started happening around level 20 is because you can no longer out-level a difficulty. Monsters level up with you, so the challenge is always going to be there now.
