They do not proc goldskin, or if they do, it's such a vanishingly low chance as to be indistinguishable.

posted a message on Carnevil mask bug
It seems that Fetishes have 3 attacks: melee, dart, and flamey thing. The rune of Fetish Army can let you select which they use, and Carnevil seems to override that.

I.e., your fetishes behave like you're using the Head Hunter FA rune when you use your dart, and that's where the 130% comes from.

Just a guess, but seems likely.

posted a message on Which Gems for Pet Doc and Jade doc?
    Quote from SpicyMeatball
I'm playing Grin Reaper at the moment but without Simplicity Strenght. I think it does enhance the damage of the mimics because they do a % damage of what you do.
Just tested, Simplicity's Strength does not affect Grin Reaper mimics.

Poison Dart: Splinters without MH/OH/etc. (to reduce damage range)
Mimic splinters with and without SS gem: 8647 non-crit

Pretty clear that it doesn't, sadly.

Good news is, they do benefit just fine from Zei's Stone of Vengeance (+X% for every 10 yards), based on their distance to the enemy, not yours. (Like other pets)

posted a message on Gargantua Hitting - 80% less?
I think it was in the big pet thread on official US WD forums that I saw garg's 'snapshot' mechanic mentioned.

Depending on how exactly that snapshot was taken (e.g. was suggested that your aspd was factored in when calculating garg 'weapon damage'), it's not hard to see why BBV'd gargs seem puny by comparison now.

e.g. suppose snapshot captured the BBV double-dip for both aspd and damage: 1.3 * 1.3 * 1.2 * 1.2. That's already 2.4x. It's also been suggested that garg had a bug where it incorporated your aspd into your weapon damage (rather than just taking weapon damage and using your aspd *as* aspd) - that could be another 30-50%.

Rough hand-wavy numbers, but just to give an idea where that magnitude of an effect could come from. Track down that pet mechanics thread if you want more info.

Definitely a sad change - wrathful protector used to be a pretty fun button to hit. Now... less so.

posted a message on 10 Auctions cap still needed?
The cap is partially Blizzard's way of throttling item inflation. The larger the cap, the more that the highest-performing players dictate the values in the AH.

If you're finding items fast enough that nothing you have in the AH is under 20 mil, then you're probably vendoring a ton of items that could actually sell for several million, simply because you can't sell. Or, you might have a second or third account, or be using lots of mules, etc.

If the cap is raised, your top items sell faster (if it's in your stash, there's no chance it will sell). As a result of this, you sell further down your list, meaning that you put even more downward pressure on AH prices.

The cap doesn't have much of an effect on players who are slower or play less, because maybe you're only finding 2-3 items/day that you think are worth selling.

I think the cap is fine. I think it would be interesting to make it a bit more flexible, though I'm not sure what the right system would be. Perhaps an "overflow listings" tab where you can list another 5-10 things but the cut is even worse so you only get 75% of the proceeds.
