+1 i dont get it either ppl always whine. Just dont play the game.Quote from BandytoHm...people complain about endless farming. What is the problem with endless farming? I have been doing this since Diablo I. Now many forum posters hate farming. Maybe you all should play something different. Btw, poor troll attempt.Quote from leon483

Hurray, the whiners won. What a bad decision.
I will not buy this expansion. Had high hopes for loot 2.0, but removing the AH is the most stupid thing they did so far.
+1 D3 is going back to D2
selling item took days
all your paragon 100 will be non-ladder and worthless.
ladder is the real deal

No good at all.....i remeber all the time it took for selling 1 item in D2.
so BIG no for this.
I don't know how you approached this, but I did a lot of trading while actually playing the game, which would be an improvement to the current state of D3 for me. And let's not forget that with smart drops, the Mystic and maybe (read: hopefully!) improved crafting there will be less need to trade.
i dont want that the PC version will become console version.....playing 70 hours and have BiS item.
Ilike the way it is now.

Then watch all the interviews again, because you are clearly being selective.
Quote from DemonmongerThe bottom line is that they said they want to add a lot more cube recipes, so I expect to get several in 2017. Potentially a game breaker as well.
Where did they say it? I heard nothing.
"Maybe" is not gonna work here. Maybe we will get a Necromancer somewhere in 2017. Maybe an expansion in 2019. Maybe diablo 4 in 2021. Maybe. Maybe. Maybe.
You WANT TO HEAR that this game is dead, so you are doing whatever you can to make sure that happens.
At some point you need to just move on man.

Let me picture this:
Many of my friends (on my f-list since day 1 since we played together since the 90s) haven't played Season 8. Now imagine I invite them to S8, and play with them. Since I have no use for many of my gear anymore after doing Years of War/Masters of the Universe, I can just give them a ton of great loot, including well-rolled ancient items. They log in, get powerleveled to 70, get fully equipped and can faceroll Torment 11+. 15 minutes are logging in. They have all the gear, no need for Haedrig's Gift, no intention to do the Season Journey (otherwise they would've played before) - so what are they playing for?
Diablo is a loot-based game. If you give your friends all the loot, you're removing the sole purpose for them to play. (Unless they're the one in a million who like to grind paragon).
And of course the illegal 3rd party websites will find a way to exploit this as well, as others have mentioned. Thankfully, trading is not coming back. And it's good that way. You want loot? Slay monsters. That's it. There's no shortcut to get it from your friends. You want to give your loot to your friends? Well, group with them. Otherwise it's good that you can't give it to them; you'd lessen their game experience.
I know that people like trading, but please think about it: as good as it sounds, it's just bad in so many ways from every single perspective. I'd love to see the 2 hour window being extended to 5 or 10 (or at least for as long as you're in a game with someone), but beyond that - please no trading. It made D3 a better game.

Nov 4, 2016Cobearz posted a message on [Theory about Anniversary Dungeon] Also don't give up hope for D3 Xpac.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
I realize many people are upset about the fact that there was no D2 HD, or D4, and like me another xpac announcement.
Still, I think we have some hope. With Diablo 3 being what it was in 2012 till now, its really come quite far. We must remember that they have only recently acquired new developers and have only began on this "new" Diablo project. With nothing to hardly show besides this character pack I understand the frustration, but we are getting what a lot of people wanted a new class, one that would always be welcomed from older games. This at least shows they are listening.
With Rise of the Necromancer pack coming, there was some details about re-doing the old D1 Tristam Dungeon (16 Levels btw) I believe we will get more info regarding the next xpac on the final level. Something down there that may possibly hint at the story were we left off. We must remember that Diablo was and all the other lords of hell was released from the black soulstone. Also that this is were Diablos soulstone was put in the first heros forehead who slayed Diablo (Then begins D2.)
To put it short, I believe we will start getting some new details towards what is to come when they do announce a new xpac. Remember the story isn't over yet and that we have some new content to see sometime soon. Let us hope they have some exciting new details come tomorrow about what they plan on doing in the future.
Blizzcon isn't over yet. We still have some things to unravel.

I hear you - but the show just started. I bet the developer panels talk about 2.5 and changes they are making to address the fans.

