for rares, pick up gloves, rings, amulets and one handed weapons, ignore everything else.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
and ignore all instant brimstone legendarys. not having to visit the vendor so often is a huge time saver.

2.4% ls and 135k dps and you do fairly well? Is that in a group? I somewhat doubt it's solo.
I'm sorta in the same boat as Zuchi, can do MP10 but I prefer 8 due to speed/efficiency.
im sorry but what monk are you looking at? 200k dps and over 5% LS

While I don't agree with the OP, I need to mention something on this; WoW is the top MMO, it's EXTREMELY successful. Blizzard has taken elements of WoW (which with some features they got from other games) and put them into D3 / SC2, ect. I'm not sure what the actual fear is - even though D3 doesn't have a subscription, if they are willing to put the time in and develop tweaked systems that might be similar to their other around-the-world successful games, then by all means, please!
You guys really need to stop fearing.... whatever it is that you fear. I don't even actually know what it is that you're afraid of. D3 becoming more popular?
for me it is simple, i hated wow. couldn´t stand playing it.
i do how ever love diablo. and action rpg´s in general. so whenever someone wants to put elements from wow into diablo my red flags go up.
and tbh wow isn´t the game diablo devs should be looking to for inspiration, its path of exile, which they seem to be doing thankfully.

please can all the wow players stop taking out their boredom of wow on diablo.
don´t try and make diablo your next wow, just wait for titan and leave diablo alone!

Moving away from having cc, cd and ias trifecta pieces being the only good option in many slots isn´t a bad thing, this change does come with its own set of problems however.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
if you noticed on the new ilvl 70 weapons that the critdmg amounts seemed abit low, now im hoping that this has since changed and they intend to keep the current critdmg, cc and ias numbers on items and just implemented the cap.
if they do however go with both we will just be in a situation where we will roughly need the same amount of cc,cd and ias items to achieve the cap. meaning that weapon damage will be far more important than it currently is (which basically means, you don´t find a good weapon, you are screwed no matter how good the rest of your gear is).
now this is just me guessing on worst case scenarios for the sake of it. they may very well just be trying out adding a cap rather then nerfing the stat values on items, making it ok to have bracers without cirt, if you get some other nice stats on them instead.
and maybe we will see a wider use of % elemental stats on items as well.

Posted in: Barbarian: Bastion's KeepQuote from ChaosCodeIts how I was able to do it.
I found a ledg hammer 1h that had 18 levels reduced on it. A socket and 200 str and the dps was like 1300. I sold it for 2b gold.
yeah but tbh i think only a very very small portion of the player base has ever sold an item for that much.
most of us get our gear the way i did it, over a very long time from selling alot of lesser items.
or flipping items on the ah.

Posted in: Barbarian: Bastion's KeepQuote from ChaosCodeThis is going to cost you more than 3m gold. My advice is to farm until you find that one item that will sell for 2b gold and then gear up.
that advice is kinda cruel 2k+ hours played and ive never found an item even close to that

- Most people who like ladder want additional incentives such as ladder-only gear.
Put me in this camp, though special items are not the reason, why I want a ladder system. I want this reset every now and then. Sure, I could start fresh on my own whenever I feel like it, but it's more fun, when everybody starts fresh at the same time.
On a side note, has anyone wondered, how they'll deal with character slots? I mean, they have to be stored somewhere and if I create 12 (assuming that's the new cap) characters in season 2, what would happen to my season 1 chars?
And please Blizzard, for all that is good, don't just reset parts of the game, like for example p-exp. That'd be lame beyond belief ;)
I am actually wondering if they are going to add microtransactions for character slots and even stash space. With the removal of the AH and the addition of transmog. I can see them going to microtransactions. Besides it's a successful business model on its own and good for everyone provided you can't buy power. (pay-2-win)
don´t think so, usually that sort of thing is frowned on outside of f2p games.
i mean when you pay 40-50 euro for a game you expect to get the whole thing.
the rmah was sketchy enough as it is.
i mean ive got my 10 slots used up, when i get the expansion i don´t want to have to start deleting chars just to play ladder.
