Yeah but why would you use this gem instead of a Ruby which has exp% on it?

floodbuster posted a message on SEASON 9Posted in: Diablo III General DiscussionDepends if you want to do the requirement on your own or if you just want to get it over and done with. If the second just go onto a public rift, find one with some others just hammering through everything. I like to announce that I'm just there to do the T13 in 5 just out of courtesy (so they know why I've teleported straight back to town after the RG is killed and closed off the rift). I've done the requirement half a dozen times and I don't think I've been around to kill the RG once.

Yeah, I'm only in Seasons to unlock the stash tabs but I might continue getting to Chapter 4 in future seasons for the cosmetics.Quote from Demonmonger»
I personally delete all my loot after each season, so I did not really understand.

Demonmonger posted a message on Future Character PacksPosted in: Diablo III General DiscussionI also feel we are getting more classes, because they straight up said, "We have several classes already designed, but decided to go with Necro, this time, because we were feeling Nostalgic."
This tells me that yes they will add more, but it might not be the Amazon or Druid. That being said, they could just as easily call the Druid a Shapeshifter, yet have several of the same elements.
Not sure what would be added for a strength class if they do go the route of maintaining class type balance via main stat. I guess Strength could be the Shapeshifter as you mention, and maybe they go with something like a demolitionist for Dex then?
Personally, I want a Cleric. A class that focuses on pure support in groups, or close too it, and a class that deals holy damage ONLY. Essentially, take elements from some classes, and if you do in fact support the current 4-man meta that runs 2 zdps, give us ACTUAL Support focused classes.

Season Journey
The SJ stays the same except for the bosses that are being shuffled around. Tyvalir was so kind to post all the changes on Reddit:

I'll update the SJ Tracker this weekend, after S7 has ended. As Tyvalir said, typos are always possible (as happened in S7) - if you're playing on Asia server and can "spoil" anything just post it in the SJ Tracker thread. I'll update the Tracker for S8 once S7 has ended and bump that thread. Otherwise I'll check it myself once I have the SJ completed on Saturday.
Conquests
- Boss Mode (kill all 16 main bosses in 20 minutes on TX). This is the easiest conquest by far, even for a solo player; see guide here.
- Curses! (kill 350 monsters in a Cursed Chest even on TX). Pretty straightforward and the second easiest conquest - you look for the "Cursed Peat" bounty in Path of the Drowned in Act V.
- Divinity (GR75 solo) as usual.
- Years of War (GR55 solo with six different class sets). Not as difficult as Divinity, but more time consuming.
- Masters of the Universe (master 8 set dungeons). This one isn't as hard as it seems, you just have to gather the easiest sets. Here's a great thread with all guides for the different set dungeons; note though that the ranking is subjective. It may be easier to collect 2 sets from 4 classes rather than 4 sets from 2 classes!
Haedrig's Gift
As expected - we go full cycle and every class gets the last remaining set that wasn't part of Haedrig's Gift yet.
- Barbarian – Immortal King’s Call
- Crusader – Seeker of the Light
- Demon Hunter – Natalya’s Vengeance
- Monk – Uliana’s Stratagem
- Witch Doctor – Spirit of Arachyr
- Wizard – Vyr’s Amazing Arcana
Before someone asks: none of those sets is the amazing end-game set for either class, but all of them will work on T6 (some better, some not as good). In any case it's a good starter set that allows you to farm your desired class set.

I am thinking about taking this route as well.
I see I am not alone in my 'lack of passion' for the cursed set dungeons. I took WD for S7 as hadn't played that class in over a year. Arachyr's set dungeon ranks as easy as Barb IK and Crusader Invoker (your opinion may differ though). WD no set was also very simple.
I also base the choice on 2 or possibly 3 of the conquests. S8 is a first for me to do all of them (with WD).
S5 I chose Wizard, ended up rolling a Crusader just to do the 45no set challenge and Invoker set dungeon. Just went for the stash and retired back to NS
S6 chose Barb and DH for the 350 kills at chest conquest. This season played out better, stayed right to the end
S7 chose WD based on comments for the set dungeon being easy. Found the whole journey was rather enjoyable, for the first time. In to the end as well.
S8 most likely will go WD just to ensure I get the final stash quickly. Not sure about after gaining the stash, NS chars need a lot of TLC
Each season I also created a HC char, just to play, not anything serious.
This being said, we do not know what (or if) equipment will be updated. Hoping not too much of a surprise.
Using the time from now until season 8 start to work on my NS toons a little. Then get my final stash tab in season 8, and back to NS. Augments have deterred me from enjoying seasons. So much so that I think augments and paragon have destroyed seasonal play and its validity. Paragon needs to be capped, and imo augments should be an era only feature. Make seasons about a quick push for ancient min/max gear and skill, why is time played the largest weight in the formula? -

