posted a message on <Ozu> Team Ozu recruiting for Season 2 - NA

    TL;DR

We’re a Season 2 clan looking for semi-active pLvl 400+ people to run GR35+/other stuff with. Contact Kozu#1747 or Mozu#1573 for more details or if you have any questions.

    Our History

We’re currently a clan of around 10 people who formerly raided together for years in World of Warcraft, and started D3 together at launch. At the present, only 4 or so of us are active now, having returned for Season 2. Although the four of us play semi-frequently, there are periods where only one or two people are online, and ultimately it’s led us to decide that we either need to find a new clan to join or we needed to recruit into ours.

    What We’re Looking For

All of the clans we saw on various recruiting sites either had strict requirements and required voip, a bit more than we’re looking for, or were super laid back to the point where forming groups for T4 farming wouldn’t be uncommon. We’re looking for people who generally:

    • Farm GR35+ for speed runs.
    • Play semi-actively (3-5 days/week).
    • pLvl 400+ (This isn’t a strict requirement, we understand paragon level and ability aren’t a direct correlation; finding relatively active members is our main goal).
    • Able to look up your class and min-max reasonably well.
    • Don’t take the internet or chat too seriously. Colorful language makes up a noteworthy portion of our chat. If you get easily offended, this may not be the place for you.
    • People who can turn left.

    What to Expect:

    • GR 35+ Groups.
    • GR Pushing.
    • Key Farming Parties.
    • Turning left.

    What You Shouldn’t Expect:

    • Not required to play daily.
    • Not required to be a certain class/play a certain role for GR progression.
    • Not really required to do much, but if you disappear for a while you may be kicked.
    • Turning right.

I ended up picking up a high str high vit skorn for purposes of running a rend build on mp10 keeps2 and it's actually worked pretty wonderfully (minus those damn fallen maniacs). I tried using it (along with the huge dps increase) to do the other things I'd normally do / farm but it was pretty awful. Basically I've had my try at 2h and can't see myself doing anything but dual wield except for when farming mp10 and not having the resources to afford really good 1 handers.

Hello all, I know y'all have all been hoping another one of these gets posted :D

I recently made the switch from CM/WW (my poor, poor fingers) to barb and am looking for some advice as to where any gaping holes in what sucks for me gear-wise are. I posted a similar thread for my wizard but this time, I tried to do a bit more research before starting the gearing as opposed to just looking at people's profiles.

    1. Which items present the most glaring holes in gear?
    2. I am somewhat hesitant to put much money early on into weapons as I'm undecided on WW vs Rend/WW. The two I have equipped cost a total of about 4.5 mil I think and are performing just as well as the ones I had prior to this, which totalled about 40 mil. I sold those once I saw these on the AH and assumed/hoped they'd perform almots as well. Is there a type of weapon that's highly underrated on the AH and is reflected in price?
    3. From what I seem to understand, pure WW builds prefer dual wielding with high enough attack speed to hit the breakpoints above 2.00 aps. I've leaned towards LoS/LH/CC/CD much more over AS. Is there a minimum I should hit before focusing on other stats (for instance, CM/WW becomes much easier over 2.51)?
    4. Echoing Fury. How important is that? I have one but things seem to go much more smoothly when using my LoH/Str dagger which cost a fraction of the price of the EF.
    5. Lastly, how important is the offhand dps? I've read up on the mechanics of WW dps / fear procs etc, and from what I've come to understand, the offhand dps doesn't really matter. I would have a hard time wearing say, a 200 dps weapon stacked with other stats like LS/LoH/Str/CD/OS, as opposed to an 800~ dps weapon with much less of what the 200 dps weapon had.

    Here's my build:

As always, all input is appreciated.

Tried out various blizz builds last night including low MP fast run blizz builds and higher MP builds that use blizz for support. Also tried out several meteor builds and tried farming with them at MP9 to see how much xp/hour trash would give me but none of it seemed satisfactory.

I probably do need to watch more videos and probably need to learn when not to stop walking or what to ignore and just keep going. May have to cave in for Archon :(

Yeah that's what I've gathered from videos/posts. I'm curious as to people's preferences / preferred routes / strats / gearing choices / etc. I've tried in the past to buy a few pieces to set up an archon build only to dislike it. I'm hoping to find something taht I can do really similarly to CM/WW gear that's pretty efficient.

Doin mah researchez before spending :)

This is a repost from official D3 forums. I've done this in the past and received better answers from DiabloFans; hoping for the same result :D

With 1.07, I understand that Blizzard leveling has become viable. Every time I decide to grind out levels, I always end up discouraged by low xp/hour or by disliking Archon. I've spent some time looking for up-to-date authorities and 'guides' on how to paragon level the quickest or quick w/ DE drops and Archon at low MP or CM/WW at higher MPs still seems to be the most popular.

