posted a message on Convention of elements and " every rune" effects

    Hello guys.

I was wondering, how does the ring " convention of elements" - the one that cycle through your elements to give a huge bonus every 4 seconds - behaves with effects that give you "every rune" for a skill. Like, let's say, Raekor 4 pieces set bonus?

I once read that the skills considers your highest elemental dmg bonus to determine damage. Does it mean that you always have the 180-200% dmg bonus to your charge skill with this ring ?

So, you craft it the exact same way you craft the ring? Time to farm so keys then.

Also, it won't be that difficult to have a good roll. Either it rolls one of the passives you already use, then you can just replace the one on your sheet with whatever you want. Or it rolls one of the others your build would benefit from, but that you gave upon. For some builds, those two options easily cover half of the passives available for the class.

I don't really understand how you can be focused on only one specific item during 100 levels. I mean, if lifes gives you lemon, then switch to a lemon build.

In a hack n slash, you kill bigger things to gear yourself. In a mmo, You gear yourself to kill bigger things.

    The difference is subtle.

Diablo's loot is better but Wow's boss fights are better.

posted a message on Legendary Gems - Only for Ring and Amulets?
I'm pretty excited about those legendary gems.

Can't really say they'll be mandatory on the rings and amulet slots without seeing what it actually is. You can already have really sweet stats on those pieces.

Also they said they'll be "infinitely upgradable" so maybe they'll start with lower stats than actual affixes you can have on those slots, and you'd have to uprgade them several times before they reach or surpass other possible affixes.

But since they're the first legendary socketable, I bet they'll be mandatory. I don't mind. That's what the game is about. Some item is the best, until they add better stuff.

One thing's for sure, with finery, Crusaders will get more benefit from those than other classes.

posted a message on if ladder and non-ladder had the same content which would you play?
    Quote from Snaps
I've already stopped playing. I loved RoS and they changed the game for the better, that's for sure. I was super excited for Tiered Rifts, and I was praying that this new super difficult leader-board-ranked-mode would be where they would add new items and content. New content for everybody, that everyone could play and enjoy.

I can't believe if you want to play Tiered Rifts you have to be in Seasonal or wait X Months before you are allowed. They have shifted entirely from having no ladders/seasons, to now wanting the players to only play ladders. Without any testing, without even know if the players want this. This is not how it should be, they should give players choice, and I mean real choice - not this bullshit that they're throwing at us now.

Anyway, I hated ladders in Diablo 2, and there is absolutely no reason for them in Diablo 3. It's not a character building game, I do not want to keep making new Witch Doctors.

Adding ladders would have been fine if they were truly optional, but they're not, and the most unbelievable part is all this new content is strictly ladder only. They had so many options of new content, but going this boring, old and lazy route has really left me with no desire to play.

I didn't have a large Guild - around 12-15 members, but everyone has stopped playing since the announcement of ladder only loot. Seems it's ladder only rifts now too. Guess the games just not for me any more.
You don't have to play ladder to access the tiered rifts.

posted a message on Why fix what isn't broken? (Demon Hunter)
I kinda understand OP's reaction since one of the first changes we hear about DH is a nerf to a very popular skill. I know it's not the only thing and it's taken out of contest. But it's really bad communication from their part. Also, the nerf's sugar coated with lame justifications like " It's for your own good, we don't want you to waste your precious discipline" ... that's not very convincing.

But hey, at least, they warned the players beforehand.

Anyone else feels like they should just add the keywardens to the list of rift guardians and let the rift guardians drop the keys?

posted a message on [Guide] Legendary Crafting Materials - Drop locations & uses
Thanks op! It's a real awesome guide. The game wouldn't have been as fun without it. Once I got an adventurer's journal from a dead cow. I wondered how it got there. What kind of adventurer gets himself killed and eaten by a cow? Or maybe, the cow was the adventurer and she wrote some adventurous cow tales in the journal? I suppose now we'll never know...

posted a message on Your opinion about removing the crafting materials
Well, now they can be used as a stepping stone, and if you get lucky enough to find the ring, they become best in slot. But it's mainly the ring that does the magic without it... you'llf find upgrades soon enough. They always had two use. It's just that now their main use as shifted a bit.

You also have to understand that the ring spared you the cost of a third piece. Wich meant more mats to roll the best out of the others. It was huge by yesterday's standart. You can't pin this on the crafting systems. That ring warps a bit the process of gearing your caracter. It's not a perfect curve. And It shouldn't be.

But about the reapers, I agree. They're very powerfull. Maybe it'll be too easy to get them now. Or maybe you'll have to roll ten crappy ones before seing something you can use....

    I'm happy with the change.

The mats were nice and added some flavour to the game, but hunting them was a pain. It wasn't a part of the game I enjoyed.

80% of the plans I've found will never have been of use because I found and upgrade way before I got the mats. I never got to craft reapers for exemple, when I needed them because the mats never dropded. Now I have better.

With the community buff to legendary drops and the recent buff to set pieces drop, it would have been idiotic to keep these legendary craft so long to make when better stuff could be found right around the corner.

I thought they must have been meant as a stepping stone. And now the crafting system finally makes sense. I'm looking forward to stuff my ladder characters with those crafts.

posted a message on Offensive stats
Hello. I would like some advice on what to reroll regarding offensive slots. Like rings, amulets, gloves...

What's best between crit, crit dmg, dmg range, attack speed, strength, area dmg, elemental dmg... etc?

What would you call a perfectly rolled ring or amulet or glove?

( I know the question is a bit vague, but let's say, regardless of builds, cooldown reduction etc...)