Seasonal Sets
Season 5
Barbarian: Might of Earth
Crusader: Thorns of the Invoker
Demon Hunter: The Shadow’s Mantle
Monk: Monkey Kings Garb
Witch Doctor: Raiment of the Jade Harvester
Wizard: Firebird’s Finery
Season 6
Barbarian: Legacy of Raekor
Crusader: Armor of Akkhan
Demon Hunter: Embodiment of the Marauder
Monk: Inna’s Mantra
Witch Doctor: Zunimassa’s Haunt
Wizard: Delsere’s Magnum Opus
Season 7
Barbarian: Wrath of the Wastes
Crusader: Roland’s Legacy
Demon Hunter: Unhallowed Essence
Monk: Raiment of a Thousand Storms
Witch Doctor: Helltooth Harness
Wizard: Tal Rasha’s Elements
Season 8
Barbarian: Immortal Kings Call
Crusader: Seeker of the Light
Demon Hunter: Natalya’s Vengeance
Monk: Uliana’s Stratagem
Witch Doctor: Spirit of Arachyr
Wizard: Vyr’s Amazing Arcana
Immortal Kings Call is really good for solo rifts, support, speed farming and GR's, speed farming is done by introducing 3 Raekors w/ RoRG. You can also pair with Wastes if you want more versatility. IMK solo uses HoTA but is dependent on Furnace and Aquila, GR80 is about as high as you can go.
Seeker of the Light is really good for solo rifts and GR's, you have one of the highest survivability as well as a decent amount of damage to go with it. However this set doesn't really have much going for it past GR81, in order to even make this set work you need Furnace, ORoZ and Unity.
Natalya’s Vengeance is really for speed farming that's about it, Nat has the highest mobility in the game, you might be able to do a few GR's but not above GR86 you might be able to push for 90, you'll need CoE and Aquila.
Uliana’s Stratagem is for really for people that like to speed farm T13 bounties and solo rifts/gr's, highest GR is around 87 maybe 90...not really much support unless paired with Inna’s Mantra.
Vyr’s Amazing Arcana is really for people that like to solo content, do high GR's and run bounties, you can also pair it with Firebird (doesn't really need the Vyr's, can hold it's own without it) and Tal'Rasha (you need a mix of the set plus RoRG) you can reach up to GR110 with firebird, vyr's seems to only goto about GR97.
Spirit of Arachyr is really good with speed runs for bounties in T13 utilizing chickens and firebats called the angry chicken build. This set is also good for support roles, however highest GR is in the 50's area without help. -

MugsyAU posted a message on Season 8 'free' sets?Posted in: Diablo III General DiscussionQuote from BagstoneGenerally speaking, you have separate stages:
- Leveling 1-70
- Acquiring your first full set (the time before you get your third Haedrig's Gift)
- Farming (~100 ~T10 runs and ~GR50-60 to get all the keys+gem upgrades, bounties)
- Finishing the journey (conquests, solo GR)
I'd also include mastering the set dungeon. Sure, if could be put under 'Finishing the journey' but for most part, the objectives in the journey build on top of what's come before. The set dungeon is a whole different beast in itself and there's typically one set per class that has super easy set dungeon. Picking a class who's haedrig's gift is this set or is one of that class' viable GR pushing sets will mean you won't have to farm up one more set.
In S8, IMHO the best solo class for getting the stash tab is DH. Nats is the DH's easy set dungeon and with a few pieces of M6 with Nats, it's viable for GR pushing. One would still want UE for the speed rift clears though but you won't really need UE till Destroyer or Conqueror. It's the DHs ability to speed clear rifts as well as do the other requirements that sets it apart for solo.
In a team/clan environment, I'd add on Barb and WD. If you have other players to help you speed clear rifts, WD and Barb have Arachyr and IK which are another two easy set dungeons and both sets are end game viable for GR64 (IK with R6 at least... not sure how it does by itself these days).
For getting the stash tab asap, I wouldn't touch Monk, Wiz or Sader since their haedrig's gift requires very specific complimentary weapons and legendary items to be effective, severely limiting effectiveness to quickly jump to T10 farming. I've had some Monk players say they've gone 600+ paragons without seeing a Fist of Az.

