posted a message on The fastest paragon points changer EU

    Quote from sarkoziggo-next

The best thing you can do is ignore them, the "professionals", and enjoy the game, compete with your friends, click the paragon points one by one if you prefer.

They always use bot, turbohud, 3rd party script, whatever to call everyones attention. Don't you think for a second after a possible ban will stop them cheating...

The thing is that even if they cheat it wont affect to casual players. It affects people who wants to reach they very highest positions at the leaderboard. Even if they stop botting, they still would be at one of the top 50 players at europe for sure, but positions might change between being the top 1 to be at top 30 because you arent botting. This happens to me for example when i started the season, after the first month i reached the top 4 solo wizard at europe. Right now just needed to stop playing because of IRL stuff but even with that i still can reach easily a rank 20 without cheating, but not much higher because most of the rest are cheating.

No offence but even if they bot or cheat in your face it wont affect to people who plays the first week of every season. Because everyone knows Blackbird its a botter and it means nothing if he uses a macro for paragon levels, thats not the point and much less important than other stuff

Actually i disagree with you simply because they will be affecting the statistics blizzard use to assign drop values of gear meaning gear with to low numbers for casuals will stay at those low numbers because the cheaters drop them in large enough numbers to make the amount look okay unless you look at per character/account numbers.

posted a message on Useless stuff all over the place.

You really wonder if there just isn't a QA department, or if they are completely incompetent, and also if designers are unable to use a spreadsheet to model this stuff. They spend so much time adding new items with new features, and some of those items have no prayer of making any real impact to gameplay because the damage is sometimes order of magnitudes lower than meta damages. They are just wasting their time coming up with some of those items in the first place.

at 2813729380 combinations thats a pretty big spreadsheet and thats just wd:s primary skil combinations. Add in passives and the number grows a bit more

Or peeps just play on one PC all day taking turns. Technically not account sharing since it is played on one machine, so...

But yeah, bot is more likely.

Of course its still account sharing since account sharing has nothing to do with the computer and all to do with the user and account.

That is a horrible analogy, cars models cost different prices and are built for different things. A better car analogy would be if we both bought Z4s and yours randomly came with civic engine despite costing the same price.

How does car models being built for different things make it a horrible analogy? Its the perfect analogy - Diablo classes are designed with different playstyles in mind, Int, Str and Dex all have diff playstyles while the classes sharing those base stats also play differently.
Cost on the otherhand is a different matter, feel free to enlighten me further as to how it even enters into this discussion not to mention influence the analogy.
Finally my copy of diablo has exactly the same content as your copy of diablo so if mine came with a civic engine so did yours? whats your point?
Blizzard never sold you a copy of diablo with 6 classes that perform exactly the same or what would be the point of having 6 classes?
It must take a really special way of thinking to buy a game with diverse content to enjoy, only to then be offended by part of it
So you are disputing that the point of all classes aren't to kill things? A better car anology would be one that looks at cars in a less locked car racing class because those cars takes different approaches to reach the same endgoal but it would undermine your point since teams of a make that is behind will go back to the manufacturer to get better performance in the lacking aspect.

posted a message on Time to buff solo??

A Conceptually easy improvment for sub-4 groups would be giving the followers all slots and in at least rifts give the option to use all followers. It's probably not as easy in practice and increases balancing issues. Personally i would be satisfied with them removing the group buff which they might already have done.

posted a message on Will ever be PvP in this game ?
    Quote from rotfeastgo-next

I hear you... and I agree with some points you've made. To me it seems like they've tried too hard to implement PvP as a specific activity (Brawling) in what is absolutely an adventure/dungeon-crawl based game. That's the real problem.

Let it be an ARPG, just add the hostile option and tweak the damage specs for PvP combat when it occurs. There's no need for the full-blown arena style PvP element that has obviously gripped the interest of very few D3 players.

You may be right... It may be time to accept that PvP will never be a part of this game and move on, but I do believe that if they actually got it right, players would be excited about it.

...And as the saying goes, you can never have too much of a good thing! BLIZZARD - add Hostile button!!!! XDXDXDXD Let me collect ears again!

They have spent most of wow:s lifetime trying to get it right and never getting all the way there so what makes you think they would have better luck i diablo?

    Quote from Qqfuzzgo-next

I felt like I had to create an account just to reply to this thread. No cap on paragon, no diminishing returns on paragon!!!!!!! I don't get to play this game all that often. I don't bot, I don't give a damn about leaderboards. It did take me a very long time to reach paragon 1,000 because I'm only able to play solo due to having a 1 year old that could wake up at anytime. I actually enjoy the grind for paragon because 5 main stat is worth the grind. To give us 2 main stat after 1k paragon or totally taking away the points after 2k makes it completely pointless to play after that point, for me at least, because there becomes no progression! Progression is what makes an RPG. Diablo is an ARPG. Don't take that away from me! I have all near perfect ancients on the characters I actually play, so paragon is the only reward I get for playing, but it's still a reward, and I'm fine with that.

You have near perfect ancients and 1k paragon on season and call yourself casual intresting.

Here's the thing, let Blizzard do their job! Nobody here has any right to say what they are doing is right or wrong. How does anyone know that people are not getting banned or that botters haven't been banned? This is not something that Blizzard is going to post or say who they banned, so they may have already banned some. Either way, let them do their job. Whatever they do, they have their reason. If you do not like it, quit!

And if you don't like these treads don't read them. See it swings both ways.

posted a message on We need a fix for leveling up gems - leveling 16 gems per character to level 70+ is a pain especially for multiple characters!

And they did so in a smart way: everyone gets stronger, in a linear way (people that play a lot get higher augments, but they also had more paragon and better gear, so they increase their power with the same %), more "casual" players will use lower level gems as their "end" augment without the real need to upgrade as many gems as often, while the "hardcore players" will go through multiple sets and augment their items multiple times. This way, the balance between casual and hardcore players remains the same (it is a grinding game, someone playing 1 hour per day should not be as powerful as someone playing 12+ hours per day), and everyone will have to put relatively the same effort to keep that balance.

The diablo mantra which i will reject as long as this game don't have linear progression aka i spend 5 hours and are at par with the other person who spent 5 hours.

Also, people do not leave the game because they have to upgrade gems again after augmenting an item, since playing the game means upgrading them anyway. However, making it easier/faster to upgrade them, even if only a few levels, will make leave some people sooner, since "there is nothing left to do". So, changing the process would hurt the player base, not increase it.

Some peopple don't leave the game because they have to upgrade gems again and some people do. Just as making it faster will mean some people stay longer and some leave sooner. I doubt any of us have enough data to predict just how many is in each of these group aswell as non defined groups unless we have blizzard employees hiding here. Claiming anything else is just pure bullshit and opinions should be stated as opinion.

So, mesage to lot of forum users here - learn how to play. Accept playing in groups - dont worry, groups always will be honnored by Blizzard!

4 solo players - using 4 differents servers - or 4 players in a group - on one server - what do you think, what is cheaper for Blizzard?!?

I guess your programming skills are fairly non existent
