Oh wow, that's even weirder. It doesn't allow you to do it on US server. What the hell.

You'd be surprised imo, having tons of dead bodies all around you as you kill more monsters making them pile up is definitely something that makes it even more enjoyable.

It's still random until you find them though.

Well from what I've seen on PoE it stays a lot longer. Maybe not permanently, but at least until you leave the area or something.

I think it would make the game look even more amazing than it already is. If they made corpses stay on the ground after death it would be cool to have the battlefield with tons of dead monsters. Right now monster corpses despawn after a couple of seconds. In PoE I think they stay there forever or at least for a long time, I'm not sure, I don't play it, but yeah, that's the one thing I like about PoE and I think Diablo should consider adding that.

No the marker is only when players are engaging them. I am talking about a marker for the actual elites so you can see them on the map not just the players that are engaging them. And the marker wouldn't be there if you haven't engaged them yet. It only appears once you've found them, so you don't lose them or forget about them which happens on occasion which is the issue I'm trying to address.

And I'm pretty sure the game is largely about killing elites so how would marking them be an issue? It's more of a convenience than anything. Maybe you are thinking a marker as in an arrow directing you to kill it, I mean a marker as in an icon that displays the elite, like bosses have their icon on the minimap. You are not saying that there is a problem with the marker on bosses are you?

posted a message on Please Add Elite Markers On Minimap
I think there would be a variety of good reasons to add a marker for elites on our minimap once we find them. Either it always showing where it is even when it moves or only show where we last saw it; as it shouldn't wander off if it loses track of the player.

It'd be very nice because we always want to kill the elite while white monsters are more optional. And also sometimes it's a tactical reason we want to leave it be for the time being, especially if they ramp up the difficulty in the expansion, you might want to clear mobs first or something before going back to it; but if you run away currently, you have to remember where it was, and sometimes it's a hassle if you forget and you have to rerun through empty areas of the map before finding it.

And much like the alert when you find an elite, it would be nice to not only see when a player is engaging an elite but once you find it, the location of it.

Another example of a good reason is when you are doing speedruns or gathering large mobs of monsters to kill them all at once. If you run too fast you leave a lot of monsters behind, and sometimes the elites get left behind as well, like before, it's a hassle having to go back and look for them. A lot of times when that happens players will completely forget about the elites and never kill them.

I personally think there should be more stuff going on on the map. It's awfully empty the only thing it's useful for right now are legendaries, clearing the map, dungeon markers and bosses. I think another addition that would fit well would be elite markers.

And I think it's especially helpful because then a lot more players wouldn't miss elites if they lose them. It would make sure that all elites found are killed.

Also, sometimes one of the elites of the pack isn't killed because the rest of them were pulled, then people are left wondering why they didn't get loot when they killed the last elite they could see, only to realize or never realize that there is one more left somewhere. Once again making them have to look for them again.

What do you think? Is there any reason they shouldn't be marked once you find them?

Potion binded on Mousewheeldown ftw. Movement with W is perfect for players that have played WASD games.

That's what I said. Skill doesn't matter, but it does help, if two people with identical gear were pitted against each other. It's most useful to use move command, I'm glad you knew as well. That's great. But I never bragged, I just said that it's better to be skillful because it does matter when you play, especially as a DH, where positioning and evasive maneuverability matters.

The thing is your gear shouldn't determine how good you are, how often you die and the amount you level/time you play shows how fast you progress therefore how skilled you are at playing, and also, of course, anyone can suck at the game and either get lucky and find a super good drop and become rich or simply be rich in real life and buy the gold and be "good".

All I can say is I have around 170 hours playtime on my DH with level 61 paragon. My DPS is only 100k, but I make the best out of that dps as well as be as efficient as I can be by using move command. Also, I have theoretically, the currently best gear set your can have, which is widely known. I focus on crucial DH stats like Max Disp, CC, CD, AR, Vit, LRegen, HatredRegen. So aside from what I'm claiming to be the best way to play, I also am decently knowledgeable of the current DH methods.

Like I said before, you may have super high dps and super crazy gear, but that doesn't make you good in a skillful way in terms of when you are in the actual game playing. In fact, the better your gear, probably the less skillful you need to be, cause everything just dies faster. All it means is that you are good at managing your character, either cause you were lucky or you found some very nice way to profit through the AH, etc... as a good DH, you could still not be very good at the AH, and the same vice versa.

Anyway, I'm not saying I'm some big shot DH that knows better than any other DH and that everyone should do what I say, but I'm just suggesting, and trying to show that compared to the commonly used method of click-moving, that it's actually more effective to use move command and people that want to have an easier, funner time playing DH, to try it out.

I want to post my DH but I can't post links yet.

It's nothing special, but with the relative playtime, and no special luck or RMAH, I think I got a pretty good set. And once more, I think due to the way I play, I can level just as fast or even faster than other people with better gear than me, certainly making the best use of the gear I have.

What I've tried to point out as well is that, two people with identical gear, the one using move command would have an easier time, be more effective and play faster, just by a slight amount, but it adds up.
