Loved most of the ideas but seem too much for a single patch, but I'd like to have these solutions implemented in 2-3 consecutive patches.
The mystic idea is really appealing and it would benefit the economy by reducing the number of items in the AH.

I'm trying to equip the Scoundrel for two chars of mine. But I would like to know which setup is more effective for freezing/slowing mobs down and the math behind each option.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
1) Weapon (Bow/XBow) with Cold Damage?
2) Black Weapon (Bow/XBow) with Tal Rasha Amulet (Adds 6% to Cold Damage)?

Blizzard created such a knot that it is not easy to break.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
- Easy to get gear;
- No need to bartend with players;
- Way to create revenue other than grinding;
- Most gear found is obsolete, MF increased through PLvls making many more legendaries avaliable in AH, cutting their prices to whimsy amounts;
- Game progression is severly cut; With less than 1M it is possible to clear Inferno;
- It's more rewarding in terms of gold obtained to snipe good deals in AH and resell than actually play the game;
Don't know what is the best way to address this issue but Blizzard should:
- Make players do something else than Act3 farming (possibly fixed by 1.0.8 with Monster Density changes)
- Encourage players to actually play the game rather than AH farming;
- Provide new items which allows new builds that can be as efficient as the standard, cookie-cutter ones.
Whether this is done with or without AH, I am not sure.

Posted in: Barbarian: Bastion's KeepQuote from dexteriadewant to paragon grind - just go mp10 core and kill just packs of white monsters (crawlers) with rend (instead of warcry). 5-10 min per run more then 100 mil xp/h.
Want legendaryes? just go to the keep as well. 5-10 leg/hour just that 95% are brimstones.
just as usual, sprint, ww, rend - move to next pack.
This was more or less my previous tactic for grinding higher MPs, altought albeit different with HoTA + Rend and using a 2H Skorn (those 2M+ crits I get are pretty neat).
Quote from ias13What RasAlgethi is saying is correct.
To put some things into perspective ur items lack ias but have cd, the result u get is u hit less frequently but ur crits hit relatively harder, so u 1shot mobs hence u cant regen much fury. What u ideally want would be to hit/crit mobs more often but not as hard.
Just a tip, 7.5 breakpoint or higher (in wotb state) is good enough but u need to keep ur crit high as well, ie. dont skip crit for the sake of ias.
As u desribe ur goal bulk: ie. high xp/hr, dexteriade is spot on on the tactic (dont think rend would work so well with 1-handers), the tactic he describes is basically go with some specific higher mplvl (not necessarily mp10) in which u mown down white mobs and just do that (ie. kill only white mobs and skip elites altogether). If ur going down this route then there would be a substantial benefit to get proper rings that add dps as to allow u to quickly kill white mobs.

Thanks for the insight. It is the probably the reason I feel much more powerful playing HoTA as I do insane dmg per hit.

Posted in: Barbarian: Bastion's KeepQuote from RasAlgethi24For keeping wrath up, whenever you're whirling through a big pack, spam the WW button. You dont want to be at full fury because if you're not gaining fury, you're not adding duration to wrath. And yes get to 24% ms, I can't live with that.
Your weapon speed is fine. Your problem is you don't have any IAS anywhere.
Use a damage calc to see the WW breakpoints. Obviously higher breakpoints means higher fury regen and thus easier to keep wrath up.
With an EF and sword off hand I'm at 7.5mh,8.57oh breakpoints, with wrath 8.57mh, 10oh. I have no trouble keeping wrath up the entire time.
I've been hitting WW and even Sprint and Battle Rage to avoid being at full rage. I'm being cautious in that regard.
I'm at 5,45 MH and 6 OH (no WOTB) breakpoints. That is quite a considerable difference. You must be full of IAS as in my case I need 37% (!) of IAS to reach the 7.5 breakpoint for the MH (I have and EF with 0.24 at that slot). Will try to get to higher breakpoints.
Quote from phuzi0nYou didn't say how low you're trying to farm but you can't go too low relative to your dps or else you will 1 shot everything and never generate any fury. You need white mobs to live through most of your tornado ticks to have any chance of keeping WotB up for long.
MP1-3. Higher the MP, higher the WoTB uptime I get. In MP5 or higher I can maintain WoTB for the whole cooldown most of the time, you are right, lower MPs I just plow through with no chance to generate enough fury. I do not like going higher than MP3 because some elites take too much time to defeat making the paragon grind less effective (mobs that run away frequently especially).

Posted in: Barbarian: Bastion's KeepQuote from MrBlaineIs there really nothing else to discuss in this game anymore?
What you are asking people to tell you, is what the game is about...
Guess the game is really dead, even tho I never admitted.
Thank you for a rant full of nothing.

Hi!Posted in: Barbarian: Bastion's Keep
This is my profile: http://eu.battle.net/d3/en/profile/Bulk-2568/hero/1817479
Currently I am not able to keep WoTB in lower MPs, and would like to improve in that regard. For that reason, and since I am not MS capped (in the 24%) I've been recently looking into those 9%ias/6%cc Lacuni Prowlers with Str and VIt to improve in that regard but have not found a decent deal so far. Innas Pants to consider as well?
What about weapon setup? Would a change in off-hand (dagger for example) be able to increase WoTB uptime significantly? Any decent setup with EF as an offhand to sustain WoTB? (That fear proc is slightly annoying albeit having a 10% one). Where is recommended to slot the EF?
Rings are untouchable ATM since I am in paragon grind.
I am open to any suggestions, in order to improve the grind efficiency with the budget available. Thank you in advance.

Nice vid, but I would consider The Grand Vizier in the top 3 for Enchantress as well. A minimum of +41% MF and GF are very good to ignore, it's my weapon of choice while I am still not at the MF cap.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