I wouldn't base my S8 class chose solely on the starting set. It just enables you to farm T6+, but you can easily switch sets as you have to farm lots and lots of rifts for the season journey anyways. It's basically just a pointer to your start build for the first 5-10 hours depending on how lucky you are to find other sets.
Season 8 'free' sets:
Barb http://eu.battle.net/d3/en/item/immortal-kings-triumph
Crusader http://eu.battle.net/d3/en/item/crown-of-the-light
DH http://eu.battle.net/d3/en/item/natalyas-sight
Monk http://eu.battle.net/d3/en/item/ulianas-spirit
WD http://eu.battle.net/d3/en/item/arachyrs-visage
Wizz http://eu.battle.net/d3/en/item/vyrs-sightless-skull
Information from datamine
If that's true, wich one is the easiest and quickest way to get the stash tab? WD?
P.S.Sorry for my English.
Generally speaking, you have separate stages:
- Leveling 1-70
- Acquiring your first full set (the time before you get your third Haedrig's Gift)
- Farming (~100 ~T10 runs and ~GR50-60 to get all the keys+gem upgrades, bounties)
- Finishing the journey (conquests, solo GR)
In step 1+2, WD is absolute king - by far. However, that means you'll only get the full Haedrig 1-2 hours earlier than the other classes because in the end it's not what takes the most time.
Step 3 takes by far the most time, simply because of the amount of farming you need to do. Here you can switch to a different set. If you get lucky and get a UE set pretty fast, DH beats everything here (and I'm saying this as someone who really doesn't like DH).
Step 4 comes down to a mix of personal preference, experience, and skill. And this is where the lines become blurry because of the time spent in steps 3+4 combined, and it also depends on what we need to do for the season journey. Do you only want the stash tab? Then GR60 solo is the most you need to do; *every* class can easily do that without much difficulty. Do you want Guardian? Then the GR70 solo will be the most difficult thing, and some classes have it easier here (Invoker Crusader is a joke up to GR70 since you can stack toughness instead of CHD/CHC) but are at a disadvantage in other steps (Crusader is very slow in farming rifts in comparison).

The ONLY thing that is shared are available character slots, which is account wide (Non-season\Season\Hardcore\Softcore).

Custerian wristguard bracers (grant XP from picking up gold)
Highest leveled Gem of Ease you can manage to get - Insert into weapon
Level several GoE to lower all 13 pieces of gear to lvl1 equipable
Lvl 23 Cains
Lvl 70 Cains (use 2 from each)
Lvl 23 Borns chest and sword
Gold wrap belt lowered to lvl (through the GoE, practically invicible)
Highest available ruby to go into your helm
RoRG in the cube
Goldskin chest in the cube
Puzzle ring (to open the Vault)
Go in with +XP on the gear (if possible), you may get to 70 in 'as little as ' 1 vault. If all gear is lowered to be all usable on lvl 1 char, the stronger you will be so Torment levels are possible when starting out.

Nice guide compilation, great work. Will you be adding the set dungeon guides as you complete them?

- The Act 5 in Paths of the Drowned, Cursed Peat chest is the best for this conquest. It spawns mainly Boggets [sp] and have very low life so can spawn them very quickly.
- UE DH would be your best setup to get the conquest.
- Also, try in group.

For the stash, then back to NS.
One thing I do not understand is the seeming obsession with the cosmetic hoarding this season (haven't played NS so not sure what the momentum is over there).
Essentially, they do absolutely nothing however people seem to flock to them like they're the new found BiS item of all time. Sure, it's a new pet or transmog or whatever, add zip zero ziltch for making the game better. I have 4 pets now, why get more? Every single one you have does exactly the same thing (pick up gold). If one type gathers gold, another gathers globes, then of course get them all and use for your situation\needs of the moment. Couldn't care less about the wings or pennants, they are just in the way and distract (ie gold wings from pre order ROS). Portrait frame? Sure, show your level of completion in the season or if you bought OW, completed lvl 70 in old seasons or hit level 20 in HotS.
I think this sends a message to Blizz that crap content patches are awesome and no new real worthwhile additions are required if people will accept crap as the new best thing since sliced bread. I remember when Seasons was about getting new items ahead of NS, this was a great concept.....
Perhaps I am gravely mistaken however it's what I currently perceive.

Drahque,
For what it's worth, so many of us appreciate your guides and fully understand that you can only guess-timate like the rest of us not in the know of things at Blizzard. For the most part that I have seen, you are bang on with the skill trees and builds along the way. Sadly, some people do not see or understand the tremendous effort required to do all the background work and effort to write such terrific readable guides for the 99.99% of us that do not theorycraft or go to the extreme with non tested gear combinations. Even the newest player can look at your well thought out and presented guide and have an easier time with the journey to 70 and far beyond.
Literally, I would be lost without efforts of you and the many others that are generous enough to take the time from busy real life to create such elegant and easy to follow guides.
To you and so many others, there are legions of players that look forward to previews of whats to come and your tireless, uncompensated effort to keep us glued to the game.
I'm sure I am not alone to say THANKYOU for your time and effort to keep all of us on the edge of the chair, anxiously awaiting the announcement for end of season and the begin the wait for the start of the next.