There is no big announcement for Diablo left, so ragging against bitching is irrelevant. If they had any, this would have been the time to let us know, build the hype and crash the internet!

So in "The Book of Cain" "Burning Hells: The Realms of Evil" section and the subsequent sections on the 7 evils of hell, three prime and 4 lesser, there is easily enough for an expansion. So if the book is true Mephisto, Baal and Diablo make up Tathamet's head (the book does not confirm this but speculates this to be true). Each of the 7 evils has its own realm in Hell. They are constantly moving and boarders changing. It is believed each Realm is at war with one another (books theory). In the following sections it gives a brief description of each of the seven evils. In each is a description of the realm that evil possesses. One act alone could be hell and all its realms (Azmodan's realm we played through). Really each Realm could be an act if done properly. We could easily start off in Aranoch and make our way through various places Cain visited (find each realm of evil in a different part of Sanctuary easily 5+ acts in DIII [already cleared Azmodan's and we defeated Belial but Belial or both could be easily reincorporated for a total of 7]) to unlock the secrets of Tathamet (this could also be used as a lead in to another game through content patches).
There is definitely a lot left to explore in Diablo III, story wise, and if they truly want to close out the game that would be the way to do it. Another expansion could end with a showdown against a reanimated Tathamet as the three primes found a way bring him back. We could be distracted by the remaining two Lesser Evils, Duriel and Andariel. We could be tasked to bring down each realm, like we did to Azmodan's realm. After completion we would get and ultimate battle in the realm of Terror against Diablo/Tathamet (I am expecting Diablo to become Tathamet and realm of Terror is mostly empty [Book of Cain] so perfect final battleground).
I came up with this baseline in less than an hour. Easily a lot of content that could be added to the game or made into an entirely new game itself. It would be great to get a massive expansion especially considering all the time we have waited or large content patches over the course of the next few years with the promise of another game!
Oct 18, 2016Bagstone posted a message on "HELP, I can't post anymore!" - issues with adblockerPosted in: Diablo III General Discussion
We see a lot of reports over the past few days from people who can't post. It looks like this:
This is an issue with ad blocker (or other browser extensions that tinker with scripts), such as Adblock Plus or uBlock Origin. See Molster's response here; he even provided an exception for AdBlock so you can continue using it on Dfans and still post:
As he said, there's nothing we can do about it, but it's an overaggressive filter by the public "ad" lists. The developers have reported those issues but apparently those lists have not been updated yet.
(I might bump this thread on a semi-regular basis because this issue is affecting people's ability to join conversations on DFans, which of course at the time of season restart is particularly bad timing.)
Feel free to give support in the open ticket as well so no filters are needed:

I made a thing: The Season Journey Tracker!
Here's what it looks like in action:
Super simple concept - just as you doing the Season Journey click on a task to keep an overview of what you have done and what still needs to be done. The status is saved in a cookie. Pay attention to the in-game popups because you can complete many season journey objectives that aren't even visible yet, so this website might help you to keep an overview.
A few observations/PSAs about the season journey:
- If you're only in for the stash tab, do not augment your gear with a rank 30 gem for "Destroyer"; instead, augment a rank 40 gem since you need two of those for "Conqueror".
- Similarly, if you want to go for Guardian, do not augment your gear with anything below rank 50. In fact, you might just complete the entire Season Journey including the solo rift and leveling 3 gems to
6570, and in the end put those three gems on your gear - and be done with the season journey. Saves you the additional 38-50 rifts to level the 3 "augment" gems to 50.
- For Chapter II you need to enchant something at the Mystic, and for Chapter IV you need to enchant a socket into a weapon. If you enchant a socket into any rare weapon it covers both (the Mystic can enchant weapons at level 2 which costs only 1000 gold to upgrade).
As usual, feedback welcome. Also, I have to say a huge thanks to the DFans crew and in particular Monstrous for providing feedback to earlier versions (my inability to create good designs made it look like it was created by a rainbow puking CSS monkey).
To-do list that I might go over (or not):
- Nothing right now (in the far future responsive/mobile web design, but no immediate plans for that since on mobile you lose the main idea I had: to see the entire Journey on one screen)