I enjoy being a CM/WW wizard but find it really hard to stick to a leveling regimen to get good xp/hour and I find the necessity to kill white mobs to sustain archon a turn-off.

I've seen videos/posts of people posting Blizzard builds and from what I understand they seem to use a mix of CM/WW & Archon gear.
    • How much / what would I need to change from my CM/WW gear to be able to effectively run a blizzard build for primarily leveling purposes?

    My profile doesn't show it, but I have a 960 dps Chant's Will w/ 1.64 APS & OS (90% gem in it) & an Ammy w/ 260 Int, 9 IAS, 8 CC, and 70 AR.
    • Also, is it worth it to grind out a good Hellfire & use a Ruby in my helm or just shoot for higher MPs and ignore bonus xp% from gear? I understand everyone's different and every situation is different but I would ask that if you were in my position, what would you do and why?

Lol Resilga I created a post asking for gearing advice too and mentioned that I'd read the guides posted the following day. When I went to go read them, it was that same gearing guide by Bagstone.

Lol yeah I had sold off some of the gear I had and tried selling the MF WH but ended up just keeping it for now. I've changed around a lot of my gear and have done so at not much cost at all while maintaining my dps and getting over 2.73.

Thanks for the guide links - will make good reading tomorrow. I got a decent roll on crafting gloves about 30 minutes ago and I'm at 2.74 aps now.

A lot of the gear I have right now was gear I picked up when I just returned to the game. A lot of it I picked up without knowing too terribly much about what I was doing. I plan on going shopping tomorrow and I'll probably pick up a CC lacuni's.

I've had a love/hate relationship with mfing and will probably heed your advice and just go full fledged paragon leveling and hopefully climb a bit higher in mp level to get that added mf and experience.

Being squishy has been pretty frustrating at times, but I think it's just conditioned me to be more responsive to environmental effects and learn to kite better / learn mobs better. It would be pretty nice not to have to worry about any of that, though.

So I've reached 2.74 and will try to replace a lot of my life% gear with either mitigation or vit. I'll probably hold onto both chants until I have enough money to indulge more. With cm/ww, is it generally accepted that it's okay / not hugely inefficient to run with 12% run speed? I've wondered if I should keep my BT/lacunis or get better bracers and pick up innas. If I do that though, I'll lose 400+ LoH (which is my only source at the moment).

I spent some time looking at amulets this evening as well and I'm going to have to settle on it. I would assume that the mandatory stats are IAS, CC, and LoH. When I start adding anything else in like AR, int, CD, or armor, things start getting really pricey. Is there a "cheap" yet effective grouping I should be aiming for, as well as certain amounts (10% crit, 9% IAS?)?

10 APoC can be pretty annoying, but it seems manageable at the time being.

What would you recommend in regards to boots if I were to ditch Zunis?

Thanks again for the links and the long/thought out reply.

p.s. could you link your wizard? I'd like to stalk

This is a repost from the official forums; I feel like diablofans gets a lot of good traffic/posters though and am double-dipping in trying to get opinions from two different communities. With that said, here's what I posted lol:

Me: Since I can't post URLs yet, this is the extension for my profile after us battle net - /d3/en/profile/Kozu-1747/hero/688763

Over the past week or so I've been switching back and forth between key farming, MFing on low MP, and just screwing around and trying to get my paragon level up a bit. I've traditionally been a big mf fan (stemming from d2lod) and can't quite figure out what is the best way to go about things.

I currently have about 130m and recognize that I have a lot of gear shortcomings that need to be addressed. I don't know what I should seek to upgrade first or if I should just spend it all on one solid upgrade vs multiple. I've looked at the gear from a lot of extremely well geared cm/ww wizards and I'm pretty sure that's a bad idea as it sets presently unrealistic gear goals to achieve. Regardless, there are a few things I need to get settled.

    1. What to upgrade first? I need more IAS / CC. I'm fine with playing a less tanky less forgiving style until I have better gear later on.

    2. Chants or a rare weapon / echoing fury with triumvirate?

    3. I've got MF on various pieces of gear. I don't know if I should abandon this and try to replace it with a better roll on that stat slot. I feel that any consistent mf I have may increase my chances of finding stuff valuable enough to sell to in the long run provide myself with enough income for better gear.

    4. I don't know if I should try my hand at crafting amulets/gloves in hopes of getting a good enough roll that I don't have to buy anything from the AH or if that's not really a realistic thing to do at my point in the game.

Any and all responses to this will be welcomed and appreciated. I've made posts like this in the past and have always been appreciative of people sharing their knowledge and experience :)
