I'm trying to keep Taeguk up by spamming the 5 spirit cost Sweeping Wind that 3 piece Inna's provides. However, Sweeping Wind does not give me any stacks, or refresh my current stack when cast.
I would say yes. I don't feel gifts are that rare, and you have the option to roll %dmg, %as or life per hit, whatever you feel you need the most. Because of the low damage I would go for 1 of the damage modifiers, but having all your life regen on the weapon gives options to boost your dps on the other items.
I was leaning towards yes, but as for them being not that rare... perhaps you got lucky, or perhaps I've had bad luck with them. I haven't seen a single one in over 100 normal T6 rifts, and probably 60-70 25+ greater rifts.
The one I have now dropped for a friend I was helping, and he was nice enough to offer it to me
Yeah, thanks guys. That's what I was leaning towards after thinking more about it. Don't have gift yet, and first re-roll gave me a socket, so just using it like that until I get one
I certainly wouldnt reroll the life per spirit, thats a massive healing boost that you just cant get on any other piece. So that pretty much leaves Vitality as the only option to be rerolled, unless anyone else has any input?
Not the Life per Spirit eh? I suppose with Mantra spam, costing 50 spirit each that works out to be 38,500hp per mantra.
Not sure if that's reduced by difficulty like Life Steal in vanilla, haven't looked into it
Yes, short-time solution: Roll spirit gen to a socket and keep the dex. Although, as mentioned above, maybe it's not a good choice to waste a gift on the WKL to add the socket back later. Wait for a real badass weapon to drop. I myself use a OS and a SoH and the proc of the SoH does very nice damage. This is my profile:
Btw, you could give that TF to your templar follower. The proc works on him and it's a welcome damage boost. Yeah, I didn't necessarily mean to use the gift on WKL, just a general question to make sure I understood how it worked correctly. My follower is using an Azurawrath for the freeze chance, not sure if I'd prefer the Thunderfury damage or not
I didn't mean to use the gift on WKL necessarily, it was more a general question to make sure I understood how it worked correctly.
I'm using an Azurewrath on my Templar for the freeze effect, not sure if Thunderfury's damage would be better or not
I'd say roll with the OS and the WKL. The TF is ruled out by the str roll, you want weapons with dex and socket. I do not know about the fulminator, it's proc chance is quite high, maybe someone else can step in here. I'd either reroll the dex on the WKL to a higher dex or reroll the spirit gen to percent damage, then use a gift for the socket. Don't have a gift? Reroll the spirit gen to a socket. Given how rare the gift is, you might want to wait for a Shard of Hate to drop. The elemental damage on the WKL can roll up to 25, iirc.
Yeah, 25% is the max lightning damage roll on WKL.
I don't have any gifts to put a socket on an item, so I think I'll reroll the spirit regen to a socket. Then later, if I get some, I can roll the socket to %damage, and use the gift to add the socket back, right?
The Thunderfury was my Barbarian's, hence the strength roll that I can't change. The Won Khim Lau hasn't been rerolled at all yet, so either vit or spirit to a socket. Odyn Sun didn't come with Dex so had to be re-rolled, and finally, Fulminator, which I know isn't that good, but figured I'd include it.
What's the best combo overall, and what do you think are the best weapons I could use and/or re-roll?
mate you need to think for your self. now you replace almost all your life on hit, how does it feel in mp3? if you are still dying then you need to find the right balance or again as i said, playstyle, i zerg mp1 and 2 but i get punished for that on mp3. there is no magic number, people that said oh 500 all resist is fine so you go buy AH stuff and have 500 all res and can't survive, That sux!
Ppl said 1400 life on hit but i had only 1000 on me and it works after adjustment for me, i died a few times early on too so I add up AR till about 800 after shout and it works for me on my gear but its not necessary work for someone else unless we have exactly the same gear. gearing up is a thought process and takes time, not go to AH once and its done. Each gear is different and it adds up differently, thats why you need to try it out and adjust yourself accordingly. I am surprised you went all out lifesteal straight up and if that doesn't work for you than i really feel for you but its not the end of the world, play around with resist, armor, etc, even life on hit. go high then start reducing.
It's working fine, I tried MP10 just for fun, and was surprised when I didn't die, and could kill elite packs. It took way too long to be effective, so I need more DPS but other than that, I'm fine. MP4-5 is decently fast, though I still think MP1-2 is better for speed clearing and getting loot.
Okay, so I still feel a little lost as to what I should do for upgrading my weapons. Should I look to get one with around 950DPS, 100+str, life steal, and socket on my Mainhand? Forget going for crit on that weapon.
Then go 70+ crit damage % and a socket on my offhand?
while the vileward is decent enough, but how much did you pay for it? i have been monitoring the prices to replace my budget sub 200k shoulder but all i see is 2mil upward and it didn't gives much upgrade, like yours only gives me 30 more str/20vit/armor and 10 all resist, would i pay 2-4 mil for such a little upgrade? def not. While 2-3mil yellow shoulder gives me much better upgrade such as 50+ more str with more across the other stat. just out of curiosity how much did u pay for you IK chest and helm? 20-30mil each?
I did mention it in my second post, got lucky and only paid 4 million for the chest, was 1d, 12hs, guess someone put it up wrong. The helm only cost me 4.8 mil, there was quite a lot up with similar stats, and the same price range.
Shoulders... I have them for awhile and can't remember off the top of my head. I think I overpaid for them.
I'll consider what you said and take a look at weapons. Should I look at ones with Life Steal, or 500+ LoH?
Found a weapon on the AH for 6mil, 713.8 DPS,191 str, 126 vit, 820 LoH, 92% crit damage with a socket for 6399999 (6.3mil) worth it?
Also looked at some pants, all pants that have 80str, 150vit, 65+ all resist, and two sockets are 2.5mil or more. Picked up some decent-ish ones the other day for only 10K bid, which is what I'm wearing right now.
Indeed, I've always known that "farming" MP10 isn't worthwhile due to the clear speed. With optimal gear, clearing the lower MP's extremely quickly yields better results.
That's the sort of place I'd like to work my way up to, and hence why I said "Farming MP5" as in, quickly clearing it without problems. Obviously that won't happen instantly, and I'll need to spend time acquiring the proper gear for it.
I'm just a little lost on what I should focus on getting to raise me to that point. There's the 400mil items that are amazing, but I don't have the money for them. I'm looking for things that aren't crazy expensive, but will help me work my way to that point.
About the Vile Ward, I know that I could pick up yellow shoulders with about 220str/70vit/60resist all for about 100-300k but Vile Ward comes with high armor, 70+ resist all, and decent life per second. Having good armor value is also important, so I feel that picking up yellow shoulders like that may not be the best choice.
EDIT: Would it be worth picking up an IK belt? One with say... 180-200 str, 70-80 vit, 2.8 or higher life steal, 70+ resist all for 10-15mil? Is it worth it or will I just replace it rather quickly, wasting my gold?

Thank you - I thought I'd tried this last night, but I was really tired and did something wrong. This worked.

Any help as to why?
Sweeping Wind = 75 spirit
Inna's 3 piece is -70 spirit cost
Spirit cost = 5, so I'm still spending resource
Not gaining stacks

Not the greatest of rolls, I know, but I'm wondering what I should do with it.
Re-roll the damage, and use gift to add a socket
Re-roll the life per spirit into 10% damage and use gift to add a socket
or something else, if anyone sees a better idea.
Help is always appreciated

Picked it up pretty cheap as it was a sniped bid. No idea why my armory isn't updating, I've had it since yesterday.
Edit: Scrap that!
