There's also a wiz helm that doubles the number of enemies electrocute can jump to. Should work well with that source.Posted in: Wizard: The Ancient Repositories

They stack at 10 but as far as I know the exp pool bonus is uncapped as its based on your current level exp needed to level. I've personally gotten past 1 billion bonus exp pool.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion

I have to agree with the OP. I've always been more of a solo player but since this patch I've played exclusively in 4 player groups with my clan. The exp gain is just so much more efficient. We are well syngerized so we breeze through T6. I can clear t6 myself at a pretty good pace but with a four player group the extra exp bonus and kill speed is just too good to pass up.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion

Nice idea by clones and blizzard. I had one of these on the PTR, light of grace, but dont have one now. I'd love to try it out.Posted in: Wizard: The Ancient Repositories

Looks like a fun interesting build. Ran heatwave on the PTR, but never tried the other runes.Posted in: Wizard: The Ancient Repositories

Bagstone is correct.Posted in: Wizard: The Ancient Repositories
Another area where I see people often dont take account in real damage output is how well they are able to spam high damage spenders. If you're only able to spam it say 50% of the time, then have to switch a low damage generator/signature spell, your damage output isnt really high compared to someone who can spam it close to 100% of the time even if you have higher paper dps. It seems obvious but im amazed at how many builds people showcase on here where they end up using their signature spell 60-70% of the time, and only through out a few high damage spenders.

Yep Arcane torrent is pretty damn amazing and will out damage blades and orbs easily. I run 10% reduction, -5 soj, 9 apoc and I can channel it forever.Posted in: Wizard: The Ancient Repositories
And yes, I have the same amulet and I run a total of 34% more arcane damage, and 26% more damage to Arcane Torrent.
Having said that, the wiz is probably the most diverse class right now and so many builds are effective. If that's whats working for you, thats great.

Doesnt look like a very efficient set up. To take advantage of the 4 piece set up you want to set your skills so that you can proc all 4 meteors with a single attack. Meaning you want to make sure your familiar / magic weapon/ and armor are applying a different element. I had 4 pieces on the PTR and I ran force weapon ignite(fire), familiar icicle (cold), storm armor (lightning), to go along with my main attack arcane torrent (arcane).Posted in: Wizard: The Ancient Repositories
Additionally with no apoc or reduction gear, you arent able to spam the high damage spells. Alternating between surge of power and orb is fine but being able to spam orb longer means more true damage output.

Hell with a well built, highly synergized group T6 is a breeze. I've been running T6 for exp with my clan and its very quick. Elite packs usually take us 10 seconds. Under optimal conditoins (blue pack, we have our cool downs off, they all get pulled in, they dont fear us, etc) takes us less than 5 seconds. We usually run 2 Wizards, 1 wd, and 1 Monk. You just need enough toughness (1 mil minimum I'd recommend) and a coordinated group thats well geared (and I dont mean just paper dps by well geared).Quote from Bagstone
In terms of just legendaries/hour probably yes. But there are many reasons to play higher Torment levels; e.g., if you're in a full group with four high DPS players even T2+ can feel like a breeze, so there's no reason to go T1. There might also be builds and setups that require mobs to stay alive for a bit longer (to make full use of debuffs). And then there's the increased gain in XP and money which makes it worthwhile to go to the "optimal" difficulty, which is where you can kill white mobs "almost instantly" (I feel the term one-shot is often abused) and kill elite packs in 10-15 seconds. Basically, if it feels to boring raise the difficulty. If you need 30 seconds for an average elite pack or die frequently, lower the difficulty.Quote from Punkskelm
Ok so ive done testing myself, playing high level is pointless playing t1 is the most effective way of getting legendary items.
