I really really love doing the races in path of Exile. If they add something like that to Diablo 3 I would buy the expansion in a heart beat. It would go a long way to making the game better and more fun. Races also add tons of replay-ability because you keep doing them for points to get rewards.
Any kind of timed trial will heavily favor classes with many movement speed options, so that's not a great idea.
That shouldnt be a problem to fix. The races in PoE have certain rules like no projectiles. The Devs just have to code each event to say not allow movement speed abilities.
So a "How good is my gear"-mode. There's already something for this. It's called the character panel.
"Timed Dungeon"
Same thing. The only limiting factor is going to be gear and luck.
"Goblin Hunt"
Strike three. Gear and luck the only limiting factors.
None of these are fun or original. Done in games where skill (mostly aim i.e. Killing Floor) plays a role they can be entertaining, but skill does not come into play in Diablo 3. XP/h for well geared barbs farming mp10 doesn't vary wildly, it all relies 100% on gear. I don't doubt I will get flamed because there are people who think Diablo 3s skill ceiling isn't pathetically low, but I'm not worried. Blizzard may have made numerous mistakes during development of Diablo 3, but none of them as monumentally retarded as adding any of the above mentioned features would be.
Thats not how races work. They are done with fresh level 1 characters not your real ones. You make a new character each time a new race starts and you only use the gear you find during the race. Once it ends the character is locked out and can never be played again. When a new event comes along you make a new level 1 and start over. Thats why they are so much fun and never get old.

It's only one of the fastest selling games, most pre-ordered games on Amazon, most first-day sales and as of today one of the best selling pc games ever. It's still played by over 1 million players every day.

I have played the game since launch and have 100s of hours of play time invested. I have seen Blizzard do NOTHING to make the game better. Every time I get a new class to 60 Im forced to hit the RMAH for gear because you cant get it from playin gth eactual game. With over 100k elite kills I have never sold an item for more than 100 mil gold and in the last month I havent even gotten a drop that I have listed on the AH. Am I not right to express outrage as they choose to destroy the game rather than make it better? Im not a hater or troll Blizzard is. Compare this game to something like Path of Exile and please tell me where its actually better? The loot system is broken and doesnt revolve around time spent in game but the AH. Crafting is terrible. Blizzard doesnt listen to its players. Hell this game was never even beta tested unless you consider what we are doing now "Open Beta"

Why dont they just remove both the RMAH and the GAH. Everyone agrees both of those have ruined this game. Let us get gear from actually playing the game and killing mobs, I have been playing since release and have had a dozen level 60s. I cant think of a single time I actually looted an item that I equipped unless you count the new crafted ilvl 63 stuff. Every single item came from the AH. Remove the damn thing so I can get loot from playing the game rather than trying to play the AH. I bought this game thinking it was an ACTION-RPG not an AH tycoon.

How is it trolling to post facts. In one week I didnt list a single item on the AH. Thats exactly the same amount of items as someone not even playing the game. Also because of crafting I actually lost gold because selling junk rares to the vendor doesnt cover crafting demonic essence gear costs. So actually my brother won because he started with 0 gold and ended with 0 gold thus had no net change. I started with 9 million gold and ended with around 5 million so I lost 4 million. He actually did better than I did in terms of efficiency as I lost gold and he didnt.
Blizzard just keeps One upping themselves. Just when I thought they possibly couldnt ruin this game any more they do. I seriously dont see anyone staying around once PoE comes off beta and is live. Having played D3 since launch and having 3 lvl 70+ characters in PoE I honestly cant think of a single thing Diablo 3 has done thats even close to being better than PoE. Also having a company that actually cares and listens to its players is just icing on the cake. But I will still log in and play D3 with some false hopes that one day you wont need the AH or real money to actually get gear and it will come from mobs rather than the AH.
OK decided to see if people were just blowing the whole "Loot system is horrible in this game" thing out of proportion. I decided to have a contest starting last Monday with my brother to see who gets the most drops. Now heres the hilarious thing. He doesnt even play this game and I play around 7-8 hours a day. So I should have easily won right? NOPE. We actually tied. After an entire week of doing Act 3 runs I didnt list a single item on the AH. Every single item I looted went straight to the vendor. I didnt even salvage anything because I didnt get any legendaries to salvage in the first place. Obviously since he doesnt play he didnt get any drops either.
Can someone please explain to me the logic behind getting the same amount of drops as a person who doesnt even play the damn game?
It begs the question: Why does WotB require a passive slot to extend it's duration while Archon gets it for free?
Because Archon itself is the build. WotB is just a useful part to WW and HotA builds. Archon is the attack. Once Archon drops you cant do anything until its off of cooldown.
the steelseries macros a really limited... IF you want to macro your CM you should use autoit... but im not sure if this would be considere third party stuff... but mousemacro and autoit are pretty much the same so you are "cheating" anyway... its up to you

Also pretty sure they cant detect autoit. I used it in WoW for years to prospect and sometimes I forgot it was running and left in on for a day or 2 if I wasnt playing and they never kicked me or anything even though the macro running keeps you logged in and doesnt AFK you even if there is nothing to prospect.
Thinking about making another wizard. I know Archon isnt very good on higher MPs but last time I played I really enjoyed Archon and Im sure eventually it will get fixed so people can play it on higher MPs. I mean you are supposed to play the build you like right and not just whats fotm for high MPs right? But when I first started playing the game, and most of last summer I played as CM/WW and really enjoyed it.
