Had to set the FPS to 60 since that was my in-game fps. That solved it.Posted in: Technical Support

Agreed.Quote from MackieQuote from Vaizard87I'll tell you the hardest that I've seen.
With 200k dps on my DH I still have issues with MP5+ so I'll say stay away from that...
My barb does MP10 at only 270k dps so that's pretty efficient I would say... mind you it took me awhile to get the gear I have without purchasing gold
If you're willing to buy gold it doesn't matter who you pick as long as you don't pick DH (my opinion)
Tbh Demon hunter can do mp10 rather easy, it just takes alot more skill from the person playing it.
Witch doctor is all about a balance of armor, all res, hp and dps. For mp10 you need min 60k hp, 160k dps, 4k armor and 650-700 all res.
I would still vote you go for barb though, as you will have speed and great damage, aim for around 60k hp 500 all res and 200k dps unbuffed.
Also, DH is fastest on lower MP levels.

Um, yeah, because Blizzard asked the community to do so.Quote from BandytoDo not be too optimistic. Currently many people think they are game designers and feel the urge to post their absolutely amazing ideas including speculations instead of waiting for an official announcement.
Don't pick a class based on how the balance is now, just play what you enjoy.Quote from BugahWhat class should I aim to level to 60 first? I really enjoy playing barb and DH but I've read that end game DH is fairly weak. In D2 it was financially ideal to level up a MF sor ASAP when ladder hit, is there any such equivalent in D3? Thanks
If you want a class where your skills can make a big difference though, I think DH provides the most fun options to play around with, and it's easier to differentiate with it if you do have skills.
However, in the absence of skills, or with a really laggy/bad PC, I can see DH being very frustrating.
The only people I know that still play DH now and didn´t reroll to something else are people that are a master of the class.
And as far as I know, they still enjoy it.
The DH's that like to facetank really notice they are not a melee class, while they're effectively playing like one (i.e. standing still while tanking mobs). They end up whining over the insane gear prices because to play like that, you need a lot of defensive stats then, which is costly.
And that's the reality of MP10. Mobs just have too much HP (34x mp0 mob hp) so you will lose a lot of dps running around, staying alive. It's not efficient to do so, you really want to 1shot white mobs and kill elites fast as well as a DH. So on MP10 a barbarian will win. But compare the two on MP5 and the DH can pretty easily provide superior results compared to a barb, imo.
The DH will farm most effectively at a lower MP though, simply because it´s a speedy class with ranged dps output and the barbarian is a melee class that needs to build resources and then spend them.
Instead of playing both, you could also look at gameplay footage of different players and see which style fits you best.
But everyone can play a barbarian well. It's a lot easier than playing a DH well.
Financially, all classes having equal dropchances for their endgame gear, the class played the least should be the cheapest since the demand of the gear would be lowest. And I think not DH but WD fits this role. After WD comes DH though, so it should still be pretty cheap to gear it.
It´s also pretty easy to just get your offensive benchmarks and use your playing skills as your character´s defense and farm effectively as DH.
As barbarian, you would still need that defense, no way around it, but it would be cheaper to get it because your class is meant to take those hits and a DH never was.
The way I progressed was exactly in this manner. I got the offensive benchmarks to farm pretty effectively as DH, once I earned enough gear and gold I could gear a barbarian. As a DH, you can be invincible under certain conditions, if you pay attention. And it doesn't have to gimp your spec either.
As soon as my DH would have the offensive stats to 1shot MP10 mobs though, it would be twice as efficient/fast as my barbarian. However, since mobs have 34 times as much health on MP10 than MP0, that's not happening for me anytime soon. But take it to mp5 and my DH is faster again. Take it to MP10 and my barbarian is faster, but that is subject to balance changes and you should not decide on it.
It's kind of like comparing apples and pears.
So like has been said, play what you think is most fun really. And welcome to the forum

Hey everyone,Posted in: Looking For Group
Since people are on holidays/play other games while they wait for loot 2.0, the online players on my friend list have been few as of late and I'm looking to increase it.
Short background information about me:
I used to play WoW, in Praemium Callidus. #27 world, as a healer, class leader. I led the winning season 2 arena team (only season we attempted) and ended it with a 196-13 winrate on Magtheridon after not moving from the first position for the remainder of that season. Quit WoW years ago though and intended to completely quit gaming. A friend gave me D3 for my birthday a year ago and I've been playing that since then.
I play at varying hours. I'm from the Netherlands and I know fluent English and Dutch. I speak French and German to a lesser extent. I can understand written Swedish and Norwegian, since I used to speak Norwegian, though I forgot most of it by now.
I prefer people who speak fluent English though.
http://d3up.com/b/552981/kamisei this is my account. http://d3up.com/b/55.../kamisei#skills are my skills.
As you can see i play without war cry. I won't spec it either, I love having my nuke too much
I tend to farm mp10 when grouped up.
Preferred classes to play with for me are by a huge margin monks that use exploding palm + cyclone strike, because of the synergy with my own build.
If you have one and you have similar stats to handle MP10 easily, I'm looking for you, but everyone is welcome as long as they have enough character-sheet damage to provide a boost to the run (at the very least 200k).
Apart from this I'm always willing to learn and I have a receptive and kind personality and I'm always open for fun talks as well. As income/hobby I'm a personal trainer and I give nutritional advice to people for a living, though I'm actually a law student.
For a while now I've been paragon 100 so exp farming doesn't serve me a purpose really.
I also have a 200k~ something dps DH I haven't actively played in a while, but I do tend to come back to it sometime in the future.
It's not the point of the post but I happen to stream now and then as well, my goal is to entertain people by simply showing me play, when there's really no immediate downside to it for me. I mention it for the sake of completeness.
If you add me, add the word "cookie" in the message.
See you in-game.
