As many of you know there is an Exp run going about that gives upwards of 120M-170M Exp per hour, by running Keep Depths 2 or Arreat Crater 2. Many people are talking about it, but few are explaining it well.
I have a 3 part series on the run, which I do daily on my Barb. For those of you new to it, the first part is below. The second part gives tips for surviving the run and doing it better, and the third will be up tonight, and it gives a detailed build guide on the run. Enjoy, and let me know if you have any questions.
I had a really interesting experience with this new patch 1.0.7. Having been highly critical of it and the direction the game was going in, I have not stopped playing D3 since the patch, find out why here:
I think the community has already beat the negative horse to death. As someone on these forums reminded me, it would be good to see some positive. I agree 100%.
I love:
- Graphics/Environmental details - like Act 3 Siege breaker from the battlements
- The tiny details on spell effects, like energy armor
- The awesome detail of the Act 1 ferryman holding his shiny lamp on the dock
- The spinning wheels of the broken carts in Act 2 Fields of Slaughter
- The Audio is amazing, with outstanding sound effects.
- The physics engine is out of control good - skeletons flying across the screen as you smash them with HOTA
- The combat engine is amazing. The game has the best combat engine I have ever seen in any ARPG or even in most MMO
- Foundation - I think the game is an amazing foundation from which to build an awesome game. Add more systems and support that foundation.
- I think we as a community should allow Blizzard to move away from the shadow of Diablo 1 and 2 and become its own game, and let's see what it can become.
- Dueling is not really PvP proper, but it is a move in the right direction.
- The PvP blog is an attempt at community interaction and should be rewarded with some trust and positive hope.
Those are the basics, if you want the detail, please check out the video. There will be some collaboration on the channel and Diablo Expressions website in the near future (read next week), so stay tuned for that also.
I wanted to share with you the latest episode of The State of Diablo 3, "Positive Things."
I wanted to take the time to explore some of the positive side of Diablo 3, as the negative has been clearly defined. I am joined today by the owner/operator of Diablo Expressions website, Dred.
This episode focuses on the ideas Sibcoe and Ken have for improving the game experience and content, and we hope you enjoy it. Let us know here on these forums, and in the channel, what you guys think needs improving the most.
Your mother's recipe for pasta sauce is going to be slammed on the internet by me because, even though it's not my recipe, nor did I create it or have the right to call it mine, I somehow feel entitled because I bought some and now I should have a say in how it's made.
And generally, if momma wants to sell more pasta sauce in the future, she should listen Cheers 0/
It's crap. All I could stand to listen to was the first half ... & it was all negative. I heard not 1 single positive thing about D3 in that part not anything constructive to help my play the game. Whoever was in that video kept comparing D3 to Torchlight 2 (whatever that is). So tell me this: Why is everything so negative about this game? I have a few things I'd like to change, but for me I have a blast (playing Barb para LVL 60 currently). If all these people are so negative about the game why do they bother playing so much then slamming it? If I dislike a game so much as these people do (just going by their comment about how much better other games are) I wouldn't bother playing more than an hour or 2. I would really love to see & hear CONSTRUCTIVE comments & videos ... not crap comparisons to another game. Nuf said.
Hi BornBadd - it sounds like you didn't like it - so sad Thanks for watching the first half though. One thing to keep in mind - it is a state of the game, not a game guide. I do hope you check out some of the guides and enjoy those, and if not, hey, maybe watch the first half of the next one too.
