considering just optimizing your current gear and not care about gold efficiency AND maintaining the 4 set inna (and assuming you stay a FoT/thunderclap+cyclone monk), i would go for the following options:
i would rearrange your inna parts. get +150 vit on pants or 250ish vit on chest and get proper resist on the other parts - that would result in more hp and resist (and get 8% holy dmg on belt). also try to get a vit roll on boots and bracers. that in total will allow you to ditch the life% roll on the helm and get a +10% sweaping wind roll there.
then i would rearrange the lifesteal to the echoing fury and get a won khim lau as offhand with decent critdmgroll+socket and as close as possible to 25% increased lightning dmg.
sweaping wind roll and affixes from the WKL would boost your eDPS by alot.
your shoulders and gloves are very decent. tho ofc possibly to be upgraded with high budget items with better rolls
apart from that the obvious choices: get decent trifecta on all dmg slots. =P

Posted in: Monk: The Inner SanctuaryQuote from inkcheeseTwo simple questions.
Does reflected damage proc life steal?
Does the explosion from Explosive Palm proc life steal?
dmg your reflect via thorn affix on your gear gets accounted in your total dmg and provides LS healing.
dmg done to you via result as reflect from reflect dmg elite affix doesnt proc LS.
the explosion from EP does proc lifesteal.
tho against reflect dmg mobs EP can instagib you easy, because the lifesteal healing has a delay, RD doesnt. so you get gibbed, before the healing kicks on.

hey SolusCoda,Posted in: Monk: The Inner Sanctuary
the higher resist route might work.
about LTK: i didnt fully test out everything. my budget has its limits =)
the hand of ytar isnt instant. you first do the spinkick animation, then the dmg lands. against WDs and DHs you mostly only have splitseconds to get them finished, when they are out of their spirit walk or smokescreen etc and you barely know where exactly they gonna pop out.
as i tested it, i wasnt able to pull off the proper timing. tho i have zero attackspeed on my pvp set as my attackskills are all instant anyways.
but as said, i didnt test it fully out and didnt go all out into all specs and the gearing for it. so the costreduction should allow you to spam it more and maybe snip them off here and there.
i spirit starved too fast and lacked the aim to get them into the dust.
long story short: i am interested in your experiance then, when you tested it out =)
on another note:
i am recording some duelling for a more detailled view into the skills against certain classes 1v1 and FFA and how to handle certain classes with the spec/gear suggestions i did provide so far.

Greetings fellow Monks!Posted in: Monk: The Inner Sanctuary
i know, my 2 cents arent worth more than others', but i did talk a bit about skill- and gearchoices and recorded some pvp footage anyways.
in any case you are interested, then feel free to check out
currently there are 2 parts. a 3rd part is planned with longer and non-winmontaged pvp encounters.

part 8 is ready and uploadedPosted in: Monk: The Inner Sanctuary
its about some higher armor options you can go for as monk. going through the benefits and downsides of certain combinations and showcasing how certain combinations will work out on your statistics.
this part kinda concludes my "series".
hope the guide helps some of you to invest your gold in the way that suits you the most and to not get frustrated.
gl with your gearing. =)

well, maybePosted in: Monk: The Inner Sanctuary
would be an option for you (its kinda the endresult of what i suggested for you)
(tho i think my armory shows the wrong gear atm, so check the statscreen link there)

ye, rares were the way to go back then. now legendary dropchance got buffed and you can up your MF quite much with monsterpowers. so all in all legendaries dropped in price and its worth going for setpieces actually.Posted in: Monk: The Inner Sanctuary
stay off the natalya combo. either you got the BIG budget and jsut want to get top gear and overpay, or you get better stats for your bucks with proper rares or good standalone pieces.
in your case my shopping list would be:
- similar amulet with poison resist and possibly some bit
- blackthorne chest+pants with decent resists (will result in a dps loss probably to your current pieces, but gain alot of hp and resist)
- gained resist/hp on chest/pants will allow to drop all resist on gloves and get much better ones for lower budget
- switch weps to "black" weapons (min max dmg affixes instead of magic ones)
- get zunimassa boots.
overall huge EHP gain by resist+vit and dps gain from boots and better rolls on gloves

part 7d ready and uploadedPosted in: Monk: The Inner Sanctuary
its about some well working stat combinations when building a dualwield setup and an example scouting.
part 8 will be about mid-/endgame options for armor combinations with explaining and showcasing how the certain combos work out. so you will get a good idea what to aim for for your desired playstyle.
part 8 will probably complete the "series" then.

finally found some time to get another part done. 7c uploaded and readyPosted in: Monk: The Inner Sanctuary
its about the sustainstats and a compairsion of LoH and LS with suggestions what sustainsetup to pick.
will try to get a part about possible wep combinations for dualwielding done and want to get a part out about midgame and endgame armor combinations and how they work out.
