Except he isn't, at the d3 vanila ending cinematic he says "since justice has been met... i will now stand as wisdom" :P

Good point, but that doesn't mean that now there is no aspect of Justice. He still wields El'Druin after all.

People that say that it's impossible for Tyrael to become bad (so we can kill him) because he did so much good for humanity, etc. miss the point completely. Tyrael, despite being in a human skin, is still the aspect of Justice. If at any moment the Nephalem stop acting in a just, godly manner (i.e. stop fighting the Burning Hells for any reason) it will be totally in Tyrael's nature to turn against the Nephalem - especially if he thinks that we are corrupted. No diabolic corruption of Tyrael is needed for this.

You look for a way for the Angels to get corrupted, so we can fight them as "the good guys" always do. You fail to understand that the Nephalem don't fight Diablo and the Burning Hells because Humanity is inherently good and it's a good thing to fight evil. Humanity fights against the Burning Hells because the Burning Hells threaten Humanity. It's a fight for survival. Malthael's case proves that Humanity will fight anything that threatens it, no matter the source.

If at some point the Nephalem (us) will decide that the unspoken alliance with the High Heavens against the Burning Hells is of no use then that alliance will be void. And then Tyrael and the High Heavens will turn on the Nephalem... I am certain of it.

It's weird that some people actually think they will make another RTS now when S2 is still getting upgraded. I mean how stupid do you think their money people are when it comes to where they push investments in?! Wasn't this part of the reason why Titan got turned into a shooter and not another MMO to compete with their (still) already massively popular WoW?! And the same logic applies to D3, there is no point in making another ARPG, especially in the same Universe when you have a lot of work ahead of you in the third instalment. I mean, since the last Art director quit, until now, they still somehow managed to finish 2.3, and a few seasons. There are different ranks withing the Art department, and if the head of it quits or moves on, and nothing major is planed for that game, someone can still step up and fill the gap, not to mention that in a company like Blizzard, with so many teams, it's easy to find someone who could do the job, though admittedly you are better off promoting someone from withing the game's team, then bringing someone from outside who may not feel that comfortable with all the responsibility, lack in understanding about the team and what it can do, etc.

Bottom line is that the only logical step for the new Art Director in D3 is the next expansion, not a new game which needs another team entirely, and their jobs opening will not only be limited to 3 people (more if you believe others sources as well). It will require at least a few dozen people and it's more than set in stone that they have no intention of making, at least not any time soon, another game within these genres: ARPG, RTS, MMORPG, Shooter, Card Games, Mobas.

Blizzard will never make games that directly compete with each other. On the other hand, each game has it's finite lifespan - even WoW will end one day. It is totally possible that Blizzard will synchronize stuff in such a way that the franchises will swap game types. It is totally possible that in a few years Warcraft will go back to being the RTS and Starcraft/Diablo will replace Warcraft as the MMO.

That never should happen in the current class system. Each class has to invest in vitality and main stat. If on any class vitality was the main stat then the whole gearing would be much easier for that single class, as one of the primary affixes would be freed for other options.

I mean yes true but also not really. Every other class' mainstat has defensive properties as well such as int giving resist and dex/str giving armor. It means that class will have less armor or resist than any of the other classes.

The point is not about balancing this thing but about fitting it at all into the game. We have limited itemization options. All classes need to choose from a preset set of affixes. A VIT class would have 1 less affix to worry about, so it would be much easier to itemize.

I'm just pointing out that bitching on the forums has kept you amused for years. Indeed, one would have to say, looking at your post history, that you've gotten more entertainment from complaining about Diablo 3 than most people get from games they like.

Is it really that enjoyable posting these whines, month after month, year after year? Is there some point where you think you might seek out a hobby doing something you enjoy, rather than complaining about something you don't? It doesn't have to be computer related. Maybe cooking, or wood-carving, or folk dance, or something?
    You know nothing Jon Snow.

I've spent ~500 hours playing Diablo 3 (just checked). Had a load of fun with it - for a time. And that is the point - the game has flaws that inhibit it's ability to attract significant amounts of people for longer periods of time. Can't you see that? The cycle repeats as follows:

    - New Patch with New Things - spike in the number of players
    - 3 weeks later the number of players is 50% smaller
    - 6 weeks later the number of active players is just as it was before the Patch (if not smaller)
    - Next New Patch with New Things - etc...

I'd gladly play some Diablo 3 again - if there was any point to it. Until the utter pointlessness of the game beyond the item grind is fixed I will come back here with every patch and remind you of the fact that Blizzard in fact didn't do anything revolutionary with the New Patch™.

Whereas bitching on forums can keep you amused for years, AMIRITE?
Give me a break from this argument. Diablo 3 in it's current state is in the "wasted potential" spot. True that some people (probably you too) like it just like it is but the game has fundamental flaws that are not addressed by Blizzard at all. At least 2.1.2 didn't change anything in the long run.

I really don't thing there is anything to be grateful for.

2.1.2 is just another patch that could keep me mildly amused for 2-3 weeks if I had the time for grinding.

posted a message on Anyone else playing S2 only for Transmog?
I just wanted to ask does anyone else feel like me.

So... the new patch and the imminent Season 2 don't give any new purpose to playing Diablo 3. They just added a new layer to the item hunt.

Also, they didn't address one of the primary issues IMO: that everybody are pigeon-holed into using exactly the same 2 rings.

So the only reason why will I start an S2 character is for the transmog, nothing more.

    Anyone else feeling alike?

    1) I'm well aware. I also think they're selling themselves short. I do believe the SC2 engine that keeps being developed (take a look at some of the real-time rendered content in Legacy of the Void 'armory' zone) will be the basis for the next MMO, but as it stands blizz could optimize better. You can make a graphics-heavy game accessible to those with lower end systems by allowing for specific setting to be turned on/off, including things like polygon count.
Is there a company out there that optimizes their games better than Blizzard? Both Starcraft 2 and Diablo 3 can be played at 20+ FPS even on dinosaur-rated PC setups.

yap, I'm pretty sure they're going to announce next expansion before BlizzCon 2015
Probably at gamescom... Both d3v and ros were announced in Europe so i think they will continue that tradition. In general, it always seemed like Diablo is a lot more popular in EU than in the US.
In general I do hope that they will come up with something brilliant for the next expansion pack for Diablo 3. What they showed at Blizzcon is just... nothing new. Diablo 3 needs something that will shock it to it's core, not some quality of life tweaks and more and bigger numbers everywhere.

What was fun about farting small tornadoes and leaving half the mobs on the map with 1/3 hp left? I hated that build.

There is no "end-game" content and we won't get one ever. Diablo is not an MMO. You set a goal for yourself and achieve it. If you achieved all your goals then look for another game, as killing monsters in order to get loot in order to kill more monsters isn't incentive enough to play this game.
