I can't wait to try the changes myself. From what i saw, they all looks pretty sweet. Tons of buffs. Two of my fav skills are cluster arrow and strafe, when i saw the buffs to those i think i got a semi. I'll be so happy to swap out rapid fire, i really don't like standing still.
Vengeange looks sick too.

Maybe you should start your own forum so you can express your "hatered" there and stop wasting our time here. Or maybe you should just log back into D2 and put in another 10 hours or so because I don't think 50hrs in 4 day is enough.

Well a chill effect is cool and all but i'm actually kinda bummed if they bumped to knockback down to 20%. My current windy has 44% knockback which is pretty sweet spot. As Efrye said you don't actually get that percentage in game with the DH skill's proc co-efficents (except for shock collar, that is pretty fun with the windy, even with the crappy 90% damage). So anything less than say 40% would kinda suck as far as knockback goes. Unless they adjust proc rates. Anyone remember how sick windy was on a D2 strafeazon? Thats the kinda knockback i want!Posted in: Demon Hunter: The Dreadlands
I was hoping if they ditch the lifesteal on it they would put something more interesting that a random stat in its place. Maybe a piercing effect or something, idk. If I were to re-roll my current windy the life steal is definitely the stat i'd ditch.

Just curious if anyone in the RoS Beta has found the new level 70 version of a Windforce yet?Posted in: Demon Hunter: The Dreadlands
I've been a WIndforce user for a very long time (was by favorite d2 weap), and i refuse to give it up! I do wish it's damage was a little more competitive with Manticore, but it is still fun as hell pinning mobs up against a wall with the knock back.
Just curious if it got a damage buff... and curious what they did with the life steal that was on it.

Posted in: Diablo III General DiscussionQuote from tadrinthThe REAL problem is if the Toughness stat includes dodge chance. A DH with very high Dex will have quite good dodge chance, and thus an inflated toughness stat. Since you can't dodge ground effects, elemental packs will hurt far more than someone with toughness derived from armor/vit/AR. Large single hits will also feel much more spikey if your toughness is mostly from dodge. Monks can at least convert some Dex into armor; DH currently have no equivalent.
Is there any confirmation one way or the other yet on the "toughness" stat including dodge? Just curious.
I play DH mostly and i really have no complaints with dodge. I suppose it does slightly inflate the stat since you can't dodge everything. But one side benefit of dodge that people don't always realize is that when you actually dodge something, not only do you avoid the damage completely but you also avoid the CC. I find this extremely valuable against the Fallen Masters and the Grotesque and other annoying mobs with things like knockback. It can be very handy only getting knocked around half a much as your buddies. Leaves me more time to kill stuff!
Anyway, i'll be happy to have toughness, it will definitely save me some time making gear decisions. Plus i can remove another app from my phone! (cya gear guru, it's been fun)

omg those strongarm bracers will be so sick with a DH windforce build. Me want now! I'm so jealous of you guys, crossing my fingers for closed beta key (maybe i should send a letter to santa?)Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion

Maybe they changed it in 1.08 when they added the new mini-map icons and the floating sheilds over out banners in town. But i'm better it the game always knew, not quite sure why they would lie about it though.

My little pet "mr. raven" unfortunately thinks that goblin flesh is "to die for". And usually that ends up being exactly what happens. I play it cool and stand back at a distance and get ready to type "gob" to alert the crew. But before i even get the chance mr. raven has already flown his impatient ass over for a bite. Which of course starts the chase that usually ends up with everyone dead.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
But then again mr. raven is there to regenerate my hatred. And he certainly does a really good job at that...

I chose the 4 player coop. I have already demo'd the game on my Xbox 360 with the free downloadable demo. Already i have sucked 2 new friends into the game just playing the demo. I haven't justified buying it myself yet since I'm so invested in the PC version already.Posted in: News & Announcements
But if i were to get it for my Xbox 360 i would definitely be getting my friends over for long nights of demon slaying and cold beers. Much more convenient then filling up my basement with 4 PCs in order for us all to play together.

I actually miss kiting/dodging. DH has been my main since the start. I used to love kiting mobs and throwing down caltrops waiting till they get snared, then popping cluster bombs or the like then vaulting off. It was much more fun and took some skill to play back then, i had timing of arcane beams and distance of mortars figured out real well and was getting real good at dodging things like goatmen's spears and shaman fireballs etc.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
This old thread/video shows almost the exact way i used to play my DH, which was a hell of alot more fun than now.
I feel like i have lost some skill of late since now all i have to do is run into a crowd, pop SP gloom, and start the grenade hose and let the lifesteal keep me alive forever. And this works on MP10 and I barely ever die. It really should not be this easy. I actually got so sick of playing this way i often ditch out my manticore for a windforce and play a different (yet far less efficent) build, that usually includes kiting and some skill to keep me awake and having some fun.
So needless to say im phyched about these changes.. as long as they do them right!
