    How so? I like it.

So does everyone who plays it. It's OP as fuck. That's not necessarily a bad thing, in fact I find it echoes back to pre-ROS where the best builds were barb/monk/wizard who could just keep rolling and never have to stop. It has a certain nostalgic charm.

The problem comes in a group where the Wastes set spawns so many whirlwinds that it literally clogs the entire map with them. But the barb playing it doesn't notice because they're constantly running and the whirlwinds spawn behind them off-screen. Something needs to be visually done about it. Perhaps not mechanically, but visually... it needs toned the fuck down. My hope was that by having employees of blizzard forced to deal with seeing nothing but whirlwinds it would spur some change in the set/rune visuals to clog the screen less.

posted a message on New Pylon idea - Rune Pylon
    Quote from Shapookyago-next

    Quote from ruksakgo-next

My new pylon idea is to get rid of all the pylons. I find them to be silly arcade fodder, reminiscent of Super Mario Flower Power-ups. Do not like.

    This.

If you want more pylons (I'm in for the fun), remove all pylons from Grift and put it all in normal rifts. T6 is a joke as it is, adding some fun things doesn't change any of that.

But any additional RNG in Grifts is bad.

    It's the other way round:

No RNG is bad. Nobody cares for leaderboards except that handful people. The game should be "as most fun as possible" in the first place. That's the most important thing. Taking fun away so that you can compare yourself better is no option.

And the entire and sole point of Grifts is leaderboards, so remove pylons.

Pain Enhancer is what gives you IAS for bleeding mobs in range. Enforcer is a damage boost for minions.

Except wizards don't cause bleeds. And if "burning" counts as a bleed that's retarded semantically.

Also, doesn't Zei care about your location relative to the mob, rather than the spell's location? Otherwise you'd constantly be doing no bonus damage because the spell has to hit the mob.

Good. Let them know how obnoxious the new Wastes build is. Make them hate it, and it will get changed next patch.

posted a message on Metilicolous belt - Lower speed of travel ball lighting = better?
    Quote from SirioTVgo-next

If you mean Meticulous Bolts, yea it's true lower is better..... just read what the skill does and you will understand

    Elemental Arrow skill:

Ball Lightning: Shoot a ball of lightning that electrocutes enemies along its path for 300% weapon damage as Lightning.

So if the ball electrocutes enemies along it's path, that means if the ball is slower you do more damage.

This is true. A DH with ball lightning actually loves to find a missile damping mob. It slows down ball lightning to almost nothing, so the lightning constantly zaps them without moving. The Act 2 keywarden literally signs its own death warrant against a DH... even a massively undergeared one can ruin it.

It's much less funny in HC. I see so many people RIP because they're too busy being blinded by barb tornadoes to move out of the fire.

posted a message on This game has far too many movement impairing effects

Blizzard could come out with a ring that makes you immune to all cc.... I bet none of you would wear it.

Because that wretched fucking Ring of Royal Grandeur is mandatory for most builds. They should just make sets require one less piece for bonuses and remove that thing forever. In fact, let's redesign the RORG also - its legendary affix rolls with immunity to a random CC type (so it's not overpowered).

    Quote from Limdulgo-next

Considering how you have to keep your 150% dmg stacks up anyway and the cooldown on the meteors is quite small. Is it really worth delaying your arcane spells? Isn't it best to just spam stuff on cooldown.

More or less. Each damage type has a 8 second ICD for a meteor drop, so when you see the arcane one fall, you can blow all your AP and then let it tick up just before the next by keeping track of the seconds in your head. That way, you've got high AP for the arcane, but aren't wasting it otherwise.

posted a message on Trial system - no more! Choose the GR level you want instead.
    Quote from rebjorngo-next
I really think that the "Realm of Trials" was something that was just thrown in there to allow for *some* way to determine player eligibility. If I know Blizzard right, the current system **is** something they would like to adjust a little bit. There's a lot of room for improvement, that's for sure.

Many players are sitting on **hundreds** of trial keys. I'm not one of those - but I can see how this is a real hassle that could have been avoided from a design point of view. I know there's been a lot of suggestions and probably even something similar to this, there could be other solutions, I just wanted to throw this one out there anyway.
It definitely punishes HC players unnecessarily. In SC, you can just go until you die. in HC you have to bitch out about 10 levels below what you can handle... and then slowly grind your way up the rifts, instead of being able to jump in at a challenging level to start with. And that's 90% of the reason I almost never run Grifts. The other 10% is having to run a trial every time I want to upgrade a gem. SUCH BULLSHIT. MUCH BORING. WOW.

I think a possible compromise would be to make numbered greater rift stones permanent - that is, not consumed upon entering a rift. So, if you have a lvl 20 stone, you can do any lvl 1-20 rift, but to do higher you need to upgrade your stone, and so on. Would take up less inventory space, too.

You can't trade legendary items anymore, because Blizzard doesn't like people actually getting gear.

posted a message on How much CDR needed for near perma Akarats Champion?
Gain 6p Akkhan. Get 30-40% CDR. Asheara's set is basically for the lulz, and Blackthorne is what you use when you have nothing better.

Grab shoulders/chest/helm andbracers from Aughild and 5p Akkhan with a RoRG and you'll be better off, even in HC.

posted a message on Gambling with Kadala in 2.0.5, can anyone confirm Earthquake set?
    Quote from tendollarbanana

Thanks to Rift it Forward and a lot of free time I've dropped roughly 20k shards into Kadala on pants since they added torment legendaries. I've gotten a lot (11) pairs of Raekor's pants and infinite Blackthrones, Depth Diggers and Hammer Jammers. Has anyone gotten these pants since the patch? I don't have a problem with them being hard to get, but I do have a problem with them not being possible to get so I can spend my shards on something else (was also hoping to get some Mr. Yan's pants, but haven't seen anything besides those 4 I listed).

Edit: misread. What pants are you even trying to get? You don't say.
