I don't think "Now only drops for Wizards" means what everyone seems to think it means.
I think it means the item will now roll as a Wizard-only item. It would boggle my mind if it actually meant the other 5 characters could not stumble upon a Wizardspike. My 2 cents.

I don't mind paying for sizable content or the option to buy cosmetics. Stash tabs/character slots are a grey-area thing for me.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
If they sell gold/crafting mats/gems or anything else that leads to a direct shortcut or advantage, I will petition for the return of the AH.

Ive been messing around with it for the last couple of days and I've come to the conclusion that it doesn't add to the size of an AoE (such as Bola Shot). As others have mentioned, it seems to be a flat 10 yards, regardless of skill, emanating from your primary target/point of impact.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
I can't say for sure but it really doesn't seem to proc anything (CC, Cyclones, Bloodshed, Nightstalker etc). I would adore whomsoever could definitively confirm or deny this suspicion. Someone mentioned SD allowing Glacial Spike to proc in an AoE, but it already does so in absence of SD.

I started a new Wiz last night on Master and equipped a Hellfire ring for the ride. I didn't full-clear anything but I went in dungeons and tried to take the longest routes possible without putting myself in a position to backtrack. I hit level 60 in the area directly before Diablo, and when I killed him, he did not drop a legendary for me. I was approx 56 for the Azmo fight, so my hypothesis is this:Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
Kill them before 60 and you'll prob get the legendaries. In RoS I'd assume the magic number will change to 70 but I don't know.
Just my 2 cents.

One thing I would do (unless you're playing HC) is drop Unstable Anomaly forever. You can get so much more out of that passive slot! If you really need defense there, you'll get more mileage out of the new-and-improved Blur.Posted in: Wizard: The Ancient Repositories

The new pieces are not interchangeable with the old pieces. You only get the set bonuses by stacking either the new pieces or old ones, not together.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
I'd be surprised if they don't change the set names to add clarity (as they did when they revised legendaries the first time around).

I always thought a system of augments would be the best item sink for D3, and would improve the AH experience dramatically.
Imagine if the requirement to augment actually took a while to meet (kill 100 elites, collect 5m gold etc) and then rolled the random affix(es) of the item and bound it to your character.
Buying things on AH would be like buying UNID's now, except "safe", and you'd be able to get most of what you needed on an item at a good cost. Then, put in a little work to see if you have to go back to the AH.
On-topic, this sort of system would work even with these epics (and in absence of AH). Hell, it'd even allow the devs to tune droprates higher if they made the Augment rolls unenchantable!

The only way to get any attention on those forums (at least US) is to be a sensationalist asshat. Maybe try changing your topic to "BLIZZ I BET YOU WON'T DO THIS!!!"Quote from TommyDe
Thank you! I've already reposted the idea on both US and EU forums but unfortunetly they haven't drew too much attention.Quote from TheMasterpiecer
I see no holes in this idea. It's awesome, as is the visual you produced. I see influence from other games applied in a way that actually makes sense for D3 and adds depth in a really welcome way. If you haven't already, you should present this on the official forums as well!
I read these forums regularly but seldom feel compelled to post. Well done, sir.
What other games do you mean? StarCraft? Yeah, it's there. The flavour text is actually a paraphrase of a Dark Templar's quote. I think it would be a nice touch to put more easter-eggy stuff like that in the game. Like a dagger that looks like a severed Hydralisk's claw, like the one Zeratul used in "The Prophecy" cinematic.
I can't think of any games of the top of my head but I've played a couple that had mixed-stat requirements (maybe Torchlight 2 had this? It's been a while since I played it.) Also I've played a couple of online games that had a new tier of items introduced with a patch or expansion, so this would be awesome in that regard.
