posted a message on THUD got hacked?!

Thud reveals items in the world that cannot be seen without revealing the fog of war, in Grifts particularly showing the exact location of pylons, and what that pylon is, giving a general map layout so you can avoid all the major detours which in turn gives you a speed advantage over those of us that don't use this "addon" which is and will always be, cheating, there is no other word for it, if you don't think this is cheating then you need to get back to school because your teachers obviously failed to teach you the correct definition of the word, and the context it is used in.

posted a message on New player completely overwhelmed

here's a little breakdown of what diablo 3: reaper of souls is about now'a'days:

season and non season, these are 2 game modes that are completely separate from each other, much like "hardcore" is separate from "normal".

within each game mode exists several different difficulty levels designed to challenge both character level, and gear level, which are as follows:

    "normal"

    "hard"

    "expert"

    "master"

then there is a tier of difficulties above master called "torment" and these are a scaling difficulty much like the previous ones, but scale up from torment 1, through to torment 10, which is the hardest difficulty within the difficulty menu.

the maximum level is now 70, and you need to reach this level in order to unlock what many consider to be the true game, aka the item/loot hunt.

once you hit level 70, you will then unlock "paragon" experience, this is an updated version to the original paragon levelling system added back in classic, with the current system you gain "normal" xp to get from level 1 to 70, then once you have reached level cap, you still gain xp, and this xp is added to a new pool which provides points to spend on character power in various different forms, you can add points to increase your attack speed, or give yourself a little bonus armour, you can provide yourself with other boosts that don't directly increase your power upfront, but interact with your character to provide power in other ways, you gain 1 point for every paragon level up to a "soft cap" of 800, once you reach paragon 800 you will only be able to spend points in the "primary" skills of your class, either strength, agility or intellect, with the option also to spend it in vitality if you so desire, as that is also classed as a primary stat, and these 2 categories have no level cap.

each class has available 4 "sets" these are sets of gear that comprise 6 pieces (7 in the case of the "legacy" sets such as inna's hold/tal rasha's elements etc which were available in classic but have been since updated in the current iteration of the game), with many MANY supporting legendary items for non set slots such as bracers/rings/amulets/weapons, however some builds use multiple item sets together to get multiple set bonuses active at a time, you will find this out the more you play and more familiar you become with the classes in general, but more specifically the class you decide to play, on top of that there is a multitude of legendary items for every slot of gear with many having unique and power abilities called "legendary powers" these powers are often used to synergise with gear set bonuses, and/or augment a build to play slightly differently as a result.

recently, there was an addition to the game called "Kanai's cube" this is a repository to transfer power effects on legendary items to use in conjunction with your normal armour items, and allows you to use multiple power effects that would not normally be available due to not being able to wield multiple weapons at once for example, but not only this, it is used as a way to "craft" certain legendary items faster by using a rare quality item and upgrading it in the cube and other such things along those lines.

also a new addition to the game, when you get to level 70 in season mode, you will be able to complete something called "the season journey" as part of this feature if you fulfil certain criteria of the season journey, you will be awarded with a full set of gear for your class based on what blizzard have predetermined for that season, it can be obtained only once, so make certain of your chosen class before levelling up as you will not be able to obtain it again in this manner, and will then be forced to loot it as a normal drop item in the world either through rifts, greater rifts or bounties.

in regard to your feeling overwhelmed by terms and phrases, many of the names of builds are tied into the gear set they are built upon, with a few exceptions, for example "LoN barb" refers to a barbarian using the "legacy of nightmares" ring set, and equipped with "ancient" non set items in all other slots, a "Thorns sader" is a crusader using the "invokers" set of gear, with this gear set, the crusader deals damage not just directly attacking enemies, but when he/she is attacked as well dealing a portion of the damage received back at the attacker, there are many builds for all classes that follow this trend where they build is named either due to the spells/abilities they use, or the gear set they are using in the build, you will become more familiar the more you play and the better you understand the various classes.

hope this helps a little bit, there is much much more to learn as you get more experienced you will find out a whole host of different things about the game that will make your gaming experience even better.

Good to see but sadly not good enough they should do it more often , why is it hard to play this game legit?

because due to the human condition we are hard coded to follow the patch of least resistance.

posted a message on Season has been out for 312 hours, top ranked players have over 300 hours played in this season, explain ?
    Quote from Gumbogo-next

People botting affects you how again? If it bothers you that much to the point where you look at their time played, perhaps it's time you spent a few hours and picked up a bot yourself so you can have a chance at the leaderboards. Last I checked, you don't get a thing other than a larger e-peen for getting on them. I'm sure there is something much more important that you could spend time on than worrying about these guys that cheat. Your life is the same whether they do or not.

i will state this as simply as i possibly can, so you and others like you can follow and understand and i promise to keep the big words at minimum:

botters affect me by essentially making it impossible for me to compete at the higher levels of gameplay, even though i have some of the best rolled gear for my class IN THE WORLD, not just in my game region, but the entirety of the D3 game in all regions, but that is now a moot point because gear caps out, so even with my disgustingly good gear i am in no position to compete due to the stupidly high paragon levels people who bot (and generally no lifers in general) have now it makes my effort to compete on solo leaderboards a waste of my time, and group rankings? ha forget it, never happening, so, that's how people who bot affect me, and many 10's of thousands of players like me, in regard to your nonchalant disregard for personal accomplishment with your comment "you don't get anything for high ranking other than epeen", that is extremely rude and factually incorrect.

