To me it feels like the consolde verison of the game is the way it was meant to play. I feel like the decision to bring about an auction house caused them to roll the loot back and bit and made everything feel really unrewarding on PC. As of now my only compaint on the console is the "smart" loot. I love being showered with good items. But I also love the rng of it all. That orange beam of light is exciting and then you see it rolled dex instead of whatever you wanted. I don't know. Especially since the loot is so much better on console I think we can afford more rng to it because the next echoing fury is around the corner.

Perrsonally I've never given a shit about other people cheating. I play my own game my way and to hell with everyone else. The console is awesome for that. No lag. And the loot system is better. Without an open trade system they had to make the loot better. And it is. I found two legendaries in act one normal mode. And another in act two. Three legendaries before level 20. I was giddy as hell. The thrill in diablo for me was always finding my own badass stuff. The AH was never fun only nessecary because of the way loots drops on PC. With console I get to have the excitement of finding awesome shit on my own.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion

If you consider that the term "legendary items" was actually borrowed from WoW, the next level would be "artifact" (though these items only exist theoretically in WoW).
As some have already mentioned, this was brought up earlier, and I actually like the idea. But these items should be really super rare, probably a reward from some event that you can do max once per weak and that's super hard (10x as hard as MP10 ubers or so).
The idea is to help players along in the upgrading of their characters, without overflowing the AH with items. So only making super hard to get in which you need super gear anyway to get defeats the point.
The reason these super items are BOA is to prevent deflation of previous rarity items on the AH. Let's face it....if you make a super tier of items tradable then those are the only items people will want to buy. So making them Boa reduces the risk of the AH market getting too jacked.

Lately there has been talk about once again changing legendaries and other items in order to filter out some of the crap. By making the items better and lowering the drop rates, the idea in once more being excited when a legendary drops is a nice idea.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
But how about something different. Leave Legendaries the way the are now, potentially awesome, but usually not. And add a set of ultra rare, but extremely powerful gear called Mythic gear. Mythic gear is high stat extremely strong gear that is account bound an cannot be used in pvp. One-handed mythics would not roll below 1000dps and could roll up to 1700. two handers would cap at 2400. Stats on armor mythic's would be between 250-450.
I mean that's just whatever numbers, but the idea is that they would be items that you wouldn't find very often. (Maybe 1 in 20 Act 3 clears, for example) But when they do drop and you get the blue beam, you'd be excited. While randomness of stats still might sadden you as you get a 400int shoulder while playing your barb, there is still a much higher chance of getting yourself or and alt something worth equiping.
Probably a stupid idea.
but I just wanted to get it out there.

Actually I don't ever have any good ideas. So posting in the good idea thread is a waste of time. This was just my stupid thoughts on new features that could be awesome in my mind....but my mind is retarded so that isn't saying much.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion

I've been seeing a lot of fanmade patches and ideas coming to the forum and I thought I'd give one a try. Forgive the text only patch note as I have no talent for art, and after you read this probably no talent for game design either.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
Diablo 3: Hunting the Stone
Two new acts have been added to the game.
Act 5: Journey through the dense jungles of the Sharval Wilds, as you hunt the black soulstone that fell from the high heavens. Here the tribal town of Enfstieg will be your safe heaven against the mutated beasts that have begun to appear in the jungle.
Act 6: The final showdown against Adria takes place across the frozen wastes of Scosglen and the town of Tur Dulra. Unspeakable horrors await players as they near the black soulstones radiating energies.
New Class: The Paladin - this heavy armored warrior of light takes power from one-handed and shield equipment. With a number of abilities designed with having a shield equipped players will find exciting new uses for finding awesome shields in game. The paladin is a strength based class that fights with melee combat and area of effect spells.
New Artisan: The Mystic - This new craftsman allows players to use essences and other crafting materials to "Reforge" stats on existing magic and rare items. Don't like health globe granting extra health on this item? No worries change it to attack speed instead (with a modest fee of course.) Much like reforging in WoW this will not work as a one-to-one ratio and there will be a % reduction for changing a stat figure.
New challenge: Decent of the Endless - A new endless dungeon that ramps up in difficulty every ten levels you progress. Every ten levels will find players encountering an uber boss as well as a bump in difficulty. The dungeon will start as if a player was on inferno mp0, and then proceed to get harder and harder until players reach mp25. (mp25 is near impossible! How far can you get?)
New Level cap: With two new acts comes a level bump up to 70! Players will keep their paragon progress from before but paragon experience will freeze until players reach the new level cap and then resume if they are not already paragon 100. In addition to new abilities across every class, paragon's magic and gold find bonus will now cap at 350% instead of 300%.
New Items: An entire new tier of items up to ilvl 75 now drop in game. In addition we have added almost 100 brand new max level legendary items for players to find. Get ready to upgrade.
New Gems: All gems can now be upgraded another level past marquese, but like before they make any item they are slotted into bind on accound. In addition to that there is now a new gem color Blue! Blue gems grant Attack speed% in weapons up to 15%. In armor they provide All resist up to 75 per gem. And in helms they provide gold and health globe pick up radius up to 25 yards.

Depending on how you want to build your monk the stats required vary. I currently don't have much resistance which is a flaw in my gear atm. I use the resistance mantra to boost my AR to about 480. However my dps is 120K which allows me to slaughter through all inferno acts on mp3 comfortably. Not that impressive, but it is a good starting point for me.Posted in: Monk: The Inner Sanctuary
Since you are looking for a goal around the same area as where I am at, I'd say to power through inferno on mp1 you want to push around 50k dps, and maybe 250AR. Of course that all varies with how you intend to build. The 50K dps benchmark is a good goal to start with and shouldn't be very hard to get with 500million to blow.
Browse the AH for items with crit dmg, chance and attack speed. Sometimes people really under value items like that and you can snag something solid for cheep. With luck you could probably get well over 100K dps for the gold you have.
FYI: Get a witching hour for your belt. This is not an option.
