    posted a message on PvP Balanced = ¿Starter Edition?

    The problem is, that the devs don't care about it and and every player who cares has long left the game. Balance doesn't matter at this point. You simply won't find enough people.

    Sorry but It is dead. And I say that as somebody who has greatly enjoyed pretty much every pvp mode imaginable in d3. Yes, also vlld&lld.

    @TrueColdKill

    D2 wasn't just the ffa you describe. There were leagues, gm dueling, an active mld/lld scene. Sure, the majority didn't bother with PvP but for some people the endgame was purely about PvP and they put a lot of effort into making it a legitimate part of the game. It's not like Blizzard did support it back then or care about rules or leagues.

    @D3 PvP

    I really had fun dueling in D3. I think it could be great with the tiniest bit of support but Blizzard doesn't care and the community, that cares about it has long left the game.

    So unless everybody suddenly wants PvP and the bnet forums speak about nothing else but how they would totally pay for a pvp dlc, it won't happen. This is just another useless thread. Better wish for Torment XX - it will come.

    you should be able to somehow tag items, so that when you try salvaging them a different window than the usual "do you really want to do that?" pops up.

    took me around a week in HC. Gems to 65 and the cursed chest. If it weren't for me constantly forgetting about pausing the game while speaking to people it couldve been a lot faster^^

    Needless to say its already full in NS and I only store wizard gear .. -.-

    solo 75 is... scary for casual hardcore players like me... Hell, even gems to 65 is, since you have to go at least 64, and that's... potentially-deadly.

    Will probably aim for cursed chest and all bosses to get the stash tab.

    I did solo 75 last season, with a dmo wizard and I played pretty casually through the season. A whole lot solo. I could see it being rough in hardcore just to get to that point gear and gem wise but if your in a clan having them powerlevel you a softcore to try it on shouldn't be much of an issue. If last season is any indicator some folks will be paragon 600+ by the end of the first week if not within the first few days.

    all depends on the class and set you use. I played casually for ~2 weeks season hc and thanks to marauders I could go up to GR70 w/o a problem. So it will be Gems+GR this season again for me ;) Especially considering the damage nerf I think 75 is realistically possible, even for HC players.

    posted a message on Illusion of diversity

    I am one of those "d2.5hd people" and D2 had the same problem you are describing right now BUT while playing a popular build certainly gave you a big advantage, you could make almost everything work when you put your mind to it. That is what I'm missing in D3. There certainly are many builds to play but they consist of a 6p set + various legendaries. There's no room for creativity. When players find out about some interesting synergy it most likely will get nerfed.

    That was slightly offtopic, I actually agree - D3 has diversity, the choices you make just aren't that exciting.

    There's also that thing called fact and D2 classic in fact had a quite active scene. Of course that's not true for D3 but it's a valid question.

    posted a message on Will ever be PvP in this game ?
    Quote from Fyrseygo-next

    well, that would be huge amount of work, actually :D AND they would have to begin with the skills, they're totally PvE oriented. In a nutshell, PvP mod would be a new mini-game within d3. Of course, it's do-able, and one shouldn't be a genius to come up with the reasons to play PvP, but I really-really doubt we will see it any time soon.

    the skills do work once you remove all the overloaded pvm stuff. You don't need to put work in hard to balance pvp only sets. The more basic pvp items are, the better. Scale it down, not up. Just some vit and mainstat, no shiny set bonuses or legendary affixes, that are impossible to balance.
    i had lots of fun with low level duels back in vanilla. the mechanics got so much potential for exciting pvp when there aren't billions of damage and countless different effects involved.

    yah Event Horizon would at least contribute something and all you lose is some time stacking the DoT.

    @Calamity
    OP probably uses Zei's and even if not, you don't really want to be right next to the Monsters.

    yeah, AT and Disintegrate with Archon were in a good place. A counterpart to Mirrorball/Fire Archon.

    @Twister
    Have to correct me. I think they are three ways you could play Twister:

    - cold rune for lesser cost (fire rune with cinder gives you even less cost but it's so glassy..and so fire^^)
    - lightning rune with lightning signature spell (Living Lightning imo) for better ressource management - additional, "free" APoC procs via signature. Probably not worth the damage loss...that shitty lightning bolt -.-
    - Raging Storm (2 Twister = 1 Storm, so the rune now finally deals the most damage out of all. Also the first twister ticks for some time before it merges with the second one). This I can imagine only works with a monk or some other reliable way of pulling monsters together. Else you'll run out of AP pretty easy.

    I'll have to try those out in greater rifts. Probably tomorrow since Germany is playing vs USA this evening ;)

    hmm yeah, still too much M6 going on for my taste.
    what sounds interestingis Shadow Set with Night's Bane which would be nice if didn't use slots you need for other items. Either for M6 or Cinder, Mages, Hexing Pants if Cluster..

    yes but the T&T bonus doesn't count as "normal ias", it applies it's own APS multiplicator. Didn't work for Hydra till 2.0.6 though.
