for the most part i Think 2 handed weapons at a slower break point is better, each shot does more damage and a total commitment to attack speed is also going to reduce damage.
Overall I don't think any of the ranged weapons really boosts M6 in an interesting way
I think bows are best if you get 8% increased damage, maybe 2.1.2 will give crossbows better legendary properties
2h weapons at a slower breakpoint is actually weaker. 5 attacks per second sentries destroys etrayu and by extension -> 2h crossboww. Those links that people have been posting in this thread have outlined perfectly why having a sentry shoot 5 EA per second is incredibly better than having 3 spenders.
You have more than enough cdr. I think the problem lies with the how you are using Horrify. You should know that Horrify acts like an aura. Mobs who stay within the range of the aura (24 yards assuming you are using the distance rune), will be feared for 7 seconds pending horrify refreshes. However, if you move away and try to fear other targets, then those mobs who were within the radius will be "unfeared"