if we all shared your outlook on things regarding cheating, then bots would be even more prevalent than they already are because your apathetic attitude is disgusting.

last season wizards was almost on top solo wise. in 4 man groups i am not sure.
stop spewing misinformation because you sir are 100% wrong, i suggest looking back and reading up on what state wizards were in not just last season, but since RoS launched, and then come back here and tell me/the community just how great they were/are.

well, as many of you have seen that a grift 100 was achieved by 1 dps and 3 supps. wizards.

now this is a thing. and why is this still a thing? now no other class can get a decent group for 4 man compositions. classes like dh, crus etc are now all adequate and people are gonna ask wizards all the time.

wizards should be nerved. otherwise the d3 population will take a deep dive down..

    are you fucking kidding me?

seriously are you joking/trolling, because this feels like a troll thread to me, DH's had 2 FULL SEASONS of being the only viable dps class for 4 man groups, crusaders were mainstay like WD's until CC was changed, wizards have been, and still are mechanically broken, this has not changed at all since RoS went live, and as such have been the worst class in game bar none and here you are asking for the worst class in game to be nerfed because you can't play your precious main class all the time and mask this behind a "but what about class balance" arguement that is a non issue, wake the fuck up please and get some perspective, because this makes me sick.

ehm, its kinda hilarious, but unless they changed the build around after posting then i dont see power hungry there? and i highly doubt that they are using hellfire for it :p but hey they might, but unless you can show that why is power hunger the issue?

they can change skills all they like, but the moment you complete a GR run, your skills/cube powers/gear equipped and the stats on said gear are all snapshot in time at the exact moment you cleared the rift, so if it shows them with that skill layout, then that's what they cleared the rift with.

posted a message on When (and how often) do vendors change their wares

every time you open a new game a vendor will have new items and different items available, regarding specific items, rings/amulets will only appear at the same level as they can be first equipped, and are sold by a specific vendor in each town hub.

posted a message on [2.4] How will we farm paragon levels next patch?

for the best xp/hour for the masses it will be T10 regular rifts, as for Grifts specifically it will come down to what you and your party can handle as the highest tier GR and how fast you can reliably clear that tier.

posted a message on Warcraft (2016) Teaser.

I understand what you mean, but for what I've seen there are some recognizable chararacters:

    - Durotan (Thrall's Father);

    - Baby Thrall;

    - Garona Halforchen (a half orc half human recently retconned to be a half orc half draenei);

    - Orgrim Doomhammer (or I think it was him)

    - Anduin Lothar (human protagonist)

And seems that the plot is centered on the events of the first Warcraft game.

That's why I hope they will not go around retconning the plot too much.

    Anyway: SPOILER ALERT

In this video some of the inconsistencies of the trailer with the current lore are pointed out XD

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZK5DQwuqtyU

Lothar gets himself killed by Doomhammer (not sure if it happens in the movie tho, but it happens in the lore), oh and Garona is a traitor.

from what was seen in the movie trailer, it would appear that we will not be seeing the fall of stormwind, or the creation of "the alliance of lordaeron" simply we will be getting the creation of "the alliance" which i'm not overly happy with but obviously we will have to wait and see what happens when it releases next year to fully understand where they are going with the storyline.

posted a message on Quin's Itemization Rant
    Quote from Solmyr77go-next

He is right. Using a skill should not require us to wear a certain item that unlocks its damage. End of story.

and yet wizards have been forced to do just that since RoS launched, because all the damage a wizard can deal comes from set bonuses, only DMO actually augments skills directly to deal more damage, firebird's finery is all about the DoT effect (in 2.4 it is DoT plus an overall dmg buff effect which causes all skills to deal more damage so a bit more broad than targeted skills), tal'rasha's elements is all about the meteors and has very little to do with what skills you use to proc them/provide the buff effect of the 6p, and vyr has no actual damage bonus whatsoever, all the dmg this set does actually comes from the wand/source set from chantodo, which is pathetic, a set that revolves around the wizards most powerful spell to make it even more powerful is a pathetic pile of junk requiring so many key specific items equipped in every slot, there is literally no room to customise what you wear, add to that mechanically the wizard class is stuck with skill mechanics of the archaic "classic" D3 whereby all skills have an element of CC attached to them, or they have so much anti synergy it is laughable, and just sticking them on a gear set is a pathetic joke, and this issue is only going to get worse and worse the longer it goes on, as it is now being shown to affect all classes, i personally want blizz to keep going down this path until it gets to the point where classes almost can't function and any moron with half a brain can tell what the underlying problem is, only then will we see an actual response from the development team, (aka bob and jeff as everyone else was shoved onto overwatch/HOTS), that they are going to fix it with a major overhaul of class skills.

posted a message on 2.4.2 Difficulty Overview
    Quote from Bagstonego-next

Hm.... it seems like we're not getting an official version of this in 2.4, but Blizzard officials are using this chart as their reference. Strange. (See this thread)

So - the only change I can think of would be that TX caches now drop 5 instead of 4 materials. Anything else? Did anything at all change in 2.4 regarding this chart or is it really only this small change to keep it up-to-date for 2.4?

@jaffarius: Sorry, but I've done quite a few T7 ubers since and I've tried to look for anyone else to confirm this, and I've never heard of 3 organ drops at T7 ubers. Not gonna touch that for now, unless I find more people backing that up.

did ubers on T7 on the PTR and had 3 organs drop from killing leoric/mahgda, only happened the once and couldn't replicate it due to not being able to leave game at the time due to PTR queues, but it does happen very infrequently.
